The tacos are good. The fried chicken and the bison especially. But you have to spend a good chunk of change here to satisfy your appetite. For a taco joint, ultimately too rich for my blood.

I can honestly and proudly say that I am a Diablo regular now, having been to this restaurant on the regular over the past few years at the very least several times a month. I will make this review as short and to the point as possible. Not only is the food delicious(my current favorites are the rock fish tacos and the maple fried chicken) but the atmosphere at Diablo is just an incredible bonus– especially before, during(if I’m not at Chavez Ravine), and after Dodger games as it is literally minutes away from the stadium. Happy hour is incredible– BUT, not as incredible as Diablo’s micheladas. These are concocted by ordering a glass of your favorite beer– I order the good old fashioned PBR. This is an average beer, however, with the«Diablo Pop» — their Popsicle that turns your beer into a sensational Michelada while keeping your beer frosty cold is GENIUS and AMAZING! I want to thank Diablo for all the great memories that my friends and I have had over the years at your restaurant. I am pretty unbiased in my reviews and I literally can’t think of any negatives. Keep doing what you’re doing Diablo and I’ll continue keep Diablo as my number one go to spot! Love it! Peace, Love, Unity and Respect, JLD

Awesome pork belly tacos! Bison taco was bomb tooo. Parking is kind of tough but plenty of meter spots around. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Naked homeless peeing outside, ambulance inside helping a drunken man, roaches crawling on the wall and the food toke forever, the pork Belly tacos was all fat, the sangria was bitter, the micheladas is just beer and salt

This is a solid place to visit. It meshes LA scene pretty well. It’s part Hipster, Mexican, and Dodger fan rolled in one. They have craft beer and Mexican beer. They have crafted tacos which you can order different ones. They have a burrito which you can choose proteins. The cool thing is the ice pops. They have michelada flavored that comes with a beer. You put it in glass and fill with beer. As you drink it the pop melts and changes the profile of the drink. It’s really cool! Did I mention that they play the Dodger game?! Oh and they even have board games(hipster characteristic haha) Must try when in LA Silverlake area.

OHMYGOODNESS! This place was referred to us by a friend. We were super hungry and she suggested that we try this place. She indicated that they have gourmet tacos and she was right. The ambiance of this place was on point! It was very relaxed/chill with a hint of modern goth. It reminded me of dia de los muertos a bit. They have a good selection of alcohol and delicious beers on tap. Words cannot describe the taste of my food. I was literally saying, «Mmmm» with every single bite until there was nothing on my place. I seriously would have gone back for dinner and again the next day for breakfast. I feel the need to go back to try the other menu items. All of the food that we ordered was too good I thought I was in heaven. I am not ever exaggerating. If you are in the area, it is a MUSTTRY!

Diablo was just okay. I have really high expectations but it didn’t quite live up. It’s like all the ingredients were there but it didn’t quite live up! I have the maple fried chicken taco. It had a kale slaw on it and red rooster vinaigrette. The flavor a were there but my food wasn’t hot and the chicken was fried too hard, over cooked. I also had the elote which I wasn’t fond of; and I’ve had it at many restaurants. Finally the chipotle Caesar salad. This was actually the best thing I had; dressing and the crispy shell bowl the salad came in were super tasty. I know that taco would have been amazing if done correctly! For that, I can only give 3 stars but catch them on a different day and I think that could have easily been 4.

This place is awesome, I especially always make it a tradition to have a drink and some appetizers before a Dodgers game as the stadium is not too far away. I love the concept of a Popsicle served with an ice cold beer. The popsicle is then submerged or dipped into the beer(however you prefer) and it makes a spicy/flavorful concoction. There are a few options to choose from: Spicy Tomato, Jalapeño Pepper, and Mango. Last time, I also had their elote which was delicious and tasty! This place is not your authentic Mexican spot, and definitely has a more trendy, hipster feel to it. The bar has that rustic, wooden feel to it. It’s a cool place to hang and grab a quick drink/snacks with friends.

The place was alright. For the cost of food you would expect more flavor. Still was hungry after our meal. The beer selection is good, but I can’t understand why they would call an ice cream bar«paleta» a michelada drink. And why is it that hipsters feel the need to stare at local people who don’t fit their style? Here’s a tip. Get that douchebag face off your face. You don’t want it to stay like that forever

I love tacos. And I love games. And I was super excited to try to this place. But I was underwhelmed. I felt like it was overpriced and I was still hungry. I liked the inside and the set up, tvs. But the games I chose were missing pieces(sad face) We got brunch + corn + fish taco + maple fried chicken taco. Then we left starving and went to La Playita Siete Mares for authentic delicious fish tacos.

What a fun restaurant to come to! Although the parking lot is small the actual restaurant is a good size and full of energy. Once you enter the wood double doors your are surrounded by chalk board colors of a menu. When seated you are able to play board games, watch television on one of the many TVs and enjoy the meal in front of you. The food is great. Loved the tacos and nachos, they give healthy size portions here. The drinks are great as well. This is a chill spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a good meal.

$ 10 bucks for a beer and a frozen pop… I’ll pass next time. It’s defiantly not a michelada by any means. I will say its a nice twist to an actual michealda but the frozen tomato and spices should probably be a little bigger. The tacos look yummy maybe ill try some food next time and that will improve the rating.

