Evolution of Style

I purchased clothing from Evolution of style. Delivery was 3 months late. The owner generally ignores requests for updates.
My previous review was removed– I trust this one demonstrates ‘sufficient first hand experience’.

For my wedding I was recommended to Jonathan for his expertise in men’s suits. I was able to get a custom made suits for myself and groomsmen while getting great advice on fashion. I appreciated his communication, explanations of fittings, and the final suits looked amazing!
I would highly suggest Evolution of Style for any custom suit! (And the logo-​lined suits look incredible!)

Jonathan’s shop is excellent. I’ve been a client of his since he started and couldn’t be happier. The quality of the suit is high and the fit couldn’t be better. If that’s not enough, he reimburses for potential alterations. On top of that, he’s super easy to work with and has an excellent process. I have and will continue to recommend him to family and friends.

I met Jonathan through a friend I surfed with when I lived in LA. He dialed in my whole wedding party with new custom suits (and had a dope Arizona flag inserted into my jacket liner as a cherry on top!).
At the wedding, all of the guests were in awe of the matching suits and consistently asked where we got them, etc.
I would recommend EoS, and Jonathan wholeheartedly to anyone who needs to look amazing for a big day. That and their cost is so reasonable, it doesn’t have to break the bank to look your best!

I thought maybe it was just me who had a bad customer service experience, but after reading the reviews it is just how the company operates. I ordered a suit, sport coat and a shirt. The suit and sport coat took longer than quoted and a couple of fittings to get the fit right. If I was rating only quality I would give four starts. The suit and sport coat fit perfect now and quality of fabric is good. I am still waiting for the shirt I ordered on ⁹⁄₁. The wrong color shirt was made three months ago. Since Nov I have been waiting to receive the shirt I actually ordered. Jonathan told me he had the shirt five weeks ago and he was shipping it the next day. I have followed up every week and I still waiting for them to ship the shirt. It is shocking how they just don’t care about the customer.

When meeting Edwin or Jonathan in person, it’s a great experience. When it comes to actually getting the clothes… Good luck. I was told 4 – 6 weeks. After 6 months, I had received 4 out of 8 shirts. It would take weeks of calls and emails for me to get a reply, I’d be told the shirts were coming in a day or so and then nothing. The only way I finally got a response was to threaten to sue. I actually really like the clothes, loved the suit I bought but the service was horrible. If they have delivery or production issues, just say that and refund me. Don’t lie to me for months. I was also promised free shirts and ties as compensation that I never received. Very disappointing!

I ordered several shirts from Jonathan approximately 18 months ago. The shirts were delivered as promised; however, they were all very poorly tailored and ill-​fitting. Unfortunately, their biggest defect was collars that were not properly sized, making them impossible to fix myself at a local tailor. Jonathan promised delivery of new shirts that were to be delivered by November/​December 2015. After I did not receive the shirts on time, Jonathan informed me they must have gotten lost in the mail, but repeatedly refused to provide tracking information so I could follow up directly with the shipping company. And from that point forward has been entirely unresponsive to emails and calls. Sadly I just have to assume he’s stolen my money. Do not purchase anything from him.

I have used and referred many people to Edwin, so this review is based upon my experience with Edwin only. I’m not one to leave reviews because I generally don’t want to take the time to do so, but I was pretty surprised to see the poor reviews and felt that my experiences have been so different, it warranted mentioning.
I bought my former partner no fewer than 6 suits from Edwin and he has continued to buy more suits and shirts. He is a ‘hard’ user of the suits, so wears them out more quickly than somebody who would only wear it once or twice a month, but they hold up well, and he always gets compliments.
I recently bought a suit as a gift for a friend, and because the fitting was a surprise, Edwin took the time to come to my house after Shabbat and do the fitting at 9pm on a Friday! Edwin is EXTREMELY communicative about everything and anything, has an incredible eye for detail, and a great sense of aesthetics. He seems to think of everything and his customer service is on-​point. I get the sense that he handles things in the manner in which he likes others to handle things when he is the client position, which I just love because I am a stickler when it comes to service.
I can’t speak for the other reviewers, but my dealings with Edwin have always been a pleasure.

My last order was botched badly. I was promised some free clothes to make up for it, but they never followed through and my follow-​up emails were ignored. Very disappointing.

I am very disappointed in the service. I had 3 jackets customized back in January and I am still waiting for them. I was told several times that they are ready and was told they were going to be delivered and were not. I will never go back and he is not trustworthy.
