We were in L.A. for the night visiting family and wanted Chinese take-out. We found Century Dragon on Unilocal and decided to try it since it was close by. We looked at the menu online but decided to go in to order. The man who was taking orders and running the register greeted us as soon as we opened the door and offered a table for us to sit down while we looked over the menu. He continued to be very kind and helpful the whole time we were there; he showed us the half and full-size entrée and soup takeout containers so we could be sure we were ordering the right amount of food. Ordering was quick and easy. One of the dishes we ordered was the steamed fish fillet with black bean sauce but we needed it with no sauce due to one family member being on a strict diet. About a minute after the order had been placed, our new friend came out of the kitchen and advised that without sauce the fish would«not be tasty!» We acknowledged and they continued preparing the food, which also included spring rolls, egg drop soup, sweet and sour shrimp, beef with broccoli, and orange chicken. Everything was ready in less than 10 minutes. We were impressed with the care that went into the takeout package. They padded the bottom of the plastic bag with cardboard to stabilize it so the containers would not shift on the way home, and two corners of the box that held the spring rolls had been cut as vents so the rolls would not get soggy from their own steam. The food was delicious and hot. Our only complaint is that the shrimp tasted a little too«fishy.» We have decided this will be our go-to place when we are in the area and craving Chinese food.

Just keeps getting better. I’ve never ordered anything that wasn’t delicious. Delivery is cheerful and super-quick. Has become my hands-down go-to for Chinese food.

Great Chinese food in he neighborhood! We have passed this restaurant for over 30 years and never tried it. Finally we did and glad to say we were very pleasantly surprised! Simon, the owner and cook bought the place 2 years ago and has made his mark. He is concerned about quality and taste. Some highlights are, Empire Shrimp– crispy, spicy grilled with broccoli and Chow fun noodles. Can’t wait to go back a 3rd time!

They got our delivery order totally wrong. Such a shame. And they didn’t give us any utensils either! I’m giving 2 stars instead of only 1 because at least the few things they got right tasted decent. But overall, I probably won’t be ordering from this place again. So disappointed.

I wanted to like the restaurant… I truly did. I tried the restaurant around the corner from me and it fell flat(a few times). I saw some reviews for this place and decided to give it a try using Unilocal’s Eat 24 app. I completely forgot about my 1st experience from October so I ordered through the app again tonight… big mistake! Usually, the app will give you a status of your order and after 20 minutes I had no status on this order so I requested one. I was told that they contacted the restaurant and I was told my order was out for delivery. After an additional 25 minutes, I became more aggravated with each minute that passed. My food finally arrived after an hour and 15 minutes from when the restaurant confirmed the order within the app and it was cold. The quality of the food was decent enough that I would have ordered from them again. Not sure if eating at the restaurant is any better but I will not return to find out.

Came here to grab a quick bite and left completely satisfied. This is a hidden joint with quick made to order chinese food at an affordable price. The owner greeted us as we came in and was super pleasant. To be honest his demeanor added so much to our whole experience. We ordered mongolian beef and scheshwan chicken with veggie dumplings. Everything was delicious. Its not a fancy shmancy place but great for a quick bite or take out. Give it a try and support this family owned business.

Very good fried rice and honey walnut shrimp. The egg rolls were a little salty though.

Came to my door in just under 40 minutes. Awesome lunch portions for $ 7, the beef with broccoli, hot and sour soup, and pork dumplings tasted great! I’ve finally found my go-to Chinese delivery!

Stopped in because we were hungry for lunch. The place was empty but we thought we thought we would just get something basic and be on our way. Ordered chicken with broccoli. Nothing special about 3 stars or so. The problem is the serving size was so small. We ordered the full entrée and for $ 10. It was as big the lunch size. 1 star There was one person inthere and got this nassive serving of pad thai but ours wasn’t even enough for one person. Would hate to know how small the actual lunch size or half portion is. Cleanliness about 3.
Very disappointed

Food was ok. Fortune cookies had no fortunes in them, my kids were a litle disapointed. The orange chicken tasted a bit old. I was disappointed because I was feeding a party of 10 and half of my orange chicken was cooked ok and the other half tasted old anf burnt.

Stopped in because I was looking for a sit down place to eat while traffic died down. This place was awesome. The food was delicious, service was fast, and you can’t ask for nicer people. I was truly humbled by their attentiveness and kindness. I just wish I didn’t live so far away. I’ll definitely stop by again if I’m in the area.

I LOVE this place. Susie is so nice and personable. With being a vegetarian is tough to find chinese places to accommodate me, but this place does not disappoint. I have options of veggie orange chicken, veggie beef and broccoli just to name a few. Everything is so yummy. I try to come as often a I can. And they have so many regulars. Susie knows exactly what each person orders she is awesome.

I rarely come out of the office for lunch and I know this place because they have this magnificent garlic chicken for lunch. The garlic chicken here is simply amazing, I love the taste of this chicken. To rate this from 1 – 10? I will give this one a 9 rating. This place has also nice place, although I came here not too often but I really like this place.

Standard Chinese American food. My husband goes here a lot so he orders something off the menu called Princess Chicken 6.50. It’s white meat chicken with snow peas, mushrooms and bamboo shoots in a white sauce. Sauce tastes like msg and salt in a cornstarch slurry. Mmmmm. Living close to San Gabriel Valley makes me turn my nose at these restaurants but he likes it a lot. Supposedly they remind him of the indo-chinese restaurant Pan-Nam in Jakarta. It’s good if you like the fusion chinese stuff.

Ummmm. So I ordered by phone to have the food delivered. The guy took my order took my card in for and them told me they were busy and it would be 55 minutes… blank stare… Our food came but it came without rice??? Because I had shrimp and brocolli without rice my food was extremely salty. They delivered the food without any forks so we had to go to the hotel restaurant to get some. The egg rolls were good.

I love the Century Dragon in Burbank(I’m not sure if this one is related to that one or not), but I found the Pico location to be not quite as impressive. This location, however, has vegetarian«chicken» and«beef,» which is usually intriguing enough to set a place apart from the pack. I got the veggie chicken with broccoli($ 11) and the kung pao tofu($ 10). The veggie chicken had great sauce and the broccoli was nicely cooked, but the«chicken» didn’t taste so good. It had a weird, sweet aftertaste that really ruined the dish. Once I doused each piece of chicken in the roasted chili oil on the table, it helped a fair amount, but still not enough. The kung pao tofu tasted better overall, but the tofu was poorly prepared. It looked fried, but was really soggy off-the-bat, so that reduced a lot of the appeal. They give you a big bowl of brown rice for $ 2, though the brown rice was of low-quality(really mealy and dry). The service was friendly, though. While I appreciate that Century Dragon has less-obvious vegan/vegetarian options, I don’t think the preparation quality here justifies another visit.

I’m not from the far east, but this place feels like home. Susie is a sweetheart. She recognized us the second time we came in and makes us feel like old friends. I enjoy chatting with her and I love the almond cookies she gives to her«VIP» customers. The food is delicious. Every time we try to order something different, but we end up getting the lemon crispy fish and veggie fried rice. We usually mix up the third dish to try someyhing new. The lemon crispy fish is my all time favorite. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. Century Dragon does not disappoint.