I expected a taco joint on the east side to be busy any night of the week. Learned that is not the case. You can go to Diablo’s on a Tuesday and have 80% of the restaurant to yourself. If you want to watch tv, you practically have 3 to yourself. Carnitas tacos were AMAZING. Generous with the meat and guac. The Mexican Rice & side of Bacon Beans however were not very good. Rice tasted old and neither were even warm… proving that they were not freshly cooked to order. Overall the meal was way overpriced for what you actually got. Not a great date night spot unless you want bright-ish lights and tv screens everywhere as you want to connect with someone. They do have wifi though, and plenty of open seating, so this could be a viable option for travelers looking to get some work done. And since I“m one of those travelers I will probably be back, even if it’s just for one carnitas taco and a place to get some work done.

Tacos are good, my fave are the buttermilk fried chicken w/kale and the grilled sweet corn. Micheladas and popsicles are great too… Also, they have several board games to play with. Love this place.

Diablo’s was literally like the rating says«A-OK.» To begin with, one of the main reasons I came here for lunch with my classmates was for the michelada with the popsicle. Even though I do not like beer, this was a pretty tasty michelada and the popsicle definitely gave it an extra pinch of sweetness which was great. I really liked the michelada and IF I go back, it would probably be just for that. As for the food, the portions were small(especially for hungry people). The food was not too bad, just over priced for two tacos and the portions were really tiny. Each person spent around 20 – 30 $, however, not everyone left satisfied. We also ordered nachos after our tacos, and all of us were still hungry. That is not a really good sign when customers leave hungry after eating 2 tacos, nachos, and drinking beer. This place is pretty trendy, but I would have loved to enjoy some delicious and juicy tacos, instead we got regular tacos that could have been made at home.

A Mexican-fusion gastropub? Yes, please! I’m a big fan of the food here – lots of vegetarian options, from the bowls of nachos to the brussel sprouts tacos. Lots of beers on draft as well, and the way they do micheladas is also pretty special. Will definitely return again soon!

2.5 stars — Average taco. The names, the ingredients, the price. all above average. But when it all came together. it was just an average taco. I tried the fried chicken, the fish, and the slow cooked pork tacos. none of them really stood out. The bang, the zest, the pop — just wasn’t there. The size was a bit small for the amount they charged. The Michelada beer popsicles– meh. It was a try-once-and-done sort of affair.

This place was alright. I definitely would never eat there again. Maybe just drinks. MAYBE. The michelada with the popsicle is what attracted me there. I ordered the chicken tacos which were the hit on Unilocal and fish one. The food was OK. It was probably the worst artisanal tacos I’ve ever had. Nothing special, expensive, and tiny. The drink was not as good as it looked. The popsicle was not as flavorful as I expected it to be. Our food was not piping hot contrary to the fact that it was during lunch and the place was pretty empty. We ordered an order of nachos for the table because we were still hungry after the girls got 2 tacos each and the guys got 3. The tacos were whatever, nothing exciting and once again were tiny. The waitress was VERYNICE so I left with a sense of semi-satisfaction. Everyone was still hungry when we left and we each spent around $ 20 – 30 per person for lunch.

This have to have been the quickest visit I’ve made to a restaurant in a while. Going in and leaving in under half an hour. This was due to having to get back to my area so I’m only going off the Michelada and two tacos I tried. The tacos were pretty good. The grilled asada was stuffed with steak meat and it taste fresh. When it comes to flavor, the ground bison chili topped the grilled asada. I was actually quite impressed with its flavor as the bison chili is the cheapest in cost of all the tacos on the list and is a lot smaller than the other I ordered. For the Michelada, I really like the concept of the popsicle to drop in the beer. The popsicle didn’t melt fast enough so I began biting into it while taking gulps of beer. I was perfectly fine with this because the michelada popsicle taste delicious and it kept the beer cold. My only gripe which was my own doing was my choice of beer. Victoria isn’t a good mix with the michelada for me and it wasn’t until after I ordered that I realized they had Modelo. I love a nice cold michelada mixed with modelo so I know it’ll be awesome on my next visit. This is my first impression on my quick run in and run out. I’m most definitely paying another visit and will be staying longer next round. The tacos are quite interesting in description so I’m looking forward to making my way through the list and updating my review. Dinner 8÷30÷2015

Summer Time… Calls for beer Popsicles! This place has been bookmarked for the past 2 years on Unilocal!I finally drove from the valley to silver lake to give it a try! When you first enter you have to order at the bar and its self seating. They will bring your food out to you. Food:(4 out of 5) It’s not really authentic Mexican tacos. More like trendy hipster tacos. We had all FOUR flavor tacos! The shrimp/mango fusion taco was good and it was very tropical! The barbacoa was okay. By, okay the meat needed more flavor. The pork belly taco, is good of you like fried pork belly. It’s all fatty meat or I can say lard?! The carne Asada was really good! Drinks:(5 out of 5) Summer calls for Popsicles! I love the idea of cold beer! They have a great selection of draft and imported beer. The Popsicles may be added to any beer you wish for! I had the watermelon ginger Popsicle with watermelon beer and it was really good. The michelada Popsicle — idea is good but, you have to wait for it to melt in order to be an actual michelada! Still a really clever idea and concept. Parking:(3 out of 5) Parking structure is really small it may fit about 7 cars. You’re lucky if you find a parking spot or you may try to find a parking on hipsterville street parking. Customer Service:(4 out of 5) Good. It was okay? Not much interaction. Since you order at the bar and busboy brings the food out to you. I would come back with friends! If they needed to check it out for themselves! :)
