A real gem. Fresh food, totally reasonable prices. Delicious baked items. Try the cheesecake chocolate chip cookie!

Yummy! I accidentally stopped by at this restaurant when I got off the freeway looking for a café (more for restroom actually) in downtown LA. Just couldn’t bypass the restaurant but had to stop by when I saw the coffee sign. Well, I got tea instead of coffee and pastry. Owner couple said they baked the cookie and muffin that I picked. When I actually try the pastries at home later in the evening… they were good, very good. The cookie was big, thick, tender; just the way I like. The blueberry muffin was so delicious with enough blueberries inside. Will definitely stop by again when I get a chance.

I get food from here all the time. This café is my favorite place to relax with a warm cup of coffee. I order food from here so much, one time i was in a rush and over paid. The next time i went to get food they told me they had money they owed me. They remembered me and my over payed mistake.

I WAS a true fan of this spot, but since the change of ownership it hasn’t been the same. The cheesecake chocolate chip cookies used to be delicious now they are just dry and tasteless.
I will stop going to that place after witnessing one of the owners charge someone for hot water. I understand that you have a business to run but her response for not giving hot water out was just ridiculous. She justified her action by telling one of the customers that she’s running a business and that if she starts giving it free stuff she would have a long line of people asking for free stuff. Yeah the food is not the greatest so doubt that will happen. I will not be eating anything there again. Hope the customer service improves.

First the cashier was super sweet and was all smiles. I just wanted a simple cup of coffee but she just made it a great experience. It’s just started my day off so great to have a smile and good coffee!

This is a straightforward and traditional café. Given the influx of so many new hipster or artisan restaurants in the area, it’s nice to have something a bit more basic and more importantly, significantly cheaper. First Cup serves mostly sandwiches, salads, and pastries as well as varying lunch specials, and prices are for the most part about $ 7 – 9.
The food and serving sizes here are both decent. Not outstanding, but more than adequate and good for the price. The ingredients are fresh but very standard.
The pastries here are a bit more notable. The chocolate chip cookie ($ 2) is particularly excellent. It’s large, soft, and just a bit crispy on the edges.
If you’re looking for something simple and cheap for lunch, First Cup Caffe is a great non-​fast food option.

Came here for wifi and tea and that’s exactly what I got.

Great place to have breakfast/​lunch! It’s very affordable and filling. The food is freshly made with fresh ingredients. I love how the salad dressing wasn’t too sweet and the bread was super soft and warm. I would definitely come back here with my friends or family.

This place did not disappoint! Came in for breakfast not expecting much, but I was blown away. I ordered the French toast, which comes with fresh strawberries. The bread was really soft and the texture was awesome. It was really good with some syrup. I also ordered an Americano. The espresso was very clean and complimented the French toast perfectly. I will definitely come back!

First Cup Caffe has healthy and delicious food.
Personally, I think it is alot better than Urth Caffe’s food. Urth Caffe is overrated.
This place is a middle size café with a lot of people during lunch time. The service is absolutely amazing and fast. There is Free WIFI! Clean and quiet environment to work, read, and meet your friends. No wait to order and it took about 15 minutes for food to come out.
My favorites: Spinach and Strawberry Salad, Turkey Panini, and American Hamburger
All I can say is that they are very fresh and delicious!
All in all, First Cup Caffe has a lot of delicious healthy and trendy food options. Definitely better than Urth Caffe!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!
This place is just straight up false advertising. On the description it claims to be a bagel place. Sure, they have bagels but they are the kind you buy in the supermarket isle and no where worthy of reselling in a resturant. I ordered a salt bagel with extra butter (extra butter cost 25 cents btw) they sent a plain store bought cheap bagel with salt packets!!! Lol. I died. The worst! They then sent me an «extra» butter packet which cost extra. The breakfast burrito was small and non filling especially for $ 10. It was the size of a $ 1 dollar menu McDonald’s one. It came with a side of fruit which was basically just a small portion of cantaloupe and melon with one grape inside! It was so sad looking. My partner was disappointed in the croissant too. Croissants are buttery and flaky and this came like a stale baked roll in the shape of a croissant. He took one bite and threw both of them out. They did send good freshly squeezed orange juice and for that I would give them two stars if it didn’t come warm. I won’t be wasting my hard earned money here again. Sad excuse for a breakfast.

Great place for some tasty pastries. My personal favorite is the chocolate chip cheesecake cookie. They serve breakfast, but not the best. Cookies all the way!

I ordered on grub hub and it was disappointing. When we ordered they forgot several orders and utensils. Never ordering from here again.
It tasted mediocre

Got the white mocha and a cinnamon roll. Had quite the sweet tooth this morning. The white mocha was blended nicely and was just sweet enough. The cinnamon roll wasn’t heavy at all. Delicious.
The staff was very friendly and helpful (not that I got much haha). The seating is quite nice as well. Quite enough to do work but still have the quaint café background noises, if you like that sort of thing like I do.

Came here for dessert after eating maccheroni republic. Parking in the structure cost $ 10, Ouch!
The desserts looked somewhat delicious from the outside, but nothing really vibrant and nothing really stood out. I noticed they had cheese rolls and guava cheese rolls just like the ones at Portos.
So I got one cheese roll: tasted okay, Portos was bigger and tasted a lot better. Prolly would just stick with Portos on this one.
Cannoli: this was my first time trying a cannoli and it wasn’t what I expected. I thought it was gonna be like a crêpe but the outside is actually like a hard crunchy pasty. I liked the cream inside but the hard texture just made me more thirsty and made it harder for me to eat.
Cheesecake cookie: this tasted nothing like a cookie. The texture was super spongy, it wasn’t moist, sweet or appetizing. It did really taste like a cheesecake tho, but I wish the texture was more like an actual cookie. Very hard to eat, every time I bite into it, it tastes stale or old.

This place is terrible… the service and the food sucks. Took me twenty minutes to get a bagel and lox… but then they messed up my order and finally gave me a bagel that wasn’t toasted. I will never go back

This is my go to spot for Meatless Monday… a cup of tomato bisque and a grilled cheese… yum yum!

Totally gone down hill since Sue left. Came here this am late opening then food was not ready for service. Front counter not set up. I give it about 6 more months and it will close. Sad great location crappy ownership.

Ever since the ownership change over a year ago this place has suffered dramatically. They raised prices, use poorer quality ingredients now, offer tasteless specials, and then regularly mess up orders. After more than a year there is no excuse for this! Guess I the often empty dining room says a lot.

Grabbed breakfast here. It’s inside of mall area and not easy to see from the street. It’s cafeteria-​style, but their seating area is actually kind of nice and they do bring the food out to you. Breakfast burrito special was pretty good, though the potatoes were undercooked.
