Romeo and Lydia I love them. I felt like they were my family, the food were good and healthy, and they went out of their way to give us the best service. Only part I didn’t like was that they ran out of their delicious soba noodles, that’s it.

Such a bummer this place closed down! I work in the area and would always walk here when I wanted something healthy. They had seaweed salad at the salad bar which I loved because I could always take as much as I wanted. I really liked their yellow curry greens too! Sad to see them go.

Everyone here is friendly and so accommodating! The food is light and delicious — haven’t tried anything I don’t like:). Also very affordable. Try the egg salad sandwich and thank me after!

I enjoy the food from here and the salad bar is great for getting veggies without the work. I just can’t get over the price. It is on the high side for what you get.

Just ate lunch from here. My face hates me. Here’s the deal: I am allergic to MSG. Ironic, because I’m Asian, but also super not awesome when I try to eat food made by, well, Asians. And I should’ve known, from the moment I walked in and was totally ignored by the Filipino owners/workers, that there would be MSG in my food. But I figured, it’s a vegan/vegetarian joint, so it should be healthy, right? So wrong. The veggie chicken sandwich would’ve been great, except for the MSG. The Greek salad was disgusting — overly acidic. The potato salad had no flavor. And my face feels like it’s being eaten by fire ants. Thanks, Go Veggie. I’m never Going Veggie here again.

Came here once. Cafeteria style food display with vegetarian dishes and some limited vegan options. The food mainly consists of asian inspired dishes. The lady that worked there was nice and offered a few samples to try. The salad options looked boring. I didn’t try their sandwiches nor the smoothies. I ordered the Hot Food Bar $ 5.99 lb… and picked a mixture of side dishes from the salad bar. I got sick a few hours later. I’m just not sure how fresh the food is. Maybe this is just a one time incident but I’m not motivated to come back again. **There are plenty of parking in the side/back and front**

I think they were closed down for awhile, but I moved back into the area and saw they are open again. Good healthy food at decent prices. They even have some sandwiches, including non-vegie options. I plan to keep coming back!

Not Vegan!!! For 3 – 4 times this week i ate here. They told me that the sandwiches were vegan and today I checked all their breads and every single one contained milk and egg. Wtf??? Dont tell people food is vegan when its not. Good thing it wasnt allergy related. They say Vegan friendly but lettuce and one soup … Ummm

I am so glad this place exists! I work nearby and there are literally NO good places to get healthy, delicious lunch take-out except for this place! I am so excited they are back open for business after the building fire. Go check this place out, you won’t regret it!

Hooray for Go Veggie! There is nothing in the area for a good ‘ol salad bar. Sure there’s Ralph’s, Bristol Farms, Gelson’s, Sprouts – but these are all in a giant supermarket nor do they specifically cater to the vegan or vegetarian. I went for the first time today(first of many visits I see in my future) and quite enjoyed it. It’s great for the size – it’s a small restaurant so it had a great selection for the space. There is also a menu to order sandwiches and they were sampling the veggie burger(my lucky day) which was REALLY good. Apparently it wasn’t before but this was their renewed and improved version and it was(and I’m glad I didn’t have the other one). Only ONE gripe: all the tofu options contained soy sauce – a no-no for the gluten intolerant(me). There were a couple other items like the brussels sprouts and green beans, both which I would have added to my salad that contained it too. All in all, a great, fresh spot that I will be dining at again. Oh! And fresh veggie juices at a low price!

I like this little vegetarian restaurant… I came in yesterday as part of a Korean bbq detox. The sandwiches looked good but I went for the hot bar. Lots of interesting choices. Only thing I didn’t really like was the kale curry. Also minus one star for using a cheap top to my green vege drink. Minus another star for being a tad expensive. All in all, a neat little lunch stop close to my office.

