I was a walk-in to have a vintage watch band resized, and I knew it was going to be a bit of a process as the watch band did not have traditionally removable links. They did it quickly and well, and were very kind.

Paula and Andre are one of a kind wonderful people. We brought in our wedding rings which my husband hadn’t worn for three years. They resized and cleaned them so well that they looked absolutely brand new and the price was extremely reasonable. I would leave 100 stars it was an option! Please support your local businesses and take your jewelry here!

I’ve been coming to Drucker’s for quite awhile now. Not only have they fixed 6 of my broken watches, 1 bracelet, 2 necklaces and 2 rings, but they also have created entirely new rings and necklaces out of what I gave them! The service is great and welcoming.

We took our wedding rings here to have them engraved for our 1st wedding anniversary. They did a great job and I was thrilled with the results… until I noticed that I had them engrave the incorrect date. UGH! I was so upset with myself. Drucker’s was very kind and compassionate. They were able to quickly correct my error and engrave the correct date, and have the rings back to me in a few days. I highly recommend Drucker’s Jewelry Shoppe.

This place is pretty cool if you’re into vintage jewelry. They dont have a lot, but, all the pieces really count. Shes got a good eye. I cant speak for anything else other than that, as I’ve only bought one item from them. However, they were completed with it on schedule. Only thing is, I would not plan on getting there when they open, i suggest getting there an hour after. They seem to be pretty loosey goosey on business hours, which… is cool… but, could be frustrating if you were in a rush or something. Also, prices are AWEsome. Not sure how they stay open in that trendy ass area… perhaps rent control.

So far I’ve used Drucker’s four times for my jewelry repair needs and I’m not stopping. From replacing watch batteries to fixing jewelry, Paula and Andre have done a great job at a reasonable price. I especially love supporting a local business in Los Feliz that has been there forever.

We were given a family heirloom as our engagement ring and were hesitant to leave it anywhere in L.A. for a cleaning, light repair and estimate. But, a dear friend of ours suggested Druckers and told us that she trusts them with all of her repair needs. So, we met with them and decided that they were the right people for the job… and we were right! The ring came back looking brand new! We even had them restring an antique pearl necklace fitted to my fiancees neck and WOW! STUNNING work! Happy to know that there is a jeweler you can trust with your most cherished pieces.

Went to a jewelry store down the street and got referred here to resize my engagement & wedding bands. Liked the quality of the work and the prices so much($ 100 for cleaning, enlarging, stone re-setting for 2 rings — in one week!) we had them make a custom white gold band for my fiancé. They talked him through all the choices and he has a ring that fits him and feels comfortable. Super nice, really pleasant, great stories of fun things to repair and snuggly elderly kittycats. Yeah the store’s a bit cramped and oldschool, but it’s got great cool clocks and service can’t be beat.

I love Los Feliz because of its golden age glamour and it’s untold secrets. When you enter through the doors of this gem shop, you enter into a world where for 60 years eastsiders, opera singers, debutantes, and movie stars have come for custom made pieces, heirloom gems, or jeweled watches and clocks. The allure of their wares is unmatcjed. Paula & Andre helped me find the biggest find — my engagement ring. A sapphire we will have forever which they also exquisitely engraved. Thank you both eternally, I’ll be back soon.

I just got married in August and am using a family heirloom ring as my wedding band. It is a very thin gold band that has been worn for decades before, making it fragile, and has an engraving along the inside of a date and initials. It fit a little more snugly than I’d like, but I’d been putting off getting it sized because I was concerned about getting it done well. I actually originally took the ring to another spot in my neighborhood to see whether the resizing could even be done, and they told me I had to go to Drucker’s. I was surprised to have a jewelry store turn away business but soon saw why — Andre and Paula are true artisans who not only sized my ring perfectly, but went over the engraving so that it is clearer and easier to read. They also polished it up so it shines beautifully. It looks as though it were made yesterday. They totally understood the importance of the piece to me and did a wonderful job, and bent over backwards to be sure I got it back in time and for a good price. I’d trust them with any piece, and recommend them to anyone. The jewelry for sale in their shop is beautiful, too, and handmade by Andre, who was trained in Turkey before he married Paula and took over her father’s store with her. Drucker’s has been open since 1953 — check it out and experience their very personal touch for yourself!

They did an amazing job at putting just the right weight safety chain on a gold bracelet that my grandma gave me. I see them for any jewelry fix it issues.

Astonishing that anyone could write a positive review. We also had an antique French clock, purchased 19 years ago. It stopped working within a matter of weeks, so we called on Paula to repair it. 18 years later, after claiming it was almost done for almost two decades, they finally brought our clock works over, and the clock was running. The bill was $ 3800, which I refused to pay. After 18 years, any reputable business would have charged us a token fee or nothing at all. So they took the works back, and stole the hands that had been on the clock since day one. Paula claimed she only had the clock for six years — a lie, but still, 6 years? Even by her estimation, this was ridiculous. Forget the one star I had to select to post this. It should be zero. They are liars, cheats and thieves and I can’t warn you strongly enough — believe the worst and stay away.

