How to rate this place: Your age divided by ten! You know what i mean… (°° Dear Unilocaler, I am breaking out of haiku to explain this review to you as Unilocal has deemed you not intelligent enough to figure out anything useful from my review… so here it is! You’ll have more fun if you’re older. Why? Because that’s the audience this club caters to. My review was removed because it «lacked a firsthand experience», but I thought my review was fine the way it was without having to say, «I was here and it seemed like it’d be more fun for an older crowd.» No offense to David C., but how does his review of, «Never again. NEVER!» offer any more insight to his experience than mine(other than the fact that he seemed to be dismayed by it). I would have hoped that a company like Unilocal would embrace creative reviews, and perhaps it does, but my review must have been too cryptic for their tastes. Anyway, hope you guys are having a fantastic day!

I went on a Friday nite. At 11:30pm, there was a crowd of about 20 guys and 3 girls. We left after 20 minutes and $ 300+ tab. What happened to this place?

Been here more than a few times for sh*ts and giggles before, but the last couple of times left a bad taste in my mouth. They try to rip you off even more than other nightclubs I think. 4 of us, 1 bottle of Johnny Walker Black, $ 300?! And an expected hefty tip, even though almost a total lack of booking. I’m over this place. So long ajumma! :*-(

Let me be honest… I never thought that I would find myself here. It has a reputation for being a club for… older folks. Not that I’m a young’n but still… I thought this was a place where I would really see someone my dad’s age. Well…I was wrong about that. It looked like most people there were in their late-20s, probably in their 30s. BUT for a Saturday night, it was DEAD. Mostly guys… which would have been great, if I hadn’t already come with a bunch of dudes(it was a guy friend’s bday). So why 3 stars? It has potential. The music’s pretty good. The dance floor is decently large for a venue of that size. And quite frankly, the venue is pretty nice for a Korean club. it was just a bit odd that everyone on the dance floor was guys… dancing with each other… trying to attract the few females who were there. After about an hour, we left to Karnak… where it was also mostly guys. I would’ve been happier there to begin with since at least at Karnak, it was packed… better chances in a bigger pond, right?

I thought this was a booking club for cougars looking for hot young males??? how the hell did I end up getting booked?! I hate how they just grab you and drag you to the men even when you’re telling them NO! My friend only brought me here cause Busby(across the street) was closed. The only reason why I even gave this place a star– the dance floor is sorta big and the music wasn’t bad. Quick Tip: Bottle service only, parking lot in back, Crown is the cheapest bottle available.

Okay fine. The first time I went to Express I got dragged there by a few of my girl friends who wanted go to K clubbing at the last minute. The only thing I knew about Express was that ajumas and ajushis go there. But the«booking» table for girls was only $ 50.00 for a bottle of crown and a fruit platter so I shrugged and decided to go — only $ 20 per girl x 5 for tip = $ 100 in total. Not bad for K clubbing. Maybe its because we all got trashed that night(and every other night that we’ve been) but we always have a good time when we go there. Now keep in mind that we’re all in our late 20’s so we’re definitely in the«younger» age group and have come to know all of the waiters and even the bouncer in the front. Most of the«oppas» that we booked with are in their mid 30’s or so with a few sprinkling of ajushis that say I look like their daughter. *ack* But the music is really good and the waiters are super fun — although a few times I’ve left there with bruises on my arm and leg from being hustled around from table to table. The booking is pretty aggressive as the waiters just«wait» for you to get up and snatch you as you step out of any booth/room — my friend and I have even been pulled from the dance floor and even the ladies bathroom — two areas where we thought we were«safe» from booking. The people here are definitely KOREAN so if you dont speak Korean, you’re going to have a tough time at the«booking» thing. Not sure what it is with this place but I’d say 99% of the guys are super nice and are not stingy with their drinks and pour away without hesitation. Needless to say, this is a fun place to go if you have no expectations and just want to have fun.

