We ordered for our staff party here ahead of time and the food was fresh and delicious. Mimo came up with a plan to meet the needs of the guests and we were not disappointed. The guacamole and salsas were especially yummy, and the black bean tacos made the vegetarians and the rest of us happy. I can’t wait to come back and try the tortas because they look yummy.

I love this place. The staff is very friendly and the food is good quality. It’s always really clean in here, too. You have to be really clear when ordering though, I ordered chicken and got beef once, and became extremely sick(I can’t eat beef). The burrito is priced at $ 4.99, but since I wanted to add sour cream and lettuce, my total always ends up at $ 8.99 for no reason. It’s not stated why on the receipt, either. Other than that, the place is convenient and nice.

Just came across this place, not really in the mood for Mexican food. We’re so glad we stopped in. Ordered the carne asada wet burrito and they made it just the way I like it, right amount of meat, beans, pico de gallo and the rest. I especially loved the habanero salsa. It was a perfect compliment. We will definitely come back.

. the food is shit. Meat was old and overfried. Sopes were like soggy crap. Just no.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Clean and comfortable with that nook and cranny feel. They were very friendly I ordered a chicken quesadilla and two tacos. A good amount of food for a decent price. The food was good. Be sure to add cilantro and onion to your tacos or else you’ll just have meat and tortilla(which was still tasty). I really enjoyed the salsa verde too. I’ll be back.

At the onset, I was initially skeptical of this restaurant(I should’ve listened to my intuition) but I persisted at the bequest of my friend’s suggestion. I ordered the super burrito(a wet burrito with green and red sauce) and a torta(sans the mayo). What I received was the most depressing culinary sight I’ve ever seen. The burrito had only one type of sauce(which really just tasted like reconstituted enchilada sauce) despite me paying for both. The torta was essentially two slices of bread with a smear of beans, asada, and a light splattering of garnishes. What’s more, the limes where so old and dry that I barely got a few drops after squeezing the life out of them. I would’ve returned the food but I was already home and felt that studying for finals was more prudent than complaining about my food order. I, for my part, will not be coming back here.

Not actually open until midnight. They close anywhere from an hour to an an hour and a half early every night.

I’ve been eyeing this place for a while and finally stopped in for lunch. I ordered the taco plate to go. I got 3 carnitas tacos with rice and beans. The carnitas were ok, but honestly, I’ve had better. Overall, I would rate the food quality«okay», but nothing exceptional or overly inspiring. The price can’t be beat. If you are in the neighborhood, stop in and grab a bite. I think that for the money, you can find better tasting Mexican food, but for price, convenience and locale, this place does the job and satisfies a growling tummy. I would definitely go back to try another menu item; I’ll keep you posted…

I can eat burrito’s any time of the day. ANYTIMEOFTHEDAY. I may not feel great eating it EVERYDAY, but on the occasion that I do – I feel magical. The awesomeness of El Super Taco is out of this world. It’s like having the body of a greek god and sprouting wings and gills at the same time, while being shot out into space on the Tesla one way spaceship and guiding that bitch straight into the middle of the sun, while flexing your kevlar chest as firebombs are repeatedly shot at you by Prodigy. Chicken Burrito; double the size of your manlihood in one sitting. Promise.

This place is super awful! I ordered the fried fish taco combo and one carnitas taco. The meat on the carnitas taco was dry and the corn tortilla dry and crusty around the corners. It looked like it had been sitting on the counter all day and they microwaved it. The worst part was the fish taco combo. It was so disappointing because it was just a small corn tortilla with little scraps of inedible fish. Nothing else was on the taco! No cabbage, no tomatoes, no crème sauce, nothing! Plus the fish smelled like rotten milk. All this cost $ 9.65. Bad bad experience for me at this place.

El Super WONDERFUL!!! I love love love this place. It’s inexpensive and fantastic. I like the tacos, sopas, and especially. something called the SUPERALAMBRE. You can’t go wrong! Free parking, decent service, amazing watered down salsa. ;) The negative reviews are funny… what do you expect for the price? The Ritz? After you finish(or before) run up stairs to my favorite Chiropractor of all time. :)

2.5 stars rounded up to three. I’m deducting half a star because of consistently poor customer service by the female cashier. I’m tired of her making me wait while she takes phone orders. Here’s an idea, put phone callers on hold while you take the order of the customer who’s been waiting and is actually in front of you ready to pay. On my most recent visit, I signaled my annoyance by sighing, shaking my head, etc. She promptly messed up my order, even though I get the same thing pretty much every time, making me suspect it was intentional. I’ve been a very loyal customer for several years but am not sure I’ll be returning.

