I think they are as good as cirque du soleil. I saw them last year in Ohio and they put on a spectacular show. I am a fan!!!

This ‘theatre’ is located in a back warehouse type neighborhood, and is really more of a glorified section of the larger Brewery Arts Complex with a large dance stage than an actual theatre. I came here for one of Diavolo’s few hometown performances, as they are predominantly a touring dance company. This particular show featured pieces from the core dancers(a small company of ~10 dancers) plus a finale piece from a talented and motley/unaffiliated crew of individual dancers who traveled to LA expressly for the purpose of taking a week-long intensive masters class, of which the culmination was a performance of whatever they had learned and put together over the course of the class. The performances were not perfect, but they were unique and innovative for the most part. The company and the guest dancers were a lot like the theatre they danced in — raw and a bit unpolished, but possessing a simple sort of beauty and passion for their art that drew the audience in. It was refreshing to witness this in a town whose many actors and dancers and other art-types often hone their craft for the purpose of making it big/getting discovered instead of for their love of the craft itself. Diavolo’s show appeared to be mainly a friends-and-family sort of crowd — I hope that they can draw a larger crowd of dance-enthusiasts in the future!