Recently I’ve been doing poorly at Cercle and VR, averaging 0 to 1 number a night. It’s pretty obvious that older girls are easier to get, and it was also pretty obvious that I was desperate as hell when I agreed to Express. Surprisingly the crowd wasn’t that bad. There were a few girls in their 20s and for a change they were happy to see me. It’s kind of like when a Korean guy in Idaho meets a Korean girl in Idaho. She doesn’t have much of a choice. There were definitely a few ajumas and ajushis in their 40s and 50s but you can’t complain because Express is their territory. It’s hard to rag on them for being that old and still booking. We all get to that age eventually and not all of us are going to marry and live happily ever after. I actually have a good eye for knowing if a girl was hot in her prime. It’s tragic when a beautiful Korean girl inevitably gets to the point where she’s no longer attractive. Typically beauty and intelligence are inversely related so these formerly hot Korean girls are left with nothing. It makes me relieved to be a guy, since we can peak in our late 30s and 40s even. Harrison Ford and Sean Connery can win sexiest man of the year. Most of the girl winners are in their 20s. I guess none of this is new, guys like girls that are young and pretty and girls can like an older dude if he’s well established. I’m sure most normal people would criticize me for hooking up with an older girl. But if the attraction is there and both parties understand each other then whatever. There’s this great movie quote from some chick flick I watched… life is short, life is dull, life is full of pain. This is a chance for something special.

Friday night. The DJ was great — I danced the whole night. If you want to dance without a lot of other club-related craziness, this place is AWESOME. I don’t know what other Unilocalers are talking about«old». Friday night, the crowd was mid-20’s to early 30’s. Okay there was *one* grandma who was adorable so I danced with her a bit. If anything this bar has *less* cougars than most. No one booked or even talked to me, probably because I was the only white person in the place. After I started dancing some of the k girls smiled at me – sorry fellas but some k guys do not know how to boogie :)

HA! This place is a joke!!! This is so far my 1st and only negative review ever! Express is dirty, rundown Karaōke place with slow service, bad music and, not to mention, a total RIPOFF!!! They charged us only $ 150 for bottle service, which they said is a show of good faith to us since it is our 1st time there. They charged us $ 54 for a plate of rice cakes, which the server admitted was overpriced, but they had to makeup for the great deal they gave us for the table. The bartender(who wrote up the bill) said that«we can charge however much we want, it’s a free market» AND he threatened to file harassment charges against me when I, as politely as I could, requested them to adjust the price of the rice cakes to the correct amount. When I asked the server for their business cards, he had the galls to ask me «which one?» He wanted to know if I would be interested in throwing parties or making reservations there in the future. Ummm… wow… Oh, during the whole ordeal, there was an older Korean woman who works there and kept interjecting with comments like: «You’re so pretty», «you should be a model.» OMFG. THISPLACEISNOTRECOMMENDED!!!

Kclubbing and booking for ajummas and ajusshis? Sign me up! I came here one night out of sheer curiosity(and to get allowance from some rich ajumma, but that’s another story), and left with a newfound appreciation for old people. I’ll tell you what, they can get down, and aren’t afraid to show it. Have you ever tried freaking a 45 year old? Umm, yeah, me neither. But I’m sure if you would want to, this would be the place. And guys, if you are in your late/mid twenties, you are the booking equivalent to a hot girl at Cercle and VR: you are king here. Cougar hunters unite!

This place is hillarious. So this is your 30+ ktown club where you see aunts, uncles and old people. There is a mix though of a few mid to late 20’s girls and guys but its mostly 30’s-40’s. I mostly never get a table because its not worth the money but sit at the bar. Bartender is Joe by the way. Ask him to do a card trick. He is actually my friend so we go there but I always get a good laugh from the drunk old people. Its hillarious watching them dance it off. Good place to go if you are bored and wanna laugh a bit. I do hate the live singing though. DJ is good and when I asked other younger girls in the 20’s why they come, they say the music is good. I know they arent there for the old men. Hahahhaa! Or are they?

i’ve never actually been INSIDE, i am tall and not asian so there’s no way in hell they are letting me near the door. the parking lot is full of bmw’s, lexus, and mercedes: they park any hondas in the back so they dont besmudge the scene. If you want some entertainment stroll on by when they close on the weekends, stumbling girls in high heels, fights break out, one time the cops came and handcuffed a bunch of people. sh*t, im giving ‘em two stars for pure entertainment value. Paul Walker should hang out here at 2am because it turns into the Fast and the Furious when all these liquored up guys jump in their cars. i luv me some cougars* and this place atttracs them like no other. watch out thou, i’ve seen one throw down and she was tiny but it took a couple bouncers to hold her back. **the women, NOT the animal

This K-club is more for the early to mid 30’s crowd. Not really my kind of scene… but a total meat market… especially for old married women. As with all K-clubbing, expensive! For the same price I’d rather go to Le Prive or Kar Nak.
