Best asada fries I’ve tried thus far! Extra onions and cilantro and lemon adds more flavor!

The pastor, asada, and carnitas are always good. I have had every type of taco they offer and have never been unhappy. I will continue to choose Danny’s as a quick and tasty(yet not very healthy) late night meal. Seriously great tacos.

The wait time was a little longer than I’m used to for a taco truck, especially given that there was only two orders ahead of us. There were plastic stools set-up, so that was thoughtful. The California burrito my boyfriend ordered(he said) was delicious, however my lengua burrito was overwhelmingly salty. I’m not entirely sure what happened there, but I wasn’t able to finish it. I forced myself to make it halfway until the salt content finally felt like it was eating through my lips. Traumatized much.

This food is bangin! Went around 11 and couldn’t stop eating. Tacos were really good with good salsa choices and carnita quesadilla was amazing!, food was hot too. I wanna go back asap.

I ordered an al pastor taco and couldn’t recognize it. Horrible. I can’t believe that this is what passes for a taco. Also ordered bacon wrapped hot dog and it was like warm. Can’t believe this place was 4 stars.

Always cold and incorrect I’ve order their food a few times from grub hub. The food is ALWAYS cold, not even warm or room temperature just flat COLD. 90% of the time the order is wrong or the forgot something and they just make excuses saying it is grub hubs fault and that they will not fix it. Trust me it’s NOT worth it!!!

My order: Two shrimp tacos and a California burrito. My expectations: A flavorful collection of surf and turf. My experience: lots of lettuce and no hint of flavor. I will always assume the meat isn’t top quality, but this shit needs flavoring. Add salsa that doesn’t taste burnt like the shrimp was. I understand that some people like this in their salsa, so that isn’t part of my complaint. BUTWTFWITHTHISLETTUCE its just fluff. the burrito is all air. At $ 9 its not even that cheap for a burrito. I’d rather risk ebola at Chipotle where at least I can walk away full.

Late night eatery! you come out of a kings, lakers, or a random show from staples(clippers suck) and your tired of spending for $ 15 beer and $ 20 nachos. This is the joint you come too. Hand made tortillas, good meat, salsas on point and right next to the staples center. Honestly best place to munch for reasonable price.

First red flag — no letter(A, B, etc) in the window. My friend ordered 5 tacos: 2 al pastor, 1 carne asada, 1 chorizo and 1 shrimp. At first she loved the taste, but as soon as we got in the car she immediately felt sick! We had to pull over on the way home for her to throw up… She’s now lying in my bed after taking some pepto bismol and ginger ale. Personally, I ordered the asada fries($ 9… They charge an extra $ 1 for card transactions) and they were a bit greasy and just not great; had to throw them out just to be on the safe side. Wouldn’t order it again. I would advise to stay away.

Quick, easy, and tasty Mexican food truck outside the LA Live movie theatres and short lines. My husband didn’t eat before coming to the movies and compared to the pizza and burger place he chose this place to eat. At first it was sketchy looking with a B grade inspection and cash only. My husband ordered the al pastor burrito but I wanted him to order the California burrito(I just didn’t have cash). The al pastor was really good! It was full of flavor and had less meat than I had hoped and the burrito itself was significantly smaller than a chipotle burrito but the satisfaction was there because the meat was tender and beans and rice were flavored well. It gets 4 thumbs up for being the fastest food available and the convenience of good Mexican food before you catch the movie. My only suggestion is to have a 20 dollar bill with you because you don’t wanna use a random sketchy ATM machine in front of the truck. The burrito was 5 bucks and you will want to try other things.

Friend and I were at Club Nokia for a show(RAC! Filous! :D), and left at 2am, feeling hungry. So, we Unilocaled some nearby food that would be open at this time of the night and found Danny’s Tacos, a little taco truck across the street of one end of LA Live. We both got burritos. I got a veggie one and he got a beef one. Honestly, they were both pretty bland. Even the sauces/salsas that were available didn’t help much. They added spice, but were still pretty flavorless. I think the main reason they get business is because they are open so late and they are at a prime location for hungry concert go-ers like my friend and myself. It was about $ 8 for an average size burrito, definitely over-priced for a flavorless thing. I mean, it fills you up when you’re hungry but that’s about it. Also, the employees don’t speak much English. I’d say it’s worth a drive to go somewhere else for your early AM munchies.

Go here if you want an $ 8 tasteless Burrito. I think service could have been better. Not much else to say except I’ve experienced better.

I always go for their chicken tacos. Handmade tortiyas are unparalleled. Red salsa goes without saying. If you need a quick fix and don’t have much time, try them for sure. $ 2 a taco. Cuban sandwich isn’t all that. Also try their Olympic & Georgia station, located north of the movie theatre. Tell ‘em Steve sent ya. Se habla espanyol.

