Carey figured out that my left foot was very inflexible — before I even mentioned that I had sprained my ankle a month ago. She gently moved my foot, ankle, leg, and more, so that within an hour, my foot and ankle were completely flexible and pain free! I had been avoiding walking for the last month, for fear of re-injuring myself, but started taking long walks again the day I saw Carey. Instead of wearing shoes with stability and arch supports, which I’ve been doing for years, the next day, I started wearing very flexible shoes that allow me to move my supple feet freely and comfortably.

Someone up above must have been listening because Carey appeared in my life at the height of an endless daily struggle with pains and aches which affected my neck, shoulders and jaws. In addition I was suffering from bouts of CeIiac related stomach problems. I was miserable, very stressed and quite weak. Carey was genuinely interested in hearing about what was ailing me and from the very first meeting she took it upon herself to fix me up «no matter what». Today, four months later I can say with gratitude: Thank you Carey for your care and support, for your amazing generosity with your time and knowledge, for being the kimdest and most gentle healer, and for being the truly wonderful person that you are. I have had both the private table sessions and the group floor sessions and each have helped in its own unique fashion. If you are new to Feldenkrais I recommend you try both. I believe Carey offers the first table lesson free of charge so don’t miss out on trying this. The principal idea of Feldenkrais as Carey likes to put it is that«less is more» and by adopting this simple yet surprisingly difficult to implement rule we develop new and helpful awareness of our body and our movements. With each lesson of Feldenkrais this new awareness is expanded and more deeply imprinted in our brain. It is unique in sense that«hardly doing anything» during class results in a feeling of deep relaxation, a sense of being grounded and a lighter freer movement at the end of class. I have been practicing Yoga and meditation all my life, and presently it is my favorite form of meditation and deep relaxation. My neck and shoulders are immeasurably improved and my TMJ is practically cured.

Carey is a caring, professional practitioner. I was her first client quite some time ago, and she was my first experience with the Feldenkrais method.
