I come here for Korean comfort food by way of(above average) jjajangmyun,(spicy enough) jjambbong and(stellar, stellar, delicious) kimchi dumplings, and have never left disappointed. Service is standard K-Town, meaning you shouldn’t expect much without asking. It’s a pretty small location but was made famous after Dodgers’ Ryu Hyun-jin dropped by for a visit with a TV crew. It still doesn’t get too crowded. There’s valet parking in the back for $ 2.

This place is one the best places if you are craving some good korean spicy noodle soup. The flavor and texture of the soup is nice and the spiciness gives it an authentic taste which all together makes a great dish. I recommend the mandu its only 4.99 and the quantity of mandu(dumplings) will satisfy your cravings i do recommend coming here it is one of the best places i love to stop by in korea town. The service is also very welcoming

Came here the other night with the boyfriend cos we were craving some jja jjang myun. This place is located right next to o dae san so they share the same parking lot. Parking is $ 2 since its valet. Walked in and was seated right away. The restaurant itself was pretty small but there was seating outside and inside. The BF and I both ordered jja jjang myun and we also ordered the kimchi Mandoo. The food took about 10 – 15 minutes to come out. The banchan(side dishes) they served us were the typical! Onions, kimchi, and yellow radishes. I thought the jja jjang myun itself was just okay, definitely had better but the kimchi Mandoo was surprisingly really good! I kept reaching for more. Price wise, it came out to be $ 18.50. Not baddd. I’ll probably drop by this place again but till then finding a better jja jjang myun place~~

The kimchi dumplings are great and for 4.99 u can’t pass this place. There sweet and sour pork is average and kind of dry. Will be back for the dumplings!

Best cham pong in the world! Great value. If you like spicy seafood noodle in broth this is paradise! Only If God comes down in flesh and make Cham pong would there be a better version of this dish. Mussels, shrimps, squid were all super fresh. Noodles were silky smooth. The Kim chi dumplings were delicious as well!

I visited Cho Man Won seeking Korean-style dumplings and left pretty satisfied. I very much enjoyed their kimchi stuff pork dumplings. Although I can’t say the same about their deep-fried ones, i’m sure that their pan-fried dumplings would be very good. More importantly, their spicy noodles were also very good. We sat in their little outdoor patio, and I assume they also have indoor seating. Valet-parking for about $ 2 makes it not too bad.

I originally wanted to go to Young King for jjajangmyun for lunch, but yet are closed on Mondays so we wound up here. I heard that they also have good gogi mandoo(beef dumplings) so that’s why. The jjajangmyun was good, tasty, and cheap. The gogi mandoo had the thin skin. I was hoping for the thicker flour skin(you know it’s more bread-ish) so I was a little disappointed. This was more like Chinese xiao long bao, but not as good. Now from looking at other tables, the order here may be the jjamppong(spicy noodles). It came in a ginormous bowl and looked delish. Overall, it’s a solid place to go for Korean-Chinese in Ktown. Valet parking only but it’s only a dollar you cheapie.

Parked in front of O Dae San and this is literally right next to it, sitting in the corner. It’s interesting to note that the servers here wear bright orange O Dae San shirts, hmmm. One of the ladies forgot our water and gave us our banchan first, even hustling to the Korean families who arrived after us with water, so we had to ask. Luckily, there was a nice server who gave us our water and made sure everything was ok afterwards. Thank you, ahjumma! Atmosphere is quiet and the food comes out very quickly. You can see the guy making mandu in the corner, each little dumpling a bit uneven. I got one with more skin on the twisted part and one that was perfect. We got the meat mandu, but I’m not quite sure what kind of meat it was even though it says«beef». Light filling with finely minced veggies and rice noodle! Jajangmyun was pretty good. Different flavor for the sauce than other places, and not as salty. Glazed chicken was massive for $ 9.99. Many pieces were heavily breaded and the sauce tasted like gochujang mixed with something else, but it was still pretty good. It was sprinkled with coarsely chopped peanuts, so if you have an allergy, beware! An okay place to have a cheap, light lunch.