This is what a food truck should be. It is simple, tasty food, that is super affordable and fairly quick. They offer a plethora of meat options for your tacos. I tend to go with the asada or the chorizo myself, but there are several other options as well. You get a lot of meat for your money and it tastes very good. They have salsas, onions and such for you to add. That being said, they are pretty darn good without any of that. Of course they offer other foods besides tacos. Some day I will have to try their carne asada fries, chili cheese fries or California style burrito. The truck is now parked in the lot behind the Shell station, on the side facing Grand.

Street tacos with delicious homemade tortillas. Sauces are good, ranging from mild to extra spicy for us spicy lovers. Doesn’t compare to my favorite Mexican spot ever, Mexicali, so I’m giving it a 3 — A — OK! Easy to grab when you’re coming home after a night of drinking and need some greasy food to sober up and PTFO.

Great for post-party munchies. Ok, but kind of overpriced tacos + other foods.(But there isn’t much else around is there late at night?) I really enjoyed the cabeza tacos, they were delicious as well as the pollo torta! Has beans in it though! There are also beans in the carne asada fries if you’re not a fan of beans. All the food was pretty pricey though, $ 14 for one torta and four tacos? And $ 9 for carne asada fries. They have little plastic stools you can sit on, but there was this odd smell that stuck with me right in front of the truck that made my food taste like it smelled a little bit. One of my friends described it was wet dog smell. Right after receiving my food, the truck’s power went out and the workers had to run out and unplug the smoking cord from power source! One of the workers exclaimed, «Sorry, no more food tonight!» and we all had to ask if we would get a refund or not after like 5 – 10 more minutes of watching them run around. Were kind of annoyed that he didn’t offer us a refund at all and only tried to give it to us after we asked. Ended up not getting a refund because«our food was done’ but we had to wait 10 minutes for it to come out even though there was no power? Eventually everyone got their food. One of the worker guys(the younger one) was extremely nice about everything. Overall, ok meal for post party munchies. Will probably try a different place next time though.

Happy beyond belief this place is open at 3am. Best decision ever. Quesadillas are bomb. More than enough for sharing. Best food post bar hopping to hit the spot. Green sauce is a must. Having DT withdrawals already ~

It saddens me that an authentic taco truck like this is in such a hipster shit-hole part of town, but I guess I can’t complain when I’m in the area and in need of authentic mexican food. I never quite get how a taco truck can operate on a parking lot, I don’t know if they pay people off or what, but it’s good that they do. I’ve been here a couple of times and this place never disappoints. My last time, however, it seems like the lady taking my order must have been high or drunk or bad at listening to people. I asked for two tortas. One of carne asada and another one of shrimp. Guess what I got? A surf n turf torta with shrimp and carne asada. Although it was delicious, the carne asada over-powered the shrimp and I couldn’t really enjoy the shrimp as much. To make matter worse, a friend ordered a burrito and asked for no beans. And you guessed it. There were beans inside the burrito. I know this isn’t a restaurant or anything like that, but 2 screw ups in one night? If there were another delicious taco truck around I’d think twice about revisiting this place. But it’s too damn delicious.

Wow, it’s been awhile since my first review. I woke up a bit early today to get gas at the Shell on Olympic and Grand, and I actually saw Danny for the first time in 2 years. I yelled, «DANNNY!!!», and he got out of his truck and was like, «HEYDUDE! LONGTIME» I said, «Yo, you are SO big time now??? I haven’t even seen you forever man! Just your cousin! One of my friends actually tried to recommend your truck to me… I was like. yeah I know Danny’s with fresh tortillas, in downtown right?, and then they were like, no. in Santa Monica have 2 truck on Ocean… Danny, you are big time now?» «Yeah Dave, 6 trucks now… ALLTHANKSTOYOU» (I have to admit, I blushed, even though it wasn’t true and even through I wrlote this guy a great review back when I was Unilocal Elite when that meant something and made his site and stuff) He continued, «Hey dude, I’m opening up a restaurant now!» I was like. «What? Forreals? Where? What’s it called?» He said, a slight smirk on his face, «Danny’s Tacos» I replied, «Verdaderos»(The truth, and his slogan) «Between 7th and 8th»(I think he said). So check it out guys. Also btw, they deliver now through GrubHub.

Yummy taco spot close to home. I think they have multiple trucks/locations. The tacos are delicious here! It’s different than the other locations. Tacos come with one nice thick corn tortilla rather than the usual two thin ones. Although it rips if you put too much sauce, it’s delicious! I usually get the carne asada or al pastor. Both is equally delicious. Well, al pastor might be a little better. They also have California Burrito! Condiments: They usually have a tub of radish, onion/cilantro, and lime in front of the truck. They have 3 different hot sauces: green, red, and guacamole. The red sauce is extremely spicy but BOMB! I warned ya. Parking: You can park in the lot the truck is located in. I usually just ask the attendants and they direct me to the 15 min reserved spot.