The even shorter version: GOVEGGIEISGONE. In 2014 they closed permanently; their return after the fire was short-lived. I miss them. :(I will leave this review up for a few years just for old time’s sake. It’s sad to see them gone but they had a good run and times change… there are other good lunch places reasonably close, like , for whom one of these days I’ll write a review The short version of this review: GOVEGGIE is BACK, and the food is just like it used to be! * «Filipino Fabulous» menu(wide variety, tasty & spicy & just good). * Awesome salad bar and usually two fresh soups(plus made-to-order sandwiches, including turkey, tuna and adobo chicken) on the tray line. So you grab your choice of recyclable container and move a tray through the line… try some of the spicier dishes for a uniquely tasty/healthy lunch or dinner. They usually open at 11 a.m. and close weekdays at 6:30/weekends at 5:30 p.m. * Highly recommended: spicy brown Filipino noodles, variety of fresh cut veggies and some sweet desserts(e.g., new cold blueberry w/quinoa). My experience is staff/other customers will explain the food to the level of detail you need to try it. Or ask for a small taste/sample. * Don’t forget the fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies at good prices. I started going to Go Veggie 3 weeks after they first opened in 1995! Soon I became a frequent customer for three reasons: 1) great food, 2) friendly staff, 3) nice customer mix for random brushes with fame, etc. I once met Stephen Spielberg here(true; he’s as humble and pleasant as you might expect), because Dreamworks(what’s left of it after it was downsized or whatever) is a short drive across Jefferson Blvd. Last week I repeated myself, re-discovering them open 3 weeks after they reoopened. Man am I glad to know I can eat here again! In 2012 I was living in Brentwood(talk about overpriced healthy lunches!), and because I still get my hair cut at Mary’s Salon a few blocks away, I heard there was a devastating fire in Marina Farms & Go Veggie(adjoining businesses on Centinela). Marina Farms owner Gil Bautista(brother of original Go Veggie owner Cora Mortimore who unfortunately passed away some years ago – both Marina Farms and Go Veggie remain family-owned and operated) told me today that the fire started around midnight and had probably done its damage in less than half an hour. The extensive damage closed both businesses for over a year. Well Go Veggie finally reopened in early May 2013, and if the past is any indication it will rise to its former glory as one of the best and busiest lunch spots in south Mar Vista/Playa Vista area(next to Playa Elementary), especially frequented by film industry types. The MPLC is across the street and many post-production and PR-related businesses are nearby. You never know who you might run into here! I’ve intended to review this place for several years, so now I finally have. Try it! Once the secret gets out they’re open again, lunchtime will be jam-packed again. If you find the prices high, try cooking food like this yourself for less from Whole Foods, Vons or whatever; that’s gotta be impossible.

They are re-opened! Yay! Unfortunately, they’ve also raised their prices to $ 7.99/lb. Which means a lunch to fill my petite self is now putting me out about $ 12, which is a huge bummer. The offerings were the same as before. Some really tasty veggie dishes & fresh fruit/veg, but some under-seasoned choices, as other Unilocalers pointed out, are just bland. I noticed on the boards that the sandwiches are now around $ 8 or more. This will prob put Go Veggie off my rotation for a while.

I eat animals. That is a darn hard fact. Every now and again i will go and eat some plant based food and call it a meal. Go veggie is one of 3 spots where I have been that I walk out of satisfied. It’s fresh, it’s clean, It’s open after a long hiatus and it’s pretty darn tasty. It is within walking distance to my work and a place my co workers and I can agree on for lunch. Gooooooo VEGGIE! *jumps in air to a freeze frame*

Oh no! I couldn’t believe this place closed. I just went there(and loved it) for the first time last month. On the website they mentioned there was a fire a week ago that forced Go Veggie and Marina farms to close. They didn’t mention anything about possible reopening… we need you guys! Best of luck!

$ 5.99 a pound for lunch isn’t bad if you work in these parts. The vegetables are fresh and there are a good amount of choices for the veggie lover. It almost feels like it has a strong Asian and Mediterranean influence. And I can’t tell if the guy/lady was Asian or Mediterranean but they are very nice. They have daily soups, curries and fruit. Different kinds of cold dishes and salads including cous cous, quinoa, spring rolls, cabbage salads, etc. Grab a plate or to go tray and fill it to the brim! Feel healthy, afterwards.
