I came for Chris Oatey’s «Animate Objects» and Martin Durazo’s «Plata O Plomo» exhibits. The gallery space is small, but not too small. It’s a big enough space to take the viewers on a trip through the artist’s works. The gallery is divided into two spaces, one for each exhibit, and the entire space was curated very beautifully and cohesively. I fell in LOVE with Chris Oatey’s work. His paintings and drawings have a very 3-dimensional quality to it, and makes your eyes get a little lost. Beautiful work. I spoke with the owner of the gallery who is a lovely man. He is very friendly and welcoming… and PASSIONATE about art. Great experience.

A lovely small gallery downtown that’s a terrific place to discover emerging artists. The owner has an eclectic eye & is well plugged into local talent. If you’re looking to discover art & artists who have not yet become nationally/internationally overhyped phenomena check out CB1.
