Cool spot for lunch. Variety of different food trucks every Tuesday. I would recommend coming earlier rather than later. Even though the they are scheduled to stay until 3:00, some trucks start to take off early and the tables and chairs get put away earlier as well as the lunch rush dies out(usually around 2). Been here a few times already and I have to say that I haven’t really enjoyed anything too much. Nothing I would order again, but I’m hopeful that one of these times I’ll find something great. Tried: Jogasaki Truck — 3 Stars(pretty good sushi«burritos») Funky Chef Café Truck — 3 Stars(decent asada burrito) Mapuche Argentinian — 1 Star(mediocre empanadas, owner has terrible attitude)

Good selection, and great idea. Went for the first time and had a selection of 5 trucks available.

Nice break from the boring restaurants in and around LAX! Each week a different set of food trucks graces the Gateway to Go Food Truck Lot. I have a standing lunch date every Tuesday! See you tomorrow!

I love that these food trucks come once a week! Otherwise there is not much to choose from at lunch when you work in the area. The selection is a mixed bag so what you find depends on what is there on a given day. Sometimes the selection is great, sometimes meh. Usually there is something delicious to eat so overall I’m happy they come by!

Tuesdays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 5985 W. Century Boulevard Delightful find blocks from LAX, right off W Century Blvd. In this small parking lot I found 5 food trucks with room for more, and maybe 10 picnic tables to share with excited strangers as you discover whatever meals were just dished from your truck of choice. They have lots of trash cans, recycling bins, and even Purell wipes!!! This is such a gem, it’s sad that the trucks don’t come more than once a week. Of note, there is an employee of the«Gateway business district» that stays visible and keeps an eye on things. Presumably to make sure the trucks follow whatever rules there are for the weekly event and the diners are safe. Love it.

This was a decent place to get some grub. Flight cancelled and stuck in L.A. for a couple days due to the January Blizzard of 2015(a blizzard which never happened BTW)!!! I found accommodations at the Sheraton adjacent to this lot. I was hungry, angry, I was hangry! I turned to Unilocal, and there it was… Gateway to Go Food Truck Lot. Wait… only there on Tuesday a Unilocaler commented! WAIT! It WAS Tuesday! I scurried on over to the lot and saw about 5 colorful food trucks. I had a good lunch and with renewed vigor, I set out to Venice beach, to display my newly acquired paunch. If I am ever in L.A. and my flight is cancelled on a Tuesday, I would come here again.

When I first started working here a few years ago there seemed to be more trucks. Now the same ones keep coming. It would be nice for some more variety. Maybe the novelty is wearing off? Meals can be pricey. They range from $ 10-$ 20 depending on what you get. Canned sodas are around $ 2. Either way, bring cash if you can because a lot of the vendors charge for using Credit/Debit Cards.

Horrible parking. Horrible lines with long wait times. Dingy parking lot. A lot of trucks posted on their website end up not showing. A disappointment… won’t be going back.

For people who work near the airport, this is going to be as close as you can be to gourmet food! Every week different trucks come but there are a few trucks that show up quite frequently including Indian trucks and Vietnamese trucks and White Rabbit(Philippines fusion), etc. Depending on the trucks, you can get a decent meal for about or a bit over $ 10.

Inconsistent from week to week. Some trucks don’t make it there. Too much duplication on things like fries. To find a parking spot you need to get there just when it opens and frequently the trucks are not ready for customers. This leads to a long wait when they tell you«our stuff’s not ready to cook». If you show up in the middle of the lunch hour, there is no parking, but there are plenty of lines. To get the right mix of food, one needs to buy from more than one truck. That sets up mulitple lines in which to wait or friends scattered around the trucks waiting for orders to come out. Many of the trucks are really slow for being a «fast food» concept. Tables and chairs in the eating area are busy. The throwback disco couple who played there are gone, so it isn’t even entertaining any more. There are places all around Lawndale, Westchester, Lennox and Hawthorne that offer really good and diverse and unique cuisine — with ample free parking. Price, time spent and food quality all suffer here. Eating off your lap when the tables get full is BS.

I’m not terribly thrilled with the truck rotation at this lot. My favorites rarely show up here. And the regular trucks are so-so. So-so Indian, so-so Korean tacos, so-so Middle Eastern… There’s usually 5 or 6 trucks scheduled, including one dessert or drink truck, though it’s common for 1 or 2 to not show up. And they supposedly open at 11, but there’s always a truck or 3 that are lagging. What’s nice is there are a few tables set up and free street parking is available(i.e. you may not get a spot right next to the lot, but you won’t have to walk more than a block or so).

I like the concept, every Tuesday with around 5 trucks. Here’s the downfall. Most every truck serves a variation of tacos or fries. After a few weeks of going to this, I got tired of pretty much the same food. And you end up spending at least $ 10 minimum on mediocre food and questionable portions. My favorite was the Argentine truck. Tasty and very proportional. I heard the 80’s couple who has about 8 songs in their playlist no longer plays there. What a bummer. They were amusing.

