Glass Hookah Lounge

I have only tried the hookah and the tea. The tea is nothing to write home about, but the hookah is amazing! Really smooth and comes in a cool glass hookah. It’s a cool indoor spot, even though I prefer outdoor hookah spots. Good service too. It is pricey for a hookah so def not a regular hookah spot, but cool nevertheless.

I don’t get it. Pictures look great. Ordered in from this place and couldn’t finish the meal. 4 wings were so over cooked they were crunchy all the way through like Captain Crunch. The rest were incredibly tough like jerky. The flat bread was wet and soggy, as if they only used cheese and forgot the crispy dough. First time I ever had to call back for a refund. I mean, I never send food back at restaurants. This was just shameful.
Eat 24 saved me and got the refund.

The best hooka place in LA! These guys make special hookas for every taste. Perfect customer service, nice stuff. Many thanks to our waiter Nikita, he made our evening, this guy knows his job. 100% recommended place.

Excellent place. Small and coZy. Service never had better. They asked us countless times if we needed anything. Great staff, great Caesar salad, great hookah. Overall a 5star experience and recommend to everyone far and near. Worth the drive!!!

Amazing time at GHL! If you’re looking for great food, incredible ambiance and fast, hospitable service — this is the spot. We had so many flavors to choose from and all of them were so different– they also serve different packages as well as fumari and star buzz. If you come ask for Nick and Madi! Nick was so on point — constantly refilling our hookah and checking on us consistently and even offering advice for new hookah refills and Madi was so attentive and kind and let us take our time while we chose ! Most places make you feel rushed and overwhelmed. Not here. Nick and Madi — thank you. We will definitely be back :)

Dope selections, cool hookahs and amazing service. The ambience is chic. Gorgeous chandeliers. The décor is gothic Great Gatsby. The hookah pod is very unique in design, great pictures for Instagram.

This place might be sick as a hookah lounge, but if you are a sane human do not order delivery from them.

If you are on eat 24 don’t do it! Just don’t! Run away! I used a cash coupon I will never get back! Don’t be like me! Pay the 4.50 to get bossa nova delivery — or better yet, eat dinner before 10pm so you have options, just do not order from here.

Nick was very helpful and kind.
He helped my friend and I to find the right flavor combo we want. We sent the first one back, and he was totally cool with it. Great flavor selection. Smoother than a normal metal bong hookah in ktown or habibi. They also have a good menu spread. Desserts were great. And they have many different rooms with different kinds of ambience, so you can take your pic! We chose to sit outside. It was lovely. There’s restricted residential parking and metered street parking.

Great atmosphere, interior design is very classy, and hookahs are always on point. Service is good to and staff is friendly. I’m a fan and come here often when in the area. Food is a little pricey but high quality and parking is usually a issue but over all the hookah is amazing.

Inexcusably poor service. If you’re gonna charge $ 30 a pop for hookah, then my expectation is there will be no long gaps between repeatedly asking for new coals and those new coals being produced.
In 2015, you’ve got to anticipate people will complain when the service is horrendous. Aside from the product, service is just as important to get right. With hundreds of hookah joints in LA, I’ll be blowing elsewhere.

BYOC (Bring Your Own Charcoal) is the theme of this review. Why?
My party of 6 waited 45 minutes for a new round of charcoal after the first and second rounds of smoke went limp. I got up out of my seat three times to request service and was told someone would attend to us but, in retrospect, was simply a brilliant, well-​played scheme to keep me docile for 11 minutes at a time until service finally came.
It wouldn’t be that big of a deal if even one of the following were not true:
(1) the place was empty for the first 22 minutes during which the two waitresses on staff were coyly hiding inside a cocoon-​shaped booth a half-​basketball court distance away doing nothing but avoiding eye contact from their patrons.
(2) the hookah coal-​smith (?) came to the table next to us delivering world-​class service to the patrons sitting there to the point where he was testing the hookah for perfect smoke by taking huge inhales and then blowing the excess smoke in our direction adding insult to injury.
(3) this was a hookah lounge, thus an expectation of a regular rotation of a coal-​smith is warranted.
Paying a premium for glass hookahs and unwarned inclusion of tip amounts to the bill – these are hookah lounge antics I can take on the chin. But no coal service for 45 minutes on a Friday night – your ass is glass.

