REALLY good food and bread. So why only 4 stars? The prices have really increased since they expanded and opened up their restaurant that’s conjoined to the bakery. I get it — it’s a small business and I’m all for supporting small businesses. But I think it’s getting a little outta hand. Today I ordered a breakfast plate that consists of a platano frito, your choice of beans or casamiento, cream, and a roll of bread. The price is $ 5.75. I also got 4 pieces of bread, one of which was a concha. So when I got rung up my total came out to $ 9.40. So… if the food is almost $ 6 then the other $ 3 and change account for the bread? Mind you, we’re talking about small pieces of sweet bread. Not cake or elaborate pastries. I dunno guys… Seems kinda sketchy to me. I’m just saying. They need to tone it down a notch. Am I still going to keep coming here? You betcha. But it’ll be with squinted eyes and a grumble or two. The food is still bomb so they got me there! They take cash and cards, which they charge a service fee for.

I’m a regular here but today they expanded and added a restaurant next door. I ordered platanos fritos with black beans cream snd 2 eggs over easy. Their tamales from Guatemala are super delish. the pork ones are the best! So yummy. They have a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Very inexpensive and you can take some sweet bread to go ;)

A cool little panadreia that in addition to Mexican fare offers Central American pan dulce. They’ve got a TV with a couple tables and so you can hang out if you like. Also open late so you can grab something yummy tonight and have it waiting for you for breakfast tomorrow.
