There are 2 Ham Ji Park locations. We accidentally went to this one vs. the one in Koreatown. The restaurant is a bit small, so I can see how this place can get crowded on the weekends. Luckily, we came in on a Monday night and there was one table available. This place is great for groups, as their portions are huge. I didn’t know that initially, so between 2 people, we ordered the bbq pork ribs and spicy soup with tofu, veggies, and pork. They also have a great selection of banchan to start. The pork ribs are already grilled and ready for you to eat, so no need to leave smelling like kbbq. It had great flavor and wasn’t dry at all. The soup really hit the spot on a cold January evening. I can’t handle spicy, but this had the perfect amount of spice. Mix it in with rice, and you’re all set! We definitely had enough for leftovers, and the servers were nice enough to give me another bowl of rice to-go along with my meat and soup. We also got lucky with street parking, but not sure how it is on other nights.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and it’s always been my favorite spot for gamjatang. I feel like now it’s busier than ever, so the service isn’t as great as before, but the food is always great. Their gamjatang and their pork ribs are packed with flavor, and they aren’t too stingy with the portions. I will be coming here for years to come~

Food: BBQ ribs– Delicious, I was quite surprised by the amount of meat that was given(usually Korean restaurants give small portions) and it was seasoned well. Kimchi pork stew– Pretty standard, if you’re Korean, it’ll remind you of your mom’s home cooking. Service was great and would most definitely come back!

I know this is a pork rib place, but honestly I don’t eat pork but my friend is OBSESSED with this place so I always come along to eat the Pan Broiled Squid with Noodle. I don’t know why but I really love their squid… I know a lot of restaurant in Koreatown have this dish on their menu but I think it’s pretty delicious. We used to go the the 6th street location a lot more before, but parking and traffic is TERRIBLE in that area so we started coming to the Pico location even though it’s slightly further. But then we saw RushOrder app delivering to this amazing place too so now we never have to leave our home =)

Yum yum yum~ get the gamjatang and bbq pork! So good! We went on a Saturday around 12ish. It was busy but not too packed. Our food came out pretty quickly. We couldn’t finish it all even though we were super hungry. Definitely would come back again. There’s a $ 20 minimum for cards. They have a parking lot but I’m not sure how much it is. We were able to find street parking easily [:

OK… I finally made it to this location and I have to say, the neck bone soup and BBQ ribs are just as good as the Ham Ji Park on 6th street. The ambiance is a «ma and pa whole in the wall» and the menu seemed smaller than the 6th street location. 2 stars for ambiance. But the food is great(5 stars for food) This location is closer to home, so, definitely coming back here for my neck bone soup fixes. Tip: there is parking in the back.

K-k-korean fooddd is awesomeeee! Food: I got the pork ribs per recommendation by friends, and also the gamjatag. I really didn’t expect much because takeout usually sucks but the food came very warm, bordering on hot. So, I’m able to give you guys a good review. The pork ribs was perfectly cooked, perfectly marinated/spiced, and perfectly eaten. Never had this caliber of pork ribs in my life. Gamjatang was delicious too! I have high standards for this dish b/c of Yangji but I wouldn’t be able to say that I liked one over another(that’s a good thing!). Verdict: will eat here again, but I gotta try the other items on their menu(sadly, I forsee that I will be disappointed b/c I had such a good experience with the pork ribs).

The Gamjatang was really good! Generous portions of pork and potato. Very tender, falling-off-the bone pork that is not too spicy. This is probably more of a 3 people dish(for this of you who don’t eat much meat per sitting). The side dishes are rather not exciting. Service is really slow here on a Saturday afternoon even though it wasn’t really busy.

So good! It was a bit of a wait but worth it. There’s not much of a seating area. But i believe they do take out. So that’s a plus. Gamjatang was really good. Pork ribs really good too. And the lady gave us a lot. We had like 6 people.

