The food is outstanding Always fresh and yummy! Service is good. They use the best ingredients. My kids love George’s Greek café.

Fabulous Greek food! For lunch, I love to order the Greek sald with beef/lamb gyros on top. With pita slices and tzatziki sauce, it’s a tasty and filling treat! Only wish they would throw in a few more Greek olives. Otherwise, this is my favorite food truck in Santa Monica.

George’s culinary battlewagon looks extra long compared to most other food trucks, allowing them to accommodate a wide selection of Mediterranean-style foodstuffs inside and ample transport for cartoon warriors painted on the outside. These cute little dudes are presumably prepared to assail your hunger. I was only looking for a quick bite, so I decided to declare an informal war on a classic beef and lamb gyro. Roasted on spits, the shaved meat is super-savory and powerfully flavorful. Extra tomatoes would have been nice, but I’ll ask for more next time, since the staff seem pretty nice here. Aside from that, the meat was tasty, the wrap was soft, and the gyro stood no chance. After winning this initial skirmish, I’m open to future conquests, perhaps a war on two fronts against a kabob and a side of falafel. Maybe I will eventually lay siege to one of their appetizing salads. Whatever healthy and organic entrees I face, I’m sure my delicious campaign at George’s Greek Truck will continue soon.

The only thing worse than expensive food is expensive, crappy food. George’s Greek Truck sells both. $ 9(my mind is reeling) for a super lemon chicken sandwich. Get a load of this: the contents of my lavash completely fell out of the bottom leaving a sloppy, wet mess. Dry chicken, soggy lavash. I was excited to see a truck slinging Greek food in LA because it’s one of my favorite cuisines, but their goods are poorly executed. Overpriced, especially for the quality. Pass on this truck.

I happened to be in downtown at the time and I was in between jobs. I was hungry and happened on upon a few food trucks. I was craving Greek food and decided to give this place a try. After I decided to order, the cashier guy said that the card machine was down which was almost a big disappointment to me. He said we can try to which I had my hopes up. Sure enough, my card worked! Yay! My card was the first to work! There was a good line to follow me once everyone knew that the truck was accepting cards again. I had a very filling meal and hope I will see the truck whenever I am in downtown again.

I WAS a big fan of their Greek Salad. Large, appropriately-priced and made with quality ingredients. …but the last time I ordered it, it was pretty much just a box of iceberg lettuce. NEXT!

George’s Greek Truck often graces downtown, Los Angeles. For under $ 10, you can get a pretty good gyro sandwich. The meat is flavorful and tender. There’s often a wait, but the food comes out within a reasonable time.

I give it three stars because it depends what you get. I just have to say it through me off when I walked up to the truck and they were bumping Pit Bull, LOL. It helps if you speak SPANISH when ordering. That being said, I liked the Spanikopita, greek fries seasoning, and dolmas. Not so impressed with prices of food(seemed to be a dollar or two more than it should be), and some of the food seemed frozen and thawed? the pitas didnt seem fresh, or the fries.

I got the lamb & beef gyro with a side salad, came to a little over $ 8. I thought the price was VERY reasonable considering food trucks always seem very high priced. In addition, the portion was very generous. They were at the Fig+7th farmers market that they have on Thursdays and the line was the shortest out of all the food places. They got the food out very quickly and I found a nice table to eat my lunch at. Not sure if I would track this truck down, but I would definitely eat there again.

The Salmon Spinachi was something special: salmon topped with a spinach/feta cheese mixture and then blackened on top. YUM! My entrée was pricey($ 13) but I also got pita bread, rice, and salad in the deal and the salmon was very much worth it. Sometimes it pays to try the thing that no one else is ordering! On Wednesdays at 7th and Fig, there is also a band playing, so that kind of added to the fun. All in all, a fun lunchtime excursion!

I finally went to the DTLA Art Walk and this truck was one of many on the food truck lot at the corner of 3rd and Spring Street. After walking around with our group, I decided to order a beef and lamb gyro with fries here at this super sized truck. It was so much larger than all the other trucks which was somewhat impressive. It didn’t take too long to get my order and what I got was a nice sized gyro with beef and lamb and lettuce but after taking a few bites, I thought it tasted a little dry. I finally resorted to going back and asking for a tub of tzitziki sauce which they were happy to give me. It helped a bit but I suspect the tzitziki sauce was made of sour cream instead of yogurt because it wasn’t as viscous as I would have liked it to be. The fries were average, slightly crispy, nothing to write home about. It was cool to be able to pay with a credit card which a lot of the trucks are doing now which really makes it convenient. Would I eat here again? Not sure I would, especially with all the other trucks that are available selling superb fare although some of the plates w/rice looked inviting. So if you like gyros, this is a truck for you…

This place passed my first test for any Greek restaurant(the lamb meat must be taken directly from the rotisserie. You would be surprised how many places miss this concept!) Try the Gyros stuffed with french fries. True Greek style!