The Gateway To Go god truck lot next to the Crowne Plaza is a great place to go for lunch on Tuesdays if you are in the area. Besides conflicting with my Taco Tuesday lunch spots, it was a welcomed addition to the area in which I worked. There is a large variety of food trucks that participate, and every week there of a new lineup of offerings. The parking can be hectic around lunch time, but if you work at any of the nearby offices, it is quite convenient. There are alot of people to meet and mingle with, and to share food with, to get a taste of what all these mobile eateries have to offer. There is also a couple who are usually there, providing often off-key musical performances… There is plenty of seating both in the sun and in the shade. All I can say is come on down and try out some new eats. It beats driving around Los Angeles to track down individual trucks. There is a schedule of what trucks are attending and when on their website.

I’ve been to this Food Truck Lot a few times now and each time, it’s been good. I always get there between 11 and 11:30 so I avoid the crowd that starts to build closer to noon(plus, when you get there closer to noon and you have to drive to get here, parking can be sort of an issue unless you don’t mind a little walk). On the last visit, the White Rabbit, No Reservation and Sweet-E trucks were all good. And if you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years and don’t know too much about the food truck scene in LA, it is a little more pricey than your typical roach coach but the food is so much better. Overall, it’s just a great change from some of my typical lunch spots.

So this is known as the«Century or LAX Food Truck Lot». It was nearly impossible to find. The address that was tweeted 5998 W. 98th St. Los Angeles took me to a lot/parking structure, valet parking only area just up the road. Reading my fried Hugo C’s review right now as I type this since it is showing up on the side, if I would have done my research beforehand(IE: reading his review) I would have known to look for the trucks in the Crown Plaza Hotel Lot. What a Useful review your wrote HC. Anyway…You can find the Trucks on the«backside» of the Crown Plaza parking lot that faces 98th St. Address: 5985 Century Blvd I guess this happens every Tuesday during lunch. 11/11:30−3pm Tables, chairs and umbrellas are set up for dining. Now this is food trucking it up in style. Oh and there was also a live duo singing some tunes. And the kicker… they take requests.

This is great! I came by here yesterday at 1:30pm. There were 5 trucks out and there was hardly any lines for any of them. I was able to hit 2 trucks. Hurray! I’m glad that there is a weekly food truck meet-up close to home now. Parking is on the street and free. Can’t wait to come by next Tuesday to check out the trucks.

Parking will be a pain but its sorta worth it if you’re on the westsde and looking for something different for lunch! I recently went with the coworkers around noon and man was this place packed. Each truck had a line that was at least 10 people deep and the most popular trucks of the day had 20 – 30 people in line. Pros: — Variety of food. The trucks change every week so you get something different. — Free entertainment, and on a nice sunny day with some live music and outdoor seating isn’t too bad either. — Get out for under $ 10! If I am eating out and spending under $ 10 for lunch, I’m a happy camper. Cons: — Lines can be long. Peak time seems to be 12 – 1. The street parking on 98th St. freed up around 1PM, so if you can wait till then you’ll save yourself from hunting for parking and the longer lines.

*** Wanna drive, find prkg, order food from a truck … *** Only to eat it at a portable communal table in a prkg lot? Well yes, apparently, b/c that’s what I did for lunch today. Every Tues several trucks stop here to serve 11am-3pm. Today the line-up included: Crêpe’n Around … a selection of gourmet crepes Versuvio … Italian sandwiches and entrees King Kone … Ice cream Lee’s Philly … Philly cheesesteak and«Gogi» tacos Reggae Chicken … Jamaican food I did the Marley burrito from Reggae Chicken. It consists of white rice, black beans, cilantro, plantains, a lil chopped onions, jerk sauce, and grilled chicken.(wow) That was a huge burrito. It was also a unique combo of items. It was tangy and sweet and filling all at the same time. I liked it. *** I think I will try the crepes next time. They look good too. ***

At lunchtime every Tuesday, food vehicles will join an event outside the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Century Boulevard. For it’s debut, there were: Buttermilk Truck Don Chow Kabob n Roll India Jones Nom Nom Komodo World Fare Reggae Chicken South Philly Experience Edit Event Details There will be different trucks each week. Parking was not hard to find. There was lots of parking on the street. And free! Also. the lines were not too long considering our group showed up at 1. There was still a wait. but not as bad as I expected it to be. Longest wait would have been from the buttermilk truck. Another plus was that there were places for you to sit. They put out benches and chairs. and there were areas in the grass. I’d come back here. but maybe around 2… so there aren’t as many people. Although, some of my co-workers were here at 11 and they also said the lines weren’t bad. Check back every week for listings of new trucks