Want HARD as a rock MEAT? They served me extremely hard(harder than beef jerky) meat TWICE. I’ve been coming to this taco joint on and off and their meat is very inconsistent. I was so disgusted. The first time, I thought maybe it was just an accident. Getting it served twice means it’s on purpose. It wasn’t just one type of meat either. It was both their al pastor and carnitas that was inedible. There is absolutely no excuse to serving old meat like that. I think they are trying to save money by recycling their meat rather than discarding it, but in the end it will hurt them more than save them. Please avoid this place because there are much better taco joints with consistent quality in the LA area.

Came here after I couldnt find this taco truck that I was looking for. They only have .99 cent tacos AFTER5pm– which was a jip bc there was no way to see that after 5 info when driving from the street– either a jip or clever marketing. Anywho I had the chicken flautas– MIGHTYTASTY! I love love love Mexican food and am picky. This was delish. The place was clean and the food was good and those are my only requirements for fast food— that and that they dont mess up my order which they didnt!

The Skinny: Tasty taco truck fare at taco truck prices, sans the night schedule and wheels. Ambiance: low-key, dive-y, sparsely decorated, cramped, blank-walled eatery. In short: the money’s in the takeout. The Long of It: Used to live around the corner from this place. Being 45 seconds away from tacos this good almost made up for the poverty-inducing amount of rent I was paying to be in West LA. Almost. I always ordered the same items to go(since pigging out, hunched over the coffee table on my own couch while watching Law and Order reruns was clearly the best option), which were also what I’d typically order at taco trucks: lengua, cabeza, tripas, and/or sometimes carne asada tacos, the last of which I would pay extra for. Sometimes I got the combo, but most of the time, a la carte. My orders always came out hot and fresh, the meat tender, juicy and flavorful. I never had them, but my roommate then also swore by their tortas, which always looked positively delicious. Beverages include the usual sodas, Jarritos, and horchata, the last of which I’d get at times though it was a little too thin and sweet for my liking. They also have a salsa bar where you can load up a few months’ worth of halved mini limes, diced onions and cilantro, pico de gallo, salsa verde, roasted salsa, hot salsa, pickled turnip and carrots, sliced radishes, and sliced jalapenos. My routine of course included packing at least two ½ oz containers of each item. One simply doesn’t consume gamier meat tacos like lengua, cabeza and tripas without some sort of relish.
Whenever I went, it was always fairly empty, but maybe it was because I went during off hours – usually middle of a lazy Saturday or Sunday afternoon, when I’ve decided to reward myself with a treat for a week of mind-numbing paper-pushing. I’d always been surprised(and secretly glad) that El Super Taco didn’t have more rave reviews, given the dismal quality, by comparison, of all the other taco joints lining Santa Monica Blvd. within a 2 mile radius.(Pili’s Tacos and Benito’s – yes, I mean you.) But now that I’m out of the area, I might as well give it a nice shoutout or two. So there’s my best-kept secret from 2008. Enjoy those tacos – though you won’t need me to tell you that.

The(Los) Anglos Infestation. A plague that has afflicted and is threatening to consume our great city of Los Angeles. This place is a hold out to this growing epidemic. Just had a solid lunch here with(true chicano) Nick T. aka 0Beast, and we found that this is one of the few Mexican spots in West Los Angeles where you can have a full lunch and not see a a pretentious douchebag staring at his iPhone and«checking in» on Unilocal to say that he has been here. Their salsas are awesome… especially the habanero salsa. I haven’t had a topping this spicy in LA in a while, and my mouth was on fire as I tried to quench the flames with a full glass of soda. We each had a Torta, mine topped with a generous heap of carnitas and his the«Torta Cubana» topped with head cheese, string cheese, avocados, and HAM. To top this off, the Super Nachos, a two pound platter of chips, pinto beans(pasted), cheese, onions, cilantro, jalapenos, sour cream, and guacamole. For under $ 20, total. It must be the slight seedy-ness of the locale in question that drives all of the(Los) Anglos away. If you’ve read this far and agreed with my points, you are one of Los Anglos. Stay away from this delicious place.

After having been without the comidas deliciosas from this place for over a year, I was lucky enough to be in the neighborhood once again. Since I’ve been dealing with the poor excuses for tortas down in OC, there was no question what I was going to order from El Super Taco, name of the restaurant be damned! Una torta carne asada, por favor! Phenomenal.
