Service was fast did not have to wait too long for my beef teriyaki bowl, chicken bowl, chili cheese burger and tai tea boba drink. The chicken was really soft and tasted so fresh. The teriyaki beef was flavorful and my top favorite out of the other orders. For the burger the meat was cooked really great. Small shop but is very cute. It has a variety of Korean food, Mexican food, burgers and fries and blended drinks.

its often difficult to scope out an off brand pick on Unilocal for your neighborhood. when i read previous comments about flame chicken i definitely had my reservations, but after trying the rotisserie whole chicken($ 10), i would give like 8⁄10 recommendation. the chicken is really light and has none of the unnecessary fat that you might see in the sweating bags of vons and ralphs chicken. flame chicken is located on prime latin american turf. i walk in and theres these guys talking that latino angeleno ingles over tacos and it made me feel so comfortable knowing its like a chill ass spot for the hood. i ended up making a mirepoix salsa and pulled the chicken for tacos. super yum attack for days. they also have bunch of meal options and if u on budget cant go wrong here. next check in im going for the breakfast burrito. cos im gringo af like that

The quesadilla was big and at a good price. The people there are nice and attentive. I will definitely go back and may even try something different from their diverse menu.

The rotisserie chicken is solid and the salsa is surprisingly fantastic for some random, menu all over the place, not sure what it wants to be hole in the wall. Who knew?. $ 30 for 4 meals. Not bad. All enjoyed chicken.1 ordered nachos. Fail. IMO stick with what a place is naming itself after and you should be good. Lady at counter was super friendly and sweet.

I love this place! Come here plenty enough so thought I would drop a review. The menu jumps around over a variety of different cuisines. Burgers, Mexican, Teriyaki, Fish and Chips… it’s a hodgepodge. But everything is always freshly made. The best thing is definitely the breakfast burrito. Big, fresh and insta-comatose when you’re done, all for $ 5. I am a fan of the chorizo(runs you $ 1 extra but IMO worth it). BESURE to ask for some extra salsa because that’s what really makes it! There are some tables, but to me it’s really more of a takeout place. It’s the type of place I love to dip into on a weekend when I just want a bite that’s nearby and cheap. Service is also friendly, pretty sure it’s a mother-son team which makes it feel all the more homey.

Tons of options here and the namesake chicken is really good and at a good price. The breakfast menu is actually really a treat because the lady here cooks eggs and potatoes flawlessly, so simple items can really keep you coming back. Great drink menu, inside is beat up but they keep it breezy and welcoming.

I really don’t know why this place doesn’t have better reviews. The parking can be a little frustrating, but it’s totally worth it for the Bacon Breakfast Burrito! It’s the best one I’ve had so far, all the fillings are evenly spaced out, no cold spots like Chipotle, and only 5 bucks! I can never finish it, a great portion. They have a lot of items on the menu, and everything I’ve tried was great, fresh, with that homemade taste. *their fountain drinks are the best-not watered down to hell, very creamy and awesome!

So the parking here sucks. I feel like employees park in the lot leaving no room for the customers. Since I was with a friend, she just dropped me off and I went in to order. Even though they have tables it really doesn’t look like its meant fir dining in. I ordered a whole chicken with salad and potato. The chicken cut up for us. The skin was nice and crispy and the flavor was yum. The salad is just some lettuce so nothing fancy. The potato is mashed potato which was delicious. Just come here if you want some simple chicken to go.

Having just moved to the neighborhood and exploring all the walking-distance eateries, I was reluctant to try this place due to a lack of Unilocal reviews. However I decided to give this place a chance after I saw the flames from their rotisserie calling me inside. Im glad they did because they have a great value korean style chicken dinner() that left me very satisfied. It comes with pikled radish() and some pico de gallo. Half chicken meal costed me $ 6.50. Chicken was juicy and the skin nice and crispy. Pretty standard stuff and will definitely be joining my weekly rotation.

I would say it’s a hidden treasure. All their food is great. But I wanna recommend you«Korean style whole chicken». Yes, they are Mexican restaurant but owned by Korean. There’s only one Korean food on their menu. Owner said to me they grilled a chicken slowly for a long time(24hrs maybe, I’m not sure) so it’s really crispy and not greasy. Also dipping in red spicy source is good combination. The reason why I gave them 4stars is… parking is little annoying. And atmosphere is like, when you’re sitting there, you may feel you’re in small restaurant in small town of Mexico. It means«don’t expect romantic mood in there!“lol

Chicken is pretty ok. Salsa is rather salty.

this place is now called Flame Chicken. Been going here since it was El Pollo Bailador. The chicken is good. Their sides are whatever. I get the beans and rice and they serve you well. It’s great for lunch cuz its cheaper. Make sure to get the salsa sauce for the chicken

Yes! Their chicken dances in your mouth! That’s how tasty their rotisserie chicken are… just bursting with«latin spices» flavor… cooked by Koreans. Suprise! Lol! Marinated and cooked perfectly! Definitely way better than the chain El Pollo Loco! The chicken that is… This is my «I want great chicken but lazy to cook at home and seat in a restaurant» to go kind of place! Freakin’ delicious!

Half a chicken for $ 5.00 or a whole one for $ 10. True, you can get a delicious whole chicken from Vons down the street for about 6 or 7 bucks, but the birds from El Pollo Bailador are pretty good. Plus, the skin is a lot crispier and not as greasy as grocery story chicken. I had some tortillas, cilantro, lime, and bbq sauce waiting at home. I only needed el pollo. If I didn’t have those things, I would have definitely picked up one of their meal deals that come with various sides, salsa, and tortillas. However, the meal I had at home was perfect with the chicken, especially when followed up with an ice cold beer. It’s a hole in the wall joint and didn’t really seem like the most comfortable place to eat in. In fact, I think they only had about 2 tables, and it was a really tight squeeze. Better to pick up and take with you, I think. If you want to dine in, there’s Merko a few blocks up on Beverly. It’s a little roomier there. I’m not sure how the chicken is there, but it looked like a similar setup and price range. This place was good though. It wasn’t outstanding, but I would definitely be open to stopping by again.
