The breakfast could have easily been replicated at home. And the exorbitant prices made me feel completely ripped off. Won’t be coming back here again.

I always like to support local family businesses which is why I decided to come here for a quick lunch. I ordered the stuffed pits with turkey(one of their popular items on the menu) but it was SO bland! Turkey was dry and bland. The only good thing about my meal were those amazing pickles that were the garnish on my plate! The orange juice was also fresh. VERY friendly and attentive service.

I rarely post reviews especially bad ones. I work in the food industry and realize some days are just bad days. Also I realize negative reviews are permanent on here so it’s important as consumers we are careful with what we post. With that being said, I have eaten at this restaurant several times now as it is located close to my apartment. Each time I go I am presented with mediocre food. I don’t mean that negatively, just that it isn’t bad but isn’t great… it just is. But when presented with my check I am paying a premium price every time. Today, I ate breakfast here with my girlfriend. We ordered standard plates, no drinks, but my bill came to $ 38.00 including a modest tip for a very mediocre breakfast. Perhaps their rent is high, or perhaps no one minds paying such eye-gouging prices because it is located in Brentwood Regardless, I feel other customers should know that they will be getting Denny’s quality food for double the price. It is unfortunate if it is LA’s ridiculous rent prices that force this place to over charge their customers. It is even more unfortunate if these inflated prices are derived from just plain greed. I sincerely hope that the staff are fairly compensated since their food cost must be around 10%. Buyer Beware– you can walk up the street to Noah’s Bagels and spend 12 $ for two people to eat and keep that extra 25 $ in your pocket. Hope this helps someone… Dana

I absolutely love Earlyworld! Every time I have never been disappointed with either the service or food! I have had both breakfast & lunch. Such a cute gem in Brentwood that no one should miss out on! It’s my go to place to take visitors if they’re staying with me for a perfect brunch. Yum!

Love it. Good, fresh ingredients. Eggs cooked in oil not butter and yet still delicious. I also love the funky, diner feel. Nothing else like it in Bremtwood. Waitresses Marci and Paula are a huge part of the charm. I can’t recommend it enough.

I have been a customer of the Early World restaurant for many years. I have never failed to find the food and the service outstanding. I think they have the best BLT in west LA. They are also excellent for breakfast. It always reminds me of an old fahioned upscale diner. They recently changed hours and close at 3:30pm and I miss them for a good, inexpensive dinner. With all the fancy restaurants on San Vicente Early World keeps its tasty and affordable standards intact. On top of all this it’s quiet and you can carry on a quiet kconversation. i

Unfortunately first thing I saw was a large roach in the bathroom so my review is tainted. Not much ambience but obviously a local hangout. The menu is expansive and breakfast is available until 4 pm. Parking is meter street parking. Service is friendly and non intrusive.

Charges $ 1 extra for coffee if you don’t order food and wasn’t told that until we received the check. Plus, the owner has the personality of an old shoe and said to go across the street if we just want coffee. I will never walk through those doors again. I’d give no stars if it were an option.

What took me so long? The sign outside looks classic diner, and yet in the yoga and juicing environs of Brentwood, EWR seems way out of place. Glad to be so wrong. Early World is awesome, and has much to offer. Omelets are great, pancakes and waffles, too. But they have more entrée options, too. I’m sure ONEDAY I’ll get around to those :) Seriously, very fresh ingredients help bridge the Old School diner vibe with today’s culinary sensibilities. Old School with a Twist. Plus, it’s such a chill environment, one could easily wile away for hours there with a book or a writing pad. I’ve got a crush on this place, I think. Service is friendly, relaxed and helpful. Love these folks. I’ve only been twice now, but I so look forward to returning. It may not have some of the flourishes and bakery goods of a Cora Tree Inn, but it’s a big World out there on San Vicente. May there always be an available leather booth at Early World.

I don’t know how somebody can eat at this place the condiments are kept in old bottles I order the hamburger that tasted like it had freezer burn the French fries were soggy and also tasted of the freezer it’s a shame that the owner doesn’t care

Reliable breakfast, quaint but dated décor, friendly service. Good place to go for a diner-type breakfast.

