Amazing service. Cannot wait to come back. Jessica is such a sweet and hospitable bartender. This is quite the hidden gem in downtown for good pours, rich foods, and great prices.

Best churros. Super nice guy working there. I went there after finding some not so nice things and being heart broken. Basically crying in a bar at noon. The worst, but the guy working there was super nice. And I loved the churros.

Love this place! I work around the block, and I have to say I love this place so freaking much!!! The Micheladas that Jessica makes are the absolute best!!! They’re hella spicy but AMAZING. My favorite thing to eat here is the chicken nachos and the«El Tuco» Burger. This last item is especially delish, burger AND a chile relleno all in between the same burger bun, freaking mind blowing!!! Service here is amazeballs, from the boss man to the staff.

Loved this place! Didn’t catch our server’s name but she was amazing! Super nice and very attentive. The food was super good. We ordered the chicken nachos and carne asada fries. The prices were great too. Couldn’t believe how cheap our bill came out. Can’t wait to go back

If you go to the theater or another event in downtown, please take time in Coronados to happy hour. Good price, good beer and amazing nachos. The people are very friendly. Should you go!

Dissapointed. On Cinco De Mayo — our DRINKS took forever to xome out a cohole shots and margarita we got complimentary chips and salsa six od us shared a 5 oz bowl. FOOD after we had all finished our drinks we sat their patiently for another twentie minutes never got asked if we want any other drinks we asked about our food our server said«they havent even started it» –thomas we cancled that we were told we would recieve a discount. He try to over charge us and then give us the discount. Drinks — okay Food — never got to try Service — bad Edit * excuse the typos but i was still a little buzzed after writing. This review went to a couple of bars on that block. But yeah sober me still agrees

Bomb a** tostada. Really. Not a fan of their other options but this one is by far the best. Not your run of the mill spot(especially in DTLA), however it feels like a homely place. Owner is a nice fella and the bartender is cute! I love him!(I really do!!) ;) See you all next time!

Good downtown Los Angeles spot to come in and have a bite or a drink. I originally came here because I saw the steak fries had gotten some popularity online. They were good! They have a limited amount of beer on tap however but a variety on their food menu. The staff was really friendly. Parking is parking in downtown L.A. this place looks good to come in at night too. They have a great location in relation to other attractions in downtown too. A must try.

Little pricey for decent Mexican. They also wrap their takeout tacos in this paper stuff that sticks to the tortilla and makes it come apart when trying to unwrap and eat the taco. Good Horchata. Downtown fries are decent. Meat is a bit on the salty side, no matter what you’re getting.

Got totally fooled by the instagram photos of fresh, delicious looking food. I don’t know where they take the well lit photos because the place is super dark inside too. Service was bad. Everything took forever. The only server was also the bartender and couldn’t handle all of it properly. She was also having an argument on her phone outside when we walked in. She was very very nice but overwhelmed for sure. This is a dive bar with gross food and a dirty atmosphere. A back of the house employee had to ask a man to leave while we were there. We left full plates of food. It was that bad.

I love coming this place the owner Robert & his staff are so nice & polite as well the food is amazing & really yummy. One of my favorites is the downtown asana fries I just can’t get enough! If you haven’t tried it you are missing out! Don’t just walk by and let this gem pass you up walking on in sit down at the bar or table grab you & drink, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. :)

I really like that this place because it is never super crowded or busy even at peak Saturday night hours so it’s a chill local spot where you can still get a drink or a beer and not have to wait forever or deal with big crowds. The bartender Jessica is my favorite and she makes the best margaritas. I always get the strawberry lemonade one. The portions are pretty decent too and they are vegetarian friendly and able to modify some items for me. It’s a local spot that isn’t the most glamorous but they are very friendly and accommodating.

I’ve always walked by this place but never really when inside. It less lunch break & I was hungry and wanted some Mexican food and decided to try this place. To my surprise is a full bar which I found very interesting But of course I was on lunch break and not allow to drink during business hours. I continue with my order I sat at bar asked for Pollo loco which they didn’t have I was disappointed but decided to try something different. I ordered Pollo el pastor and I have no regret the food was absolutely delicious . The place can take some upgrade and but other than that I have no complaints about food and staff.

This review is for the owner… I hope they read it. You have a cool place, your food is good, you have a cool bar tender, but your place is always empty. Why? Your prices are too high for the kind of place you have. You want to be high end? That’s cool, but the competition in that space is high, and you need to upgrade, redecorate, change the menu, and hire an upscale staff. OR… …you could take what you already do and double down as a value offering. You could be packed all the time because you offer great prices. And you’d sell more at the bar too. I know you’re a family owned place, and I know you’re figuring it out. But you’re charging too much for too little, and that’s why you’re ALWAYS empty. So spend some money and upgrade or cut you’re prices, and be packed all the time. Why do I care? I want you to stay open, if you have thee people at 830 on a Saturday night you’re not gonna make it.

Carne asada fries are«good». BUT, they are not amazing enough to come from culver city every time to get them. Still nothing like San Diego Mexican food but a good Mexican restaurant for LA. Pros: Great customer service Good carne asada fries Good hot sauce Clean restaurant Cons: Sketchy area Food isn’t worth the trip more than once Hard to find parking Overall I would recommend this place because the food was satisfying; however, it just wasn’t anything to brag about.

The food wasn’t terribly memorable, but the staff was because they were so nice and helpful, so in my book that is A-OK with me. I tried the enchilada which was so-so. The veggie tacos were actually pretty great. I will pass next time on the side of rice and beans. My friend ordered a strawberry margarita and cheesy tater tots and it looked to die for. I hear their carne asada is what keeps people coming back but I’m a vegetarian so I couldn’t tell you much more than that. It’s not the fanciest joint but it has a good happy hour, the staff is great, and it’s located near a lot of neat places like The Last Book Store and other bars and cafes.

I ordered the carne asada taco salad and a margarita. I was hesitant about the taco salad at first because what I really wanted was ground beef, but that wasn’t an option. My server assured me that I couldn’t go wrong with the carne asada. I reluctantly ordered. Ten minutes later I’m chowing down on the best taco salad I’ve had in my life. It came in a crispy taco bowel. The meat was so tender and juicy. Guac, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, refried beans, sour cream, salsa, and some unknown mushy stuff at the bottom that was so delicious I didn’t even care what it was. Oh and the margarita, that was good too.