The truck is parked right outside my work, so it was only a matter of time. I got the large lamb and beef gyro, which comes with tomatoes, cucumbers, a couple fries, and some sauce all wrapped in a giant pita. I ate half and was completely stuffed. It left me feeling really full, so I’m not sure how often I’d go back, but it’s good for leftovers or if you’re really hungry. As a side-note, one of the guys working there was very nice, which is always good when you’re buying food out of a truck.

TRUCK: Nice and clean, which is always a plus. Grand ave. FOOD Beef&Lamb plate: It was okay — came with rice, salad and yogurt. It was a lot of food so I’m saving leftovers for tomorrow. $ 10. Maybe next time I should try the fries everyone is raving about. SERVICE Given the long line, my food was ready within minutes.

In contrast to the majority of reviewers, I was extremely satisfied with the gyro and fries that I purchased from George’s Greek at Crafted(Port of LA). The wait wasn’t too bad, even though the lady in front ordered a ton it seems. The guy taking the order was friendly and accommodating, politely answering any questions I had about the various dishes. The gyro meat was thick, tender, juicy, and overall delicious. The portion size was more than decent compared to Daphne’s. Sure you’re paying a few dollars more, but the sheer size and taste is worth it. The fries were also exceptional in my mind. Crispy and cut about the right size. Whatever seasoning they put on the fries was just fantastic. I would definitely come back for more and try their other entrees.

Not sure why so many one stars for this truck. While nothing amazing, the lamb was tender and seasoned. The pita was fluffy, and came with a decent amount of meat and typical toppings. Given the dearth of food options near my office I would welcome this replacing the truck that parks across the street.

Was hungry so decided why not a Greek FoodTruck! Lol, it’s been awhile since I’ve had Greek food so I walked across the street from the E3 convention — looked at the menu ordered at gyro $ 7 and add fries for $ 1 more. Few minutes later my order was up. Gyro meat was seasoned well — looks like they need to add more meat as it only half filled my pita. Fries were seasoned pretty good too. I passed on getting the feta cheese they offered to be sprinkled on my fries. Wasn’t bad just wished they would have given me more meat for $ 7! Oh well.

All I can saw is what a rip this place is! I ordered the lemon chicken plate, which was supposed to come with chicken, salad, pita, hummus, and your choice of rice or french fries. I asked for mine with salad instead of rice or fries. For $ 10, I got chicken(which actually wasn’t too too bad — a little dry) and a tiny salad, like literally ¼ cup of lettuce, with some soggy pita bread — no hummus, no extra salad. To make things worse, they put the pita bread under the chicken so it was soaked. Yuck. It was nowhere near being worth $ 10, and it took forever to get, despite the fact that there was one other person who ordered before me. I felt ripped off. I also agree with Gina R. — the guy that works there with the sunglasses is gross and slimy. I don’t feel good giving my money to him and I hate to think that I could possibly be supporting his Ed Hardy habit. While I was waiting for my order, I heard him trying to hit on a girl and what he was saying nearly made me crawl out of my skin. Ugh. Never again George’s!

Looks like this truck is by the George’s Greek Café folks(whose restaurants I love), so I’m sad to give this review. Tried their truck at the Formula Drift event in LB, because they had the least painful line. Ordered safe stuff –chicken gyro sandwich with fries and chicken souvlaki skewers with a side of rice. The rice and fries were good. The sandwich was fine but a bit scantily stuffed(unlike when you get it at their restaurant). The reason for the 2 stars is because my chicken souvlaki skewers were raw. I think I threw away 1 whole skewer(out of the 2 for $ 6) because the larger chunks were soft and raw. It was even obvious to the touch that they were raw. The line was too long and it was so bloody hot, so I couldn’t be bothered to walk back to swap it out. Raw chicken=dangerous folks!

Randomly decided to try George’s Greek Café Food Truck at Sunny Hills High School’s annual fundraiser yesterday. I had never seen or heard of George’s, but the smell drew my group of friends over as soon as they opened. We ordered the Spanikopites(their spelling), the Lamb Gyro sandwich, the Feta fries, the Chicken Skewers, and the Spicy Crispy Chicken sandwich. The 4 bite-sized spanikopites(a little over $ 3) weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they were good. The Chicken Skewers were so-so and I’m told the Spicy Crispy chicken sandwich was the same. Overall, nothing mind-blowing here, but it was good honest food with a price to match. The Feta fries outdid my expectations. Aside from the feta, they were seasoned well. My favorite out of the mix was the gyro sandwich. The meat was cooked very well and the portion was well worth the price(around $ 6). The only gripe I would have was that the onions were very sharp– a problem easily fixed by knocking the extras off.
