Going to the Greek Theater? Did you know that parking is not free if you do?(unless you are willing to park far away and walk… which I did once but wouldn’t do again) You can pay anywhere from $ 15(must pay on line in advance to get this low price) to as high as $ 50(for those high rollers). But did you know that there is another way to park for even cheaper? Why yes this is true and for only $ 7 you can park off site and take a free shuttle to and from. How is this possible? Tell me more you say? Well, you have to pay for your parking in advance( ) and print out your parking permit and bring with you on the day of the event(again only $ 7, that includes all taxes/fees). You will not be able to park in this off site parking lot on the day of if you do not purchase ahead of time. This parking is right where the pony rides are off of Crystal Springs Drive(look for the signs on Los Feliz Blvd). After you show your parking permit to an employee, they will direct you to where you can park(unstacked parking so you can get in and out whenever you want). Then head over to pick up your wrist band and get on into the shuttle. I have parked in this special $ 7 parking off site location twice now(one last Sunday and one last month) and have had nothing but positive experiences. The employees are nice and helpful. There are plenty of shuttles available so waiting in line for one is not that long. The drive itself to the theater is less than 15 minutes(depending on the traffic, but its a quick short ride). The shuttle begins as early as 90 minutes prior to an event at the Greek Theater and every 30 minutes thereafter. The shuttle is available up until 1 hour after your event at the theater. Now you know about the secret of cheap parking, maybe you may want to check out more events at the Greek a little bit more often.

I was so ecstatic when I found out there was a new park and ride shuttle for the Greek Theatre. In the past I’ve paid $ 15 or more to park in the non/stacked lots, but you need to get there really early before they fill up. There is no way I’ll ever park in stacked parking again because you’re always at some slow poke’s mercy at the end of the concert when you want to get out of there.