Come here every Monday! It’s a super chill atmosphere. Their Glass hookah is BOMB!
Side Note: I’m very picky with my hookah.
Nick is the one who packs the hookah! He is always friendly, makes sure you LOVE your hookah, and checks up on you constantly to ensure a good smoke.
Nadia is always our waitress. She too always has a smile on her face. Very friendly and fun.
I’ve been to this location about 7 times now and I have not had a bad experience yet.

I love this place, because they have the best hukah in Los Angeles. I am a fun of hukah and it took me a lot of time to find a place with good, high-​quality hukah. I go there all the time with my husband and friends. The stuff is nice and friendly, the food is good, the atmosphere is good. They also serve nice teas with fresh mint leaves which I love very much.
We also love Nikita. He is the hukah pro. He makes amazing hukah.

Yesterday was my first and last time coming here. We had called in in advanced to reserve a table. We had told them we were a total of 5 people. When we got there, they sat us on a four seater couch. We asked if we can move to another spot because it was too tight and uncomfortable for us they kept hesitating that they might get busy and can’t sit make the switch until another hour or so. Mind you there were few empty tables.
The hookah wasn’t terrible BUT we waited a very long time until they bought the second one we had requested. The charcoal took forever!!! We couldn’t even smoke the hookah because we needed new charcoal. We asked four times and on the 5^th attempt they finally brought it. They weren’t even busy last time when we were there.
The food wasn’t good. There was no flavor to it. We left there hungry and very disappointed.
The only positive thing I can say was the decors was cute. Overall I wouldn’t go back there. The only need you need is a place that has good food and great hookah service and this place didn’t have either.

They be aight at this joint as far as service. It was a bad start but they made up for it by the end of the night. We found street parking a little ways down the street. Upon arrival, three employees must have passed us without even saying hello. We waited about ten minutes before we were seated outside. I was looking forward to sitting inside because it looked really comfy and they had cool décor. Unfortunately, it was busy and we sat outside, which made me feel like we were not good enough to sit inside or something. Then to top it off we were seated and waited awhile before someone came to take our order. I literally had to go find a waitress to come help us, but when I was walking back to where we were seated she got side tracked and we waited even longer to be helped. I was not feeling it, but we drove out that far to try the new place and figured we better just ride it out.
When the waitress finally came around, she was friendly despite our tension of sitting there awhile. A positive and friendly atmosphere is always a plus. We ordered the lavo light hookah, when they delivered it they had a firework sparkler… nice touch. The hookah looked amazing, it came in a glass lavo, lights and fruit inside. It was smooth and delicious the whole night. It also came with a second refill of our choice. I had asked if we can sit inside and the waitress said she would place is inside as soon as there was availability. However, we opted to stay outside where the hookah guy brought us a heater. I had a tea with mint leaves and it was yummy. The mint is a dollar more but it made it better. The waitress brought honey and spoons and was on top of giving us refills. My friends had the tiramisu and they enjoyed it.
Overall, the hookah was good and service got better. I would go back for the hookah alone. Maybe next time, just a better job on greeting customers and making us feel comfortable sooner than later.

