They’ve been in business since 1954 so they’re doing something right. Their breakfast burritos are comparable to the high end places around town and they treat everyone like family. I enjoy dining in and watching the constant flow of satisfied loyal customers. Best kept secret in town!

Breakfast lunch or dinner Frank’s has the authentic and generous portions of Mexican food. Had a breakfast burrito with adobada that was out of this world. Their quesadillas are more like flat burritos and have tons of meat, cheese, and extras packed inside. For a quick bite to eat, none better than Frank’s. Also owner Frank is a super nice guy!

Service is good, food not! For a Mexican restaurant they use can beans, chorizo is like from the 99c store, the milk was spoiled and the coffee taste like it was old and burn not coming back for sure . The chips and salsas were good

I come here often on my lunch break. The staff is very friendly, service is very quick, and the prices are perfect! Can also do take out. I usually get a breakfast burrito or soft tacos(there like street tacos and 3 fills me up). Everything comes with complimentary chips and salsa. No public restroom– theres a restroom but might as well say there isn’t because its gnarly. The interior could really use a facelift– the artwork is old, paint is dingy and there is no music or interesting things on TV for background noise. Sometimes it gets so quiet in there it gets awkward with other patrons.

I’ve had the breakfast burrito the one with bacon and ham. I thought that was great. Today I went with the Machaca and wow. I’m a happy camper. Been here a few times and I have to agree this place rocks!

I first started coming to Frank’s because sometimes I want a breakfast burrito for lunch and this place provided that service near my work. I quickly found out that not only are their other menu items delicious, but the staff is very friendly as well. It feels like you are having lunch at home. They do have takeout, but I recommend eating in(if you can find a table-very cozy place) because they provide free chips and salsa while you wait for your food. The salsa, by the way, is delicious!

I’ve been going to this place for YEARS! Once they get to know you, they really treat you like family. My friends and I love this place because they are so nice and able to create stuff if you ask them for it. You won’t get that type of service anywhere else.

This is a winning spot. A rarity for LA imo. It’s small and very cheap. The morning sun perfectly hits the front of the building right where the little tables sit outside and collect the breeze. This part of fairfax is quiet and sitting outside and eating here is peaceful and relaxing. Really tastey food. very good free chips and salsa. Although the place seems kinda dirty and the food quality isn’t top-notch. for what it is. it’s a hidden gem imo. Need more places like this in la. especially further north in hollywood

Ok, I’m reviewing as I eat but fortunately there will be no pauses due to the medium. That said, what is going on in my mouth is both needing of literary wizardry to describe and also much less culinary wizardry so I can focus on writing this review; as things are I keep getting distracted by each fresh bite! Um. Eat the Tongue! Lengua, any way they dice it, tacos or what have you… It Is Yum! But otherwise no menu surprises, this is just good standard Mexican fare but done oh so wonderfully well! If you get there when Frank(aka Salvador) has made fresh Habanero sauce you gotta do it and apologize to your mouth later. It’s smokey and flavorful and you just wish that it came minus the heat so you could ladle it on. I always stick to a tacos assortment and maybe a avocado salad for extra greens but their breakfast burrito actually kept me alive a full year so i’m kind grateful to it now forevermore. Half for breakfast, half for lunch and a sensible dinner! ;-)

Went there with my coworkers for breakfast. The place was small and cozy and the lady that was working there told us to sit at the big table so we got comfortable. Finally after twenty minutes someone approached us to take our order.(They weren’t even that busy.) We told her what we wanted to drink assuming they would bring it right out but we assumed wrong. FOURTY minutes later they finally brought out our food and just to be clear we didn’t order anything complicated just simple burritos. Eventually they brought our drinks and again nothing complicated just a Sprite. Overall the food was good but wasn’t worth the one hour wait. A few times I wanted to just get up and leave because I didn’t know how much I was going to wait. And I just wanted my damn Sprite.

These guys at Frank’s… Yeah they make a good breakfast burrito. Best one I’ve found west of La Brea. I’ve been on a search for the best breakfast burrito in town and this one, it makes the top 5. Bottom line: just eat it!

I love Frank’s. Family owned, authentic Mexican food at a great price. One of my favorite items are their quesadillas. Amazing. I work within walking distance and I always order my lunch from here. From the customer service to the food… 5 stars all the way

This was my first visit to Frank’s for a breakfast burrito. It’s a nice place with a cool ambiance. The serving staff seem to be really friendly and accommodating. I was looking for a good breakfast burrito and decided to try theirs. I had a choice of ham, bacon, sausage, chorizo or a mixed meat option for $ 2 more. The burrito was $ 6 which wasn’t too bad. I ordered it to go so I could grab some coffee elsewhere and they also added a generous portion of tortilla chips in my bag. The burrito itself was pretty good. I thought it was just a tad on the soft to mushy side. I think it was because of the potatoes since they weren’t as crisp as those used in other breakfast burritos. I think hash browns are a good choice most of the time which these weren’t. Other than that, it was still enjoyable. It came with two tubs of salsa, one red and the other green. If you want to eat outside, they do have tables and chairs on the sidewalk. They also conveniently accept credit cards. It’s a chill place serving traditional Mexican fare and I will most likely come back again to try some of the dishes that are tomato-based which is one of my favorites.

So I was SOOOOOOO disappointed with my breakfast burrito :( First off I ordered a bacon n sausage breakfast burrito, and ordered it togo… When I got to the car and opened my container I noticed it had no eggs!!! Who sales a breakfast burrito with no eggs… So I went back and complained… I watched how they only cracked ONEFREAKINGEGG in the sauce pan. Then dumped the insides of my burrito on the flat grill to mixed everything together OOOHHHELLLLLLLNOOOOOO… And to make matters worst the cook had NOGLOVESON… So of course I simply asked for my money back. Over it!!!

Two words…“Breakfast Burritos” I haven’t had anything else here(lol) but if it’s anything near as good as their«Breakfast Burrito» then I’m all for it. You wouldn’t expect a cool, lowkey, and welcoming Mexican restaurant to be in the area since it’s near the Grove and all those upscale restaurants. I’ll fasure will be back to explore the menu.

* love hole-in-the-wall restaurants * * located on fairfax ave, not far from the grove * i love breakfast burritos! give me a choice of a high-end breakfast/brunch or a breakfast burrito, i would most likely choose the breakfast burrito. called in to order before arriving to cut down on wait time since i was hungry! told them that we would like to eat in when we got there. service was friendly and prompt. got chips, salsa, and iced water to start. bacon breakfast burrito was hot and fresh.(not the best i’ve ever had but a good option in the area) ask for the habanero salsa but be sure to go easy on it. a few drops are quite numbing. start out slowly even though they provide you with a spoon for it. the look of the salsa is deceiving since it’s not red or green but man, it’s got some kick! metered street parking available. food and service was fast that we spent less than 50 cents.