I have used Drucker’s FORYEARS and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get around to writing a review. Among the MANY items that Paula and Andre have repaired, was an antique French clock, which was an heirloom(from my father, who could never find someone to repair it so that it worked!). They did an awesome job-and yes it was not done in a matter of weeks, but no matter, parts had to be ordered, etc and now 6 years later the clock still runs! I’ve also had watches repaired-and I don’t mean just batteries, although they do that as well and Paula was very helpful when it came to giving me valuations for some of my jewels.(I was surprised to find not all were as ‘precious’ as I had thought, at least not monetarily, but…). Paula IS a perfectionist, so you might have to wait a bit longer than if you take items for repair to someone who is not, but i can’t say enough good things.

I ended up here quite by accident. I was getting married in a month, and wedding rings were on the list of tasks we hadn’t yet completed, but also hadn’t thought about. However, walking down Vermont I noticed Druckers, and figured I’d stop in. The place is old, and feels it. Lots of vintage jewelry and clocks adorn the walls, and little effort has been put to making it modern and customer-friendly. For some this is a red flag(see other reviews on this thread), but I am the opposite. When the shop-keeper emerged, it was clear he was not a salesman at all. In fact he was the ringmaker. We talked a bit about price, and then I told him I’d come back with my fiancée. That was when I read the Unilocal reviews, which gave me pause. Some customers have had major delays with getting their orders, and«business hours» seem to be a loose concept here. Another local spot, «Artisan LA,» which is right around the corner, had universally glowing reviews, so my fiancée and I went there first. We had a good experience there; the place is the opposite of Drucker’s in every way, but ultimately the price was a bit steep, so we went back to Drucker’s for comparison. This time the owner Paula was there as well, a kind, self-deprecating, maternal presence. We told them what we wanted and set about trying on a bunch of rings. I guess this was for sizing, but it seemed the most inefficient way to go about it, as it involved grabbing lots of random rings(which were not ordered by size) and trying them all on. However, in the end, we got it done, and their price was about 30% better than Artisan LA, so after getting multiple assurances we’d have our ring the following Saturday– we were still mindful of the other Unilocal reviews– we put down a deposit. The rings came a day early, and they were perfect. They grow more comfortable on our fingers every day. And our experience with Paula and Andre, who we thought were a married couple but I gather now that he’s just worked for her a long time, was very memorable. By the end of the process, I felt like they were our aunt and uncle. This is not the most business-like operation, but they do great work, they’re a quirky pair, and they have been in Los Feliz a long time. I personally find a lot of value in supporting an institution like this, so I recommend it to others who want a good deal and don’t mind a more offbeat shopping experience. One more thing: it’s not appointment only, but I’d highly recommend calling ahead to make sure they’re in! :)

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years. Paula and Andre are just amazing. They always do a fantastic job and their prices are so reasonable, especially for the quality work they do. I do have to say I would love to see what a little remodel would look like. The space is great!

Excellent customer service, and quite a conversationalist! I had just been shamed by another jeweler down the street, who would not deign to size my finger without first buying a ring. Embarrassed and angry, I walked a little further and came to Drucker’s. He sized my finger with no hesitation, and whilst we were finding the perfect fit, we also had quite a pleasant conversation about Armenian archaeology. I almost want to break some jewelry so I can have him fix it.

If you read the other reviews you’ll see I’m in like company – as in, we DISLIKE the INFERIOR service provided(or, lack thereof) by Drucker’s Jewelry shop. You certainly wouldn’t «shop» for anything in this dusty, filthy, disorganized heap of junk that’s not even good enough for a PAWNSHOP. My jewelry repair was botched, and took a lifetime to be done. Oh, and they’ve got a real attitude like they’re doing you a favor. And, they require lots of CASH. Something seems FISHY! GOTO «Wanna Buy A Watch» on Melrose for shopping and repairs.

They came highly recommended by both the LA Times and a friend of mine for jewelry repair and they did do a very good job for me. However, Druckers tends to open whenever Druckers feels like it. They are also slow. The final straw is the place is a mess with half-eaten food on the counter and old cardboard boxes stacked against the wall. Plus, the cases have less to nothing in them. Weird feeling… Next time I need jewelry repaired I’ll drive to Regency.

I have never, ever used Unilocal to say anything but positive things about local businesses, but this was an extreme case and I feel the need to warn potential customers. A while ago I went in to inquire about repairing A) a pair of sunglasses in which the screw holding one of the arms has fallen out(very simple repair) and B) a vintage handbag’s hardware, also missing one screw. I realize it may seem weird to have taken these items to a jewelry repair shop, but I assumed they had the small tools and screws to fix such things. They didn’t let on that this was out of the ordinary, or would be any trouble and I was told I could pick up the items 3 days later. I first went about 6 days after… items were not ready but I was told they would be later that day. I wasn’t able to return until three days later… still not ready. Another time I came during regular business hours, and Druckers was closed – without any sign or warning. Finally, I went in and was given the sunglasses, but was told to come back AGAIN for the bag. When I finally picked up the bag, I was given an invoice for $ 55! OUTRAGEOUS for such a cheap and easy repair, coupled with the fact that I had to come in out of my way sooo many times MUCH later then the time I was first quoted. When I questioned the price, I was spoken to rudely, without any flexibility for a compromise. I was forced to forfeit my handbag(which was very inexpensive anyway) just to avoid paying this ridiculous price. Really… two tiny screws? Never at any point was I made aware these were parts that«had to be ordered» and on top of all that, she scolded me for«coming in when the items weren’t ready» and«just dropping them off and running out». WHAT? I had been nothing but kind and patient as they dragged out the repair time over and over. Do NOT give these people your business! Surely there is another local shop more concerned with customer satisfaction and simple good businessmanship.