Server is too busy watching the TV to even notice us and take order… Then we had to ask our small plates be changed 4 times because they were dirty… only to find out that the server’s hand was dirty. She said she wiped it with a tissue but I am here thinking… why not wash with soap and water? There is a reason why their public health rating is a B. The shells? They are poorly prepared, as you chew on sand, gotta spit those out… My dad likes here because of the amount of food, but I’d rather go elsewhere for less food with better quality…

Wow, just tried this place over the week and really enjoyed everything I had. Went with 2 friends and we shared 1 plate of gogi dumplings and 1 plate of kimchi dumplings and had my own jjambbong. The dumplings were really good especially for $ 5. The jjambbong portion was huge!!! You can easily split this between 2, maybe even 3 people. Generous amounts of seafood, tasty noodles, and really spicy but tasty broth. Definitely want to go back and try the jjangjjang myun and other menu items. The restaurant is small so expect a wait if you go at normal lunch/dinner times.

This place is hard to spot! After finding it on Unilocal,a bunch of friends and I came here to grab some dumplings. This place is on the corner, with a hidden valet parking lot in the back. There is a nice patio seating as well as indoor seating. They have a few things on the menu, like 10 items and run out of things a lot. We tried the dumplings of various sorts, my fav being the kimchee dumplings. The chewy noodles were also good. The chicken was flavorful too! They have good kimchee here, and interesting side dishes including raw onions with hoisin sauce for dipping, something I’ve not yet seen as a korean side dish. Overall a good place to grab food. They have a spicy seafood bowl, which I was told was really spicy(and I believe it) but it looked yummy as well! Service is decent. Parking is street or valet.

$ 4.99 now for dumplings. The beef one is better than the kimchi ones. Everything is good for the price but I think they are slowly starting to raise the prices! The service is really bad. I flag down a lady and she always says hold on, be right back but comes back wayyyy later. Some people ordered before us but didn’t get their food even until we were almost done. They just left, annoyed.

I researched to find this place because I was on a hunt to try that Chinese-Korean restaurant that was on my favorite TV show! After struggling a bit, I found that it was Cho Man Won and so… I went! Pros: –LOVETHEIRSPICYNOODLESAKAJJAMPONG! It is seriously spicy and will make you sweat like crazy, but it is goooooooood! I loved how they made the soup without overloading the soup with hot oil which I don’t like because it’s too greasy & since it hurts my lips after. But this, which comes out in a ginormous bowl, was by far the best jjampong I’ve had in a long time! I also love how they are generous with their seafood! –Loved their dumplings! –Their jjajang noodle was decent –Service was superb. Even though it was a very busy lunch time(we had to wait about 30min), they knew exactly who came first and even took orders according to when they came in! Servers were also all very hard-workers and brought necessary spoons/sharing bowls and such to each table even before our food came out! I mean, how many restaurants look over the menu and cater to customers before they ask, right? –Price! I don’t know about you, but I sure love yummy food that is affordable! Cons: –This is unfortunate… but I did notice the B sign –Valet parking –Due to how busy they are, service was a bit slow I am for sure coming back here and will try other dishes such as their meat dishes(glazed chicken & tangsuyook) because they ended up selling out from the high demand!

BEST JJambong in all of LA… Yes, I know that’s a bold statement, but my socks were knocked off! I drove by this place a couple times and the banner always caught my attention. The specialize in jjambong and dumplings. Best part is that the dumplings are on sale for $ 3.99. Steal. For $ 7.99, the jjambong is about 2 times bigger than normal and is served in an XXL bowl. It’s filled with seafood: tiger shrimp, fresh manila clams, mussel, squid and lots of veggies. The noodles are thick and chewy, but you know what the best part is? The BROTH. Omg, it’s really spicy but sooo deliciously flavorful and imho, absolute perfection. I see myself eating here alot during the colder months ahead =) The dumplings come 10 pieces with your choice of kimchee, meat, or vegetables. I had the kimchee and they were good. The thin skin was chewy and it was bursting with kimchee in the inside. They’ve only been open 2 months but it’s obvious people are starting to take notice. It was packed. They only have about 6 items in total on their menu, but based on what I’ve tried today, I’m confident that all must be good. TIP: they don’t serve anything with noodles for take out. BOO… And NO, you cannot take your noodle leftovers as well so be prepared to stuff your face silly. I’ll be back. SOON.