I love this place, been coming here for years now. Very good customer service. The food taste great. I would recommend the Grilled Chicken Avocado Sandwich. By far my most favorite item on the menu. There dishes are always filling. Also there fries are the best. I would say it is kinda $$ pricey, but you get for what you pay for. I honestly don’t mind paying for good quality. Its a good place to take the family for sunday breakfast.

Brentwood icon, family-owned, old school diner that’s what Early World is all about along with friendly, fast service and food as good as my last dine pre-Yelp. Breakfast served all day, my friend zeroed in on pancakes. Me? BLT, daily special that day, I got it on toasted sourdough with a side of coleslaw. Can’t comment on that short stack, even though I was offered a taste, assured it was worthy, I declined. Too focused on my savory sand, one I don’t make at home cuz bacon’s too much work, I know, I know… All ingredients were spread to the edge, as they should be, each bite therefore even . Coming from our dentist , we left my car with the medical building valet who btw highly recommended Early World. Otherwise, find one-hour meters on San Vicente or if you’re willing to walk a bit park in the surrounding residential area but be aware of street cleaning days. I believe there’s valet service during evening hours, directly in front of Early World.

The first word that comes to mind in regards to this establishment– FAMILY! I, like anyone else with working eye-balls can see that this restaurant is lacking some serious ambiance– BUT, what they lack in aesthetics, they MORE than make up for with their friendly, family oriented customer-service, Amazing home-style cooking, & healthy menu options. With a wide variety of delicious appetizers, sides, entrees and deserts, there’s sure to be something on the menu for everyone. I honestly order from this place about 3x a week, and usually twice a day– I love supporting small businesses, and they really make me feel great in doing so. The entire staff, from the owner, his wife, the servers, to the bus-boys, everyone is so accommodating, friendly, willing to go the extra mile, and I always feel good walking in there, because they are full of loving compliments! LOL! Now, it’s no secret that they are a little more expensive than one might think they should be, but somehow– the food, attention to detail, and customer service makes up for it. And come on, they’re located right outside the Brentwood Gardens, in the fitness mecca, I’m sure they have some serious rent to pay. Also, they deliver for no charge to surrounding businesses(I visit my friend at work, & we order in for lunch), and they do it promptly with a smile on their face. All in all, love them, and will continue to eat here as much as my tummy will allow. P. S.- They make a KILLER breakfast plate, Espresso, and Tapioca! Love, –The annoying guy who always calls in his orders, & makes you change it all around to my liking. ;)

The food is what you’d expect from a diner. Better than average for coffee shop type of menu, they do a wonderful job with their salmon — always delicious and very moist. The prices are way too expensive… forgetting its Brentwood. The décor is atrocious– outdated and dusty. If you’re there during a bright sunny day remember to bring sun goggles! Owner refuses to invest in a shade. Better not to see the unsightly interior,

Their breakfast is the bomb! I usually go for an omelate from the place when I missed out on breakfast at home…(thanks to them, more often than not). There dishes are always filling. Eggs always perfect. Take out, Dine in. don’t matter, the food is made just right.

By far the best breakfast place in Brentwood. People that give this restaurant bad reviews have poor taste in life. Yes it is a little expensive, but you are in Brentwood. How many Burger Kings are in Beverley Hills? The service is great and food comes fast. I would recommend the Eggs Benedict with Lox. Support family owned restaurants and«Boss Up»

I met my friend in Brentwood for a walk and we stumbled upon this cute little restaurant and decided to have lunch. I ordered the turkey salad pita and it was delicious! My mom makes the best turkey salad, but I think Early World just beat her recipe. I will definitely be headed back here for this dish! So good!

Here every thursday night. Good home style cooking with a great waiter — I am not sure of his name though. Gyros is by far the best dish but a heart attack in a sandwich for sure. Salmon is good and healthy and so is the salmon sandwich. Good simple restaurant with descent home style cooking.
