Garcia’s Barber Shop

If you are looking to get a great haircut at a affordable price, Garcia’s Barber shop is the way to go. There prices vary depending on what type of hair style you decided to get, but the prices remain incredibly affordable. I went yesterday to get my haircut and was charged 13 dollars for a full haircut. I got a taper, line up, and a design for 13 bucks. It doesn’t get any cheaper than that. Garcia’s Barber Shop is located around the corner of Hoover and Venice. You can make an appointment with a barber or you can simply walk in and get attended. I recommend calling ahead and setting up an appointment, it saves a lot of time.
The place was renovated just recently. It has a very modern and clean cut look. All the appliances are brand new, including seats, desks, TV’s, and their is also some vending machines. The tile is always kept nice and shiny. It looks like a very well kept Barber shop. Compared to other shops were there seems to be cramped together. The shop is very spacious and is air conditioned at all times. The environment makes the costumer feel comfortable. Since the barber shop is kept very clean, their will be a nice and fresh smell. The gel they put on their customers after they finish has a very minty smell to it. It’s pretty pointless to put gel, because you are going to shower, but nonetheless it is a nice gesture.
The Barber chairs are also very comfortable to sit in. So as your barber is cutting your hair, you’ll be sitting in a very cushioned and spacious seat. Which also leads me to the service. The barbers do a very great job. They take their time on each customer they serve. They are very careful when they use their equipment. As I have experienced with other barbershops, they seem to always be in a rush. As a result they are a bit rough on cutting your hair. I’ve been cut multiple times with other barbershops. In this barber shop it is different, they are very careful with the safety of the customer. As well as making sure the customer is satisfied with the haircut and the service they received.
Since the barber shops have a couple flat screen TV’s, you will mostly be hearing whatever they decide to put on the screen. Some times they let the customer choose something, which I find quite special to this barber shop. If you aren’t hearing the television, you will most likely hear the barber talk to their customers. Like any other barbershop in Los Angeles, Barbers love to talk. Which is completely fine because they talk about topics that we as costumers can relate to.
The only thing I would suggest for this shop, is for them to hire a couple more barbers. Since the shop is getting a bit more known, there is hardly time to make an appointment with a barber. If you do a walk in, you most likely aren’t getting a haircut that day. Hiring a couple more people would help the shop more in terms of efficiency. Apart from that, this is a very great barber shop. I really recommend this shop, for those looking for great quality work for a reasonable price. ⁵⁄₅ stars.

The haircuts are good but the waiting time can be a bit long depends on the day that you go but always have had to wait 45 – 1 hour even when there aren’t that many people

Just got my haircut here for the first time. Awesome haircut for the right price. Awesome fade. Why pay 30 $ for a haircut when you can get the same quality minus the hot towel for ¹⁄₃ of the price. Great staff.

Love this place. JC is a great barber and person. I’ve switched barbers several of times. Went to Garcia’s and outstanding work. Highly recommended.

My husband and sons have been going to Juan Carlos for years. His work is great and we will keep going to him for years to come. If you walk in there is a long wait so if you don’t want to wait MAKE A APPOINTMENT! So if you want quality work at a reasonable price I highly recommend this barbershop
