Really great carne asada tacos and mexican coke! Tacos better than other places with really dry meat. Also this place makes fresh fruit and vegetables juices hence the name

All my friends that I sent there lives it as well. Oh… And the juices are phenomenal I love them all especially number 14 on the menu«yogurt delight» Will be back soon for more

I found out about this place while looking for ceviche and I swear they have some of the best ceviche for an affordable price. The torta de milanesa is a must have as well. Every time I go, I make sure to bring a friend to spread the word on how delicious and affordable the food is here.

with all this«cold press» juicing spreading like disease in downtown, it’s hard to find a place with a real juicer and under 5 bucks no less.(i don’t think it’s right to charge people $ 10 for a cups worth of whatever’s been«extracted» from greens and veggies) i love this place — they remember you. they deliver. try the tacos dorados made with chicken breast. they serve them with guacamole, chile, sour cream and cheese and beans and rice. despite what people think/say about the food that’s kept hot, it’s actually made fresh ever day… the earlier the better. it gets packed during lunch hours. i give it 4 because i got their mixed green salad once and regretted not getting my juice. stick to the hot foods.

A tamale, eggs ranchero style, sipping on freshly squeezed OJ. Not bad… then for lunch I’m on the freshly squeezed Watermelon! Good for a quick breakfast bite, Mexican style.

Just tried this spot for the first time after two referrals. It’s pretty good! I ordered a torta de milanesa: it was overall good but was a little dry. could have used more mayo but just added some more salsa and that worked for me. The meat was really good, a lot of time there’s chewy parts on milanesa but this one had no fat, it was perfect. I would have given 5 stars if the place was kept a little tidier. I counted 7 tables that had not been cleaned off yet. There is a lot of seating so it wasn’t a problem to find a clean table but having 7 tables full of dirty dishes was kinda gross. One of the employees didn’t come out to clean it till about 15 min after I had arrived. Overall the food was good and I will come back again. my friends tell me the breakfast is really good so I want to see for myself. co

I used to come here a lot for their chilaquiles in the morning. I wasn’t a fan of the red ones, but I fell in love with the green ones so I kept coming back for them, even though they turned out to be a bit inconsistent when it came to the quality. Maybe they had different people making the food on certain days. For the most part, they usually got it right. I had to stop coming here for a while due to money, since they started upping the prices. I may just go on my pay-day or when I’m craving their green chilaquiles for breakfast. As for their lunch, depending on what you get, it can be a hit or miss. The tortas are ok and the garlic shrimp are pretty tasty, but leave you smelling like garlic the rest of the day if you’re not careful. Overall, if you’re looking for a quick bite, and you’re craving mexican, you may wanna try this place.

I disagree with everyone claiming this place is sub-par. This is what REAL Mexican Food tastes like: juicy, tender, meat with a nice kick and fresh ingredients. I had a machaca torta, and it was everything I hoped it would be. The salsa, juice from the beef, and beans created a nice sauce that soaked into the bread as a french dip sandwich would. This was comfort food at its best, and all for only $ 5. A much better bet than Chipotle on your lunch break.

Just went here for lunch today. Definitely below par. Orded a Bean and Cheese burrito and a carne asada taco. Both were bland. The Carne Asada was dried out/overcooked and they didn’t put the mild taco sauce on it that I specifically asked for. The burrito beans were old and they use that crappy white cheddar. All this fail for $ 5.50. No thanks, never again.

I stumbled upon this restaurant when my appointment cancelled on me and I was craving for Mexican food. It’s not located exactly in a nice neighborhood as it is in the historic core of old LA downtown. I had to pass a couple homeless asking for changes before I walked from the jewelry district to the restaurant. The menu was 80% Spanish. I ordered the Seven Sea Soup by pointing to the picture. It was good, but not great. I was the only Asian in the restaurant amid 10 – 20 Hispanic customers eating there. They were all watching the Spanish langauge TV while eating. However, people, including customers, were friendly and smiled at me. The cashier offered a piece of pork for me to try. Honestly, it was just ok because it was overdone. The bill came out $ 7, a bargain in downtown!

First off, this is not a restaurant that I would go out of my way for. However, this place does hold some value. … My friend and I went to a Lakers game a couple weeks ago and got to downtown early. With a couple hours to kill, we thought we’d look for a random«dive» to get some cheap drinks. We forgot to take into account that a lot of the bars don’t open until later. We kept passing by a lot of high end bars and restaurants that were too pricey just for the sake of getting a good buzz. Luckily, we stumbled upon The Garden Juice. Long story short … we had four beers, a huge plate of nachos, and six tacos, and the bill didn’t come out to that much. I can’t say much for the crowd on that Sunday evening. There were some nuns that came in, and a small family. The place was pretty empty. They have a lot of food ready to go under heat lamps, or you can order dishes that they have to make. There is no waiter service. You basically order, grab a table, and return to pick up your food when it’s ready. There is a lot of seating, and there’s a small T.V. towards the front(which had Mexican programming when we were there). The nachos were great, and the serving size was huge. I provided pictures. The beef tacos were delicious, but God damn were they spicy! I couldn’t eat my last one because my tongue was on fire. My buddy tapped out, too, from the heat. In summary, if you want to avoid to flashy, well dressed, expensive, L.A. crowd, then this is the perfect place to stop at before you go to some kind of function/event in the downtown area. The food is good, they have beer, and the price is right. It’s probably not the best place to take a date, but for a night out on the town with the fellas, you can’t go wrong.

It’s 12:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon and this place is totally dead. We were planning on eating here but decided to walk in, use the ATM and leave, erring on the side of caution. As big as this place is, there was absolutely no one here except the three people sleeping behind the counter. The food crusting under the heat lamps didn’t help either. To be fair, I’m giving it three stars since we didn’t get a chance to try anything here. Instead, I headed to KFC a block away.

A bolio is Mexican roll, but more than that it is an experience, Walking by a great Mexican bakery I am drawn like an addict inside. Sometimes I will buy some just so I can walk with my nose in bag, intoxicated by the alluring aroma. But this is not the case at Garden Juice, the Tortas taste like something died in your sandwich, not only is it the terrible bolio, but the Al pastor meat inside is akin to insects crawling across the lettuce. No good, yuk, bad, crap, No no. My friends tacos? not much better, this place may have been good when water flowed on Mars. Am I getting my point across? Even at 4 Bucks this is no deal, the tortas come with macaroni salad(taste like ass) and if this place was in middle of Wyoming it might worthwhile but a few blocks from the grand central market? I will never cross their door again, ever.
