Gatten sushi is under new management, which is fan-fucking-tastic. New décor new menu, it has ramen, very tasty ramen.

Lunch on Friday, 9÷11÷15 There usually isn’t a line for lunch during the week. It also accounts for the empty conveyor belt of sushi plates. The servers are somewhat attentive but have no fear, there’s a button here to call for assistance. I ordered the inari(sweet rice in a beancurd roll), squid sushi, and the chicken udon since I don’t see these items in the revolving conveyor belt. They were all pretty good except I didn’t eat the chicken in the udon. I expected the chicken to be grilled but it was fried. They have interesting items on the revolving belt such as the yogurt drinks you find in grocery stores, California rolls covered in sesame seeds, and sushi spring rolls. All the other foods were alright. Nothing spectacular. I’d come back again for a quick lunch if I’m craving mediocre sushi.

By far the worst sushi I have ever eaten. 2 stars because they have great servers.

First revolving sushi bar! My cousin went looking for sul and beans(didnt find it until we had finished eating here) and got hungry/lost so we wondered in here. The chefs and waiters are nice. They validate for parking! Ate about 7 dishes and paid 35 dollars including the tip! This place is a must in ktown. Sushi is also bomb! My favorite was the spicy tuna chrunch something! Plates are on the 2.50 menu are good and have lots of variety which are divided by type of fish. my cousin described the shrimp section as shrimp heaven(she doesnt like regular sashimi or rolls). It tasted so fresh. Lol i will come back to get more spicy tuna.

I love this place for nigiri. $ 2.50 for two good raw shrimp! Also my favorite is uni $ 2.50 for one. Fresh and good taste. This place will be my go place. One thing i want them to improve is waitress’s energy. I wish they are little more high energy and bright lifting welcoming manner. If that, i can give this place five star…

I don’t know what to say about this place… I guess it’s good for a quick bite. Fish isn’t really fresh. Unagi was cold, usually warm is better. I just thought the overall quality of the fish wasn’t great.

Very friendly, lots of variety, good quality sushi, nice peaceful atmosphere, and close to the metro subway plus affordable.

I just dont understand people who expects the quality high but the prices low? Not sure how that logic works. The sushi here is just fine. The chefs do a fine job with what they get and I never got sick any of the times I’ve been. It’s apparent they’re having trouble with hiring proper staff though(waiter/waitresses) with enough experience to manage customers properly. Always a new face greeting me when I do end up filling my craving for sushi! Tldr; food is good, service needs work. If you can deal with it go get some sushi!

The waitress is very nice. The food come fast. Good location, cheap price and you got what you pay for the quality of food. It’s not a bad choice for a quick & easy lunch at Wil-tern area.

I moved out of ktown since I reviewed this place so I’ve been itching to go back. a few weeks ago, I decided to bring my boys back for a quick bite before poker night. I don’t know if management changed, but it has slipped considerably. there’s a big banner that says«all plates 2.50»; as opposed to how it used to be — different color plates ranging from 2.50 to 3.00 to 3.50. but the very first thing I noticed was a sign on the menu that said — except pink plates, 3.50, which is really deceptive. the quality isn’t the same, the food took forever to come out, and it was a mission getting our server’s attention. really too bad, used to love this place.

The food was decent, but the service was terrible. We walked in and stood there for about 5 minutes without being attended, even though the place was more than half empty, until I asked an employee for assistance. About ten minutes after being seated, we had to ask the server to take our drink order because they never came around to ask. What helped were the chefs who were a bit more attentive to the people that were sitting at the bar. Food wise, I recommend they add a sauce for the chicken katsu. Other than that, the rolls I tried were good.

This restaurant it’s ok and fair for the prices. Don’t come here to expect having a really nice sushi with quality, because it’s cheap. Plates are just $ 2.50. It’s good when you want something cheap, fast and healthier than fast foods. Plus: Manager and waitress were very friendly! So hard to find people who work like them. Nice service!

