I love the chicken nachos and Carne asada fries from here they taste really good. Compared to any other place I have been to the asada fries are ridiculously delicious!

asada fries are better than alberto’s in my opinion! judging from the preview reviews, I guess their food is a hit or miss. The first few times I came here, service was on point but today it wasn’t. Imma assume it was because the girl was a new worker so she didn’t know how to do everything. I always call and order beforehand so I don’t have to wait for my food but she messed up nachos with fries. I would have been fine with it but she didn’t ask me and the guy changed it right away.

I went a couple days and ordered asada fries. I was really looking forward to them and was disappointed :(they were awful! The hamburger was ok. But wouldn’t go back. Friendly customer service!

(Carne Asada Nachos) are my favorite from here. Like the fact that their service during lunch time is pretty fast.

I just bought a carne asada burrito for lunch from Chano’s and I have to say I’m pretty dissapointed. The burrito wasn’t bad it’s actually what you expect from any Los Angels mexican spot… EXCEPT it’s bite sized in comparison to any other restaurant in L.A. I finished eating my burrito and I’m still hungry… for a $ 7 burrito you would expect more than a burrito the size of a Taco Bell Burrito Supreme. The food is good but when you’re eating mostly tortilla I feel like you’re being ripped off. I suggest going somewhere else if you don’t feel like throwing money away.

Best asada fries ever ! The pico de gallo they add gives it the extra flavor. Highly recommend

Hands down the best Mexican food there is!!! Their carne asada burrito is phenomenal and to die for. Its big enough where you can eat half for lunch and the rest for dinner. Just simply amazing!!!

Don’t expect great customer service but a good spot to get your Mexican fix on. I like to get their Chilli Relleno burrito. I usually go to location in Temple City but this one is near my work.

My low score is the horrible service I have received there the past few visits. I hadn’t been here in about 18 months and went back about 6 weeks ago and then again today. Today I went through drive thru on my way into work. Sat at the order window for 5 mins, after I said hello a few times the guy comes on and takes my order. I drive up to the window and after about 10 mins nobody has come to the window. I park and go inside to see if I was forgotten. There are 3 cooks and 1 taking the orders and 2 other customers inside. I tell him that I’ve been sitting in drive thru for 10 minutes and all he says almost laughing is that he’s busy. I wanted to slap that smirk off his face as I walked out. I’m sorry I work hard for my money and not going to spend it on a business who doesn’t care about customer service. There are far too many other places like Chano’s around them to not care.

This is one of those Mexican joints that is not reallly Mexican but more Mex Am cuisine! Either way everything here is pretty good– Tons of cheddar cheese on every item and the portions are plentiful– I an a sucker for their Breakfast burrito, simple yet the beans are refried to perfection!!! Other items like the sopes, tacos and their famous carne asada fries are my favorite choices!

Great food! The best breakfast burrito around. I started buying them a while back and my coworkers started asking for them so I’m up to buying seven. I’m not veggie but the veggie nachos are so good. The portion is very generous so I usually share. Everything on the menu is good and you won’t find a better price. You should keep in mind that the food is fresh so they are not as fast as you may like, I suggest that you call ahead if you are in a hurry. But I will say that the wait is worth it. The staff is friendly and if you go often like me, they will even know your name. If you don’t believe me, compare the lines at the fast foods restaurants at the other corners, Chanos line is always longer because it is better.

3.5STARS Good quality PASTRAMI… great for the price! $ 7 for an 8-inch sub with American cheese, pickles and mayo. The roll was also fresh and SO soft. Delish! Service was fast and everyone spoke perfect English so no awkward moment of «lost in translation». Sometimes the case when I go to authentic Mexican spots! I know, I know… it’s my fault. I should really learn the language of Los Angeles if I’m gonna be hitting up these local gems. Parking was convenient since they have a small lot. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of street parking in the area. Drive-thru is also an option if you don’t want to eat there. The dining room inside is kinda small(seats about 20) but they also have shaded tables outside. A nice bonus is a TV inside. Now if they can just put SportsCenter on instead of some Mexican novela then we’d be all set!

I like Chanos. Be a fan since the one Figueroa location. It’s good fast food with decent portions. I love how they serve crunchy tacos. I love crunchy tacos. Not to many places sell them. Also, I like how the chicken is fried/grilled not stew meat. Many places do the stew style. Oh BTW read on one of the reviews they’re not fond of the shredded cheese. I like it. I’ve had the nachos here and THEY are bangin.

I’ve been to Chano’s Drive-in near USC but never to this Chano’s, although it is so close to me. Hungry with an immediate need for food within the next 5 minutes, I stopped by Chano’s after work. It was busy with about 8 customers dining in. I ordered a potato taco, carne asada taco and carne asada fries. The potato taco came loaded with lettuce, cheese and tomatoes in a hard taco shell. I was confused at first when I opened the taco. I thought that maybe they forgot the potato and it was only filled with lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. But as I continued eating my taco, I could taste the mashed potatoes. I only wish I could taste the potatoes more. The carne asada taco was good and hearty. They gave me plenty of meat and the red salsa went great with it. The portion of the carne asada fries were a tad bit disappointing. I was accustomed to getting huge portions of carne asada fries from other Mexican restaurants. However, this filled up about halfway of the large styrofoam box. The fries were topped with meat, beans, tomatoes, onions and guacamole. I doused it with the red salsa to give it more flavor. They used the type of fries that are thicker than shoestring but smaller than steak fries. The fries were nothing special but hit the spot. I am in no worry to go back to Chano’s but if I ever have a Mexican food craving and happen to be around here, I might drop by Chano’s again.

I’ve passed by this place so many times over the years, but I never bothered stopping by, and I wish that I would have a long time ago. This place is pretty delicious. They have their drive-thru open now, so you don’t even have to get out of your car to order food. As for the food, my buddy and I got pastrami sandwiches with fries. Let me tell you, they give you a lot of fries. It’s nuts how much fries they gave us. The pastrami sandwich itself was delicious. It’s a good size, 6 – 8 inches long, but its jam packed with meat, it falls out of the bread because there is so much. The meat is flavorful and tender, good flavor. I had not had pastrami in a while, and I’m glad that I was able to change that. We also tried the nachos, and holy hell, they are amazing. The cheese is so flavorful and seems to be a combination of two cheeses. I am not sure exactly, but it was fantastic. I highly recommend getting nachos here.

I remember seeing this place on a top 10 list of best carne asada fries in LA. I remember driving by this place every sunday on my way to church. I remember having a craving for carne asada fries yesterday. I remember… ok fine I’ll stop… so i came here yesterday with a couple friends to try the carne asada fries. We also split the nachos with carne asada. I was disappointed to find that there was no real nacho cheese, just shredded cheese that wasn’t even melted. Perhaps the bar for carne asada fries in LA is set so low that this place made a top 10 list but there are definitely better places in LA. The carne asada tasted pretty good though, and the red salsa wasn’t bad. If i come back here, I’ll probably try a burrito or something…
