I’m giving this rating based on the pricing structure. Coffee itself is okay, but nothing special. Certainly nothing special enough to warrant the inflated prices. For the record, 4.50 for a latte, 3.00 for espresso or 4.75 for iced tea is astronomical. I think this listing’s price rating should be raised to at least ‘moderate’ of not ‘pricey’ considering that this is not considered ‘inexpensive’ in coffee world. That is coming from a barista.

I don’t like coffee that much, but I like DRIP a lot. One of the baristas, Sharon, is always nice and has a smile on. I’ve met the owners, and they are on point with their customer service and the presentation of their coffee. I like the espresso pop — both the root beer and vanilla cream are great. Ambiance is pretty awesome. Art everywhere. The chairs are really cool, too. Artistically-painted wooden benches and chairs fill the room, so take your pick. Overall, very chill atmosphere and great coffee. Perfect for studying, catching up with friends, and getting those creative juices flowing.

I’ll bring it down like this: 4 stars for using quality beans!(Handsome Coffee) 4 stars for clean tables and chairs, nice quiet café 3 stars for lack of food items All in all, this is an ideal study location. Free parking in K-town…really, you can’t beat that.

Great place to study and have tea time with your girlfriend… if there’s room. The minute I entered the café, for a moment I thought it was a library. Almost all the customers here have their laptops set up and are studying away. PROOF: You can’t blame them for overstaying: I’d live here too if I were a college student. INTERIOR: The inside is nice. It’s decorated with art by various artists, cool rope lights, and the happiest yet also saddest tree placed in the middle. The tree is naked with its branches cut off. Poor guy. Mr. Amputated. But at least he gets to chill in a cute little café 24⁄7. DRINKS+GOODIES: Because there was no room to sit, my buddy and I didn’t get to experience any of their goodies. We just ordered some drinks to-go. I ordered jasmine tea. It was good. Pretty basic stuff. I’d come here for the interior and a place to study than anything else. PARKING: Free parking! Shared private lot with Assi Market. ***IMPORTANTNOTE*** If it’s your first time coming to this café, you might have a hard time finding it. It’s located above Assi Market, INSIDE the building. Take the elevator or escalator to the second floor. Make a right. Walk straight and on your right with be the Drip Café.

located on the 2nd floor above the assi market in the assi market plaza. i liked my latte. it had a chocolately essence and had a sweet aftertaste. the americano was a tad watered-down tasting. but i think it’s because i’m used to starbucks. the space is cute and was packed when i went.

If I ever owned a Coffee Shop? it would look like this. The design is esthetically GORGEOUS!!! DRIP — cool name, simple & clean The owner should be proud. It looks like a Museum, so serene and peaceful inside. This place is so pretty, I’m Jelly!!! I found it in the LA Weekly — checked out the reviews on Unilocal, and decided too check it out. It’s located in Korea-town, don’t be turned off by the location, or the building itself. The Coffee is soooo darn good!!! I had the Café latte which was by far the best Eva! The service was amazing, free Wifi, cool setting & vibe. Plus a portion of the art sales is donated to Charity. Check this place out. It truly is a hidden GEM.

Handsome coffee is sold here but I am actually not sure if they use it here. Either way, their iced americano is a top contender in the city when it comes to a good cup of joe. The real greatness of DRIP is that it offers everything else you also look for. — FREE and plenty of parking in a private lot — free WiFi — TONS of creatively decorated outlets — comfy seating and the space itself is so rad it feels like it should be down in the Arts District. — staff that is actually friendly and gives a shit And don’t forget to take a gander at the larger than life chocolate covered biscotti. PS, if you were wondering, yes it is tasty. Last but not least, watch out for the mall horses.

In most ways, living in San Francisco for the last three years has made me a better person(or, so I think). But in many ways, it’s completely ruined me as well. Case in point, DRIP. Upon arriving in this here City of Angels, I was bound and determined to spend my couple of free hours in a café with my laptop and a nice cup of caffeine. But of course, my innate snobbery couldn’t settle for a Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, so DRIP it was. I mean, I actually seeked out a cup of Joe that’d be at least a 100% mark up on a standard 16 ounce pour of java because it just seems to be what I do these days, and I’m completely OK with that. And how was that $ 3.50 drip coffee, you ask? Fantastic. Nicely balanced, not to acidic, and prepared in the pour over fashion that seems to be the only way to roll in my neck of the woods. For a moment, besides the odd location of this café on the second floor of a Korean bodega, it was as if I’d never left my little City by the Bay. In addition to the great roasted beans, they bolster a fantastic room friendly to Apple slaves as well. Plenty of comfortable seating, free wi-fi, copious amounts of power outlets, and a friendly attitude to those sucking up gratis internet access for hours on end. Just about the perfect recipe for a Ruggeford H. Joesten III approved office away from the office.

Hmmm we may have a new favorite study spot! Here are my criteria for good study spots: (1) Free Wifi? Check! (2) Caffeine? Check! Omg I love Tea Lattes. They are my faaaaavorite. If you are on this boat with me, order the WHISPYBLACK($ 4 – 5?). It’s a black tea latte that’s unsweetened(woot) and has a great tea flavor. Yum yum yum. Their green tea latte($ 4.50) is just OK. I just don’t like how green tea lattes use sweetened matcha powder: P. (3) Lots of seats and outlets? mmm. They have a decent number of seats. On this Friday afternoon, this place is only ¼ full. There are also plenty of plugs. Good study environment. (4) Food? They have pastries. And you’re in Koreatown. So, I’m gonna go with CHECK. (5) Parking? Major check! They have a FREEPARKINGLOT. Yup, doesn’t get much better than that [They also get points for a quiet working environment with beautiful aesthetics :)]

This K-town coffee shop has just about everything going for it: It’s delicious. It’s spacious. It’s studious. And it’s pretty… Like, REALLY pretty. I’m sure the other coffee shops are jealous(shoot, I kind of am). Everything is high quality too. I had a silky hazelnut latte and a butter croissant for about $ 7 total; Both perfect. Customer service is wonderful and with free WiFi aaaaand free parking, I’m smitten! There’s a huge parking lot, being that it’s located in the Assi Shopping Plaza. And with plenty of tables and mellow music, it’s easy for working or studying. My hinie even gives their super comfortable seats it’s stamp of approval! I def plan on seeing more of this place… we just need to work on getting Drip to stay open later…

I love the quality, service, décor and vibe of this place. Artsy and Creative! As Sharon P mentioned, I also do not like the quality of Ktown coffee shop coffee(exception of Bourbon St Café!). Its too bad its upstairs at Assi Plaza. The mall is always empty without any foot traffic. I wish this place had windows, more powerplugs, longer business hours(10am-8pm is very inconvenient. Cant work before work or after work!), stronger wifi signals and bathroom inside the café. Coffee is good however Soy Green tea latte is pricier than other places and not superior. Affogato, I had better ones at Bourbon, Gelaco & Iota. It was first time barely touched it after first scoop. I dont know what it was… it didnt look too appetizing with mini scoops of icecream floating in the cup.

I went along for the opening and was infected by the positive and friendly service and in awe of the chemistry in action with the siphon coffee. Everything was great — I hope that people can find this place because the location does require an extra effort to reach, but hopefully it will capture a loyal bunch of customers… or just curious customers of the mall Drip is located in. I’ll have to go back to see the space with tables and chairs and admire the artwork when it’s not launch night. Keep up the good work ladies. And a special mention for the band — Monsters Calling Home — they were a great surprise. Never seen a banjo and a violin in a band before! That was pretty much the coolest thing of the evening apart from the siphon coffee chemistry!