Come here Quite often. I would say its more of a Lunch than Dinner place. Its cheap sushi and you basically get what you pay for. Pro’s — They Validate Parking for 2hrs its around the corner in a lower parking structure — its cheap and the plates are small enough so you get to try more of the menu usually getting 2 – 3 rolls per plates –they have happy hour! –staff is very friendly and attentive to your drinks Cons — you wont get much quiet time as the chef’s are always welcoming the new guests with a loud hello & when they bring out a new plate so if your wanting a quiet place this is not for you — Yeah sometimes the sushi is cold because its been revolving for quite some time but you can just ask a chef for a hot one and they will make it.(Has happened to me a couple times) — Its right in the middle of k town so other guests might be disruptive(speaking from experience only) Overall I’d say check it out during lunch hour before you decide to bring someone along. I invited my friend once she wasnt too pleased but i still go every now & then.

I love this place! The sushi is aways fresh and the selection is great! We love the fun of selecting off the revolving belt but you can order as well. It’s really reasonably priced and quite tasting!

The price for the sushi, and the happy hour are appealing, but the place has a very odd smell? Towards the front of the establishment there’s a strange sewage odor.(Not sure who to talk to about that). The sushi was alright for the price you pay, but the establishment is understaffed and inattentive. They’ve got these buttons you can press to call them over, and although I clearly heard it ring, they must’ve not heard it, or knew it was our table. Also the button was broken, so you could only press it with a chop stick? The food isn’t bad, just the service is kind of frustrating. Both servers tended to sigh a lot, and subtley groan whenever we asked for service. I’m sure they must’ve been stressed since there were only two of them though. Overall 2 stars, it’s just kind of a hassle to eat there.

Needed a quick bite, hadn’t got chance to eat breakfast since ran out of house this morning. Found this spot while at Solair building for some business, needed to eat and they didn’t disappoint. I’m sure not everything here could be great but everything I had was fulfilling and good!!! Most revolving sushi spots don’t have their rice just right, but wasn’t case here, it was perfect and blended in well with your bite of meaty fish. Started with Philly roll, balance amount of fish to cream cheese, scallop roll was great with a good bite, yellowtail yuzu nice and meaty with balance taste, crunch spicy tuna, salmon sushi, Taco Roll, shrimp tempura lolll and on yea I had 9 plates. By far my favorite was the Spring Roll that was wrapped in rice paper with California, Salmon and Avocados and no rice, just perfect, def a request if u can’t find it on the belt. Huge plus, the guys and lady chefs were very attentive and always making sure I cook find what I want or to make me something. Coming back soon for another 19 next time

Idk why they’ve gotten so many bad reviews… I had a great experience here. Cheap sushi, cheap bowls, good Japanese beer… what else do you want?! U get what u pay for. The hostess greeted us, and our waitresses were very friendly and attended to us whenever we needed something. The sushi plates are $ 2.50 each. They have other specialty plates that vary in price, but all pretty affordable. We got four plates of sushi, two bowls, and two beers and it was $ 36…the beers were a little pricey $ 8 each but it was Kawaba Japanese beer, soo good and refreshing… We will definitely return!

Been here three times. Fights almost broke out twice between the staff and customers. To be fair, both times the customers had more than their fair share of alcohol and started to get belligerent with the staff. Still, I don’t think that the staff were properly trained to handle such situations. Onto the food. Decent for what it is… conveyer belt sushi that runs across the belt for a while. The prices are fair and the service is good, so there’s that. So I’m a habitual Unilocaler and it’s been a while since I’d finished my reviews. Lots of catching up to do but this is my third one and I’m already boring myself out. No more wit left for the moment. This place is ok. I mean, if you’re like 16 – 22 and you’re on a «special» date to impress with no job and your parents’ Amex… ok, this might be an option for you. Otherwise, you can be like me and feel like rolling the dice with cheap sushi for you and a friend and don’t feel like traversing all the way to crazy fish in beverly hills. I lost my place. I’m done.