Okay this is how it went
11:45pm Monday night.
Walked into the front room and a server who would later become out server (a young African American lady with curly shoulder length hair) came up and said I will have a table inside clearing up in a few minutes. We said can we sit outside (Having seen at least six tables open) and she snapped «if you can find one,» then «it’ll be about five minutes until I will be able to get to you.» So we went outside.
Twenty minutes later we figured we had been forgotten about and one of our three people got up and went inside. While he was in there a busser came and brought two waters. How they didn’t know there were three people at the table is beyond me considering they all have earpieces and talk to each other constantly.
Finally our server came over and we told her we knew what we wanted since we had looked the menu up online (no one even gave us menus). We ordered hookah and the cheese plate. VERY LOUDLY AND FIRMLY she snapped «THATS NOT AVAILABLE.» It sounded almost like they didn’t even offer that so I pointed at the menu and asked «this assorted cheese plate?» And she snapped even louder «THATS NOT AVAILABLE» so we moved on and said the charcuterie plate and she said «THATS NOT AVAILABLE EITHER.» She was very rude and made us all feel very uncomfortable. We ended up ordering hummus and olives.
The hookah game and it was smooth which was nice. The hookah guy asked if we’d like him to get it started for us and said yes. He took a puff that was huuuge and it was good to go. He then proceeded to smoke like four more huge puffs. It was good to go before it came to the table. No need so smoke half of out hookah that we are paying $ 30 for…
Then the food came. The hummus portion was laughable. They put a tiny dollop in a bowl then smeared it up the sides of the bowl to make it look full. It honestly was probably enough to fit in a shot glass. It was ridiculous, so one of us brought it up (which he had to go inside again because no one was checking on us) and said she said she’d give us more. By the time she brought out more hummus we had eaten the rest of the pita and we asked for a couple more pieces of pita which they brought.
I will say the olive portion was good.
As the meal went on the server got a BIT more friendly. When she brought the check she said «we do apologize for the wait in the beginning and we took care of you and didn’t charge you for the second hummus and pita» ARE YOU SERIOUS?! You absolutely shouldn’t have charged us for finally giving us a proper portion of hummus. That’s not you «taking care of us.»
Also for a group of three they included 18% gratuity. Which, I hate to break it to you guys, is technically illegal in California. Look it up. Added gratuities were no longer legal starting in January of 2014.
Overall this was an awful experience. Don’t be in the service industry if you hate it and are going to yell at people. Also have better portions and don’t pretend you’re righting a wrong by giving us what we deserved in the first place. This establishment should rethink the staff they hired…

Premium Hookah Lounge???

Really, it falls short on so many levels.
1^st: This place is divided into different areas. They have one area that looks less glamourous for smaller parties with tables and chairs for hookahing, they have an outside area that also has tables and chairs for hookahing and then they have this «lounge» area off to the back with couches and television for guess what even more hookahing. All areas don’t really have a cohesive them. One is really dark and the other has this blue/​purple club glow but with a huge kitchen emitting light off to the side. It’s just odd and takes away from the ambiance.
2^nd: Besides its odd décor and theme. This place was freezing. It wasn’t so bad since it was sort of hot at night but most members and my party complained of the air constantly blowing. Plus the dimmed blue and purple neon lights gave more of an illusion of just a cold atmosphere.
3^rd: The bathrooms are unisex and there is only one bathroom per area, 2 private bathrooms in total. Annoying when you have a group of ladies who all need to pee at the same time.
4^rd: The vibe is REALLY laid back. Like everyone seemed to be on drugs in their own worlds. My friends and I seems like the only ppl talking. It wasn’t really the type of vibe one would care to have after a few drinks on a Saturday night. Was much more expecting a bit more noise, but it was silent.
5^th: WE NEVER GOT OUR HOOKAH!!! Mind you this place wasn’t even that packed but it took like 15 mins to get our order taken and another 20 before I just gave up on this experience altogether. We ordered a round of room temperature water and one glass hookah and neither ever came out. Our server didn’t even come by and assure us that our waters or hookah was coming out shortly. It was just HORRID customer service. Hookah doesn’t take that long to prepare no does a round of room temperature tap water.
Certainly not at all what I expected…

Getting a hookah is usually a hassle. You fight over starting it and it’s burnt out within minutes and you realize you’re destroying your lungs without even enjoying any sort of pleasant taste.
Glass Hookah Lounge is different. Hookahs are packed ridiculously well and they DONT DIE. It’s phenomenal. You can ruin your lungs with a never ending flavor.
Problem, though: service does take a while. You might as well bring your own water because, let’s be honest, it’s not coming in the next few minutes.

My first experience here was flawless, the hookahs are CLEAN, The FOOD is always on my craving mind, and best of all this place has a touch that only you can FEEL!
This location always has the perfect spot for me, «solo» they have private sections, or if I have my friends with me, they accommodate parties!