The 4 Stars is for the pork bbq ribs. They were totally delish, plentiful and seasoned well. The kimchi fried rice was meh(2 stars); skip it and leave room in your belly for the ribs. The gamjatang was just okay(3 stars); generous heaping of pork, but the potatoes were sparse and the flavor just okay. This is the OG location; get there early and you’ll have no problems with lines or service. Go for the pork and pass on the rest.

pork, pork, and more porky goodness!!! unlike other korean bbq spots, this place is all about pork and only pork. you definitely have to order the pork ribs and the pork neck stew… you won’t regret it. they are the best things on the menu. if you want more options, order the hot pot fried rice and/or the pork belly, which you cook at your own table. to be honest, i haven’t tried anything else on the menu. to me there is no need.

mMMmmm… wow. the pork ribs and that stew with pork and potatos … amazing. It’s a relatively small resturant, so if you don’t want to wait in line, get there by 6pm(yes, even on weekdays) because by the time we were leaving, there was a line out the door! i also liked the salad they have. Went great with the thick and juicy meat =D

Pork neck soup — it’s not amazingly good but you can tell that they didn’t use lots of MSG and its a huge pot that’s good enough for 4 – 6 people so 3⁄5 Grilled pork rib — the portion is huge, definitely worth the price and it’s one of the best Korean grilled pork ribs I’ve had in LA4.5÷5 Side dishes — the side dishes include squash, bean sprouts, radish, kimchi, and one other veggie :(they tasted horrible! None of them were good ! Wish they can make better side dishes to match the soup and the ribs ! Service — they don’t speak English like many other restaurants. Don’t expect a super friendly service!

Ham Ji Park, both locations are equally so good! Here, the must-trys are the: Pork Galbi: they cook it and bring it out on a skillet. Kimchi Jjigae: one can feed about 3 – 4 people. The 6th location parking is in the parking lot on the side and the Pico location parking is in the back. You have to try it, won’t be disappointing.

Okay so I’m really not sure what I expected going in here, I was a little skeptical because a little ways down the street were some bums fighting so I was like ‘wut…’ so I don’t really like the location of this place TOO much, but THEFOOD. The menu isn’t too big(maybe thats a good thing for people who can’t make up their minds??) and what sounded delicious to me was the pork neck stew. Apparently, it’s made for 2+ people so I shared it with my dad. It was HUGE. I wasn’t really sure how to eat it(??) but i ended up just picking it up and biting it off the bone. It was delicious! To all my paisanos out there, it was very reminiscent of posole or menudo! Sad thing was there was only 2 potatoes so my dad and I each took one, but that was it. :( The ribs were pretty good too. I have not been to the sister restaurant on 6th St., so I can’t compare, but this place was good. Not going to lie, it was slightly difficult for us to communicate with the waiter(totally understandable) but she was very nice about it and our food was very fresh! Oh but parking was terrible. The lot is TOODAMNEDSMALL. So we searched for street parking.

Just as good as the sister restaurant on 6th Street. Simply had double order of Pork Ribs and some Soju. Plenty of salad to compliment the meal. The side with sprouts, Kim Chee radish and Napa help seal the deal. A hole in the wall on this side of town, you might miss it if you drive too fast. Good parking lot in the rear.

What can I say about HJP that hasn’t been said before? Well, nothing much cause HJP lives up to the hype. It’s the typical Korean restaurant with crappy furniture but good food. The type of spots I prefer and enjoy over high end restaurants in LA. There’s parking in the back and on the street. The restaurant is small and probably has 10 tables max. The food is delicious and full of flavor. The ribs, pork belly and pork neck soup. It’s awesome that they have a grill shaped as a pig for your pork belly. The main attraction are the ribs and pork neck soup. The ribs are full of flavor. It’s sweet, juicy and falls off the bone. The pork neck soup is full of flavor too. The pork neck was tender, melts in your mouth, and unlimited if I remember correctly. It’s a perfect example of Korean comfort food. I would highly recommend HJP. I give it 5* just for the ribs and pork neck stew.
