I love heartshchallenger ice cream truck! They came to a few JOYRICH events and blew everyone away with their tasty candies and ice creams from all around the world! They light up the street with their colorful warm presence ! My favorite sweet snack would definiatly have to be the pocky’s from japan! They’re amazing! I Think the heartschallenger team is really great, without Chi, Leyla and Ben the thought of an Ice cream truck wouldn’t be the same! I think they are more then perfect to help bring a little PAzzzAzzzz to every party! I approve! –ck

This ice-cream truck certainly does exist… I’ve seen it just this past Saturday making its trek along Sunset, heading west, its happy-go-lucky electronica beats thumping gently. I indulged in a… snowcone, but this pink little truck, adorned with unicorns and hearts, has ice-cream from all around the world, from Armenia to Japan. The best thing about it? That’s very simple, my dears: it’s that nostalgic feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you remember, well, simpler times… what it was like to be a kid looking forward to the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. Those days when big wheels were a big thing, when your Strawberry Shortcake bike was the hottest thing on the block, when you had a crush on the Bionic Man, when you’d get together with friends to play Atari, when running through sprinklers was the coolest way to cool off, and nothing quite beat catching a firefly in your hands… peering through your fingers at its pulsating light. Who thought eating a snowcone could spark memories of report cards and Space Invaders?! Christ. If only the rest of life were that simple.

These guys came to my work last summer and hooked us up with ice cream so how can I not give them a thumbs up. Their selection is half Mashti Malone’s rose water flavors and half regular ones. Get yourself some striped tube socks and a head band and follow this truck around silverlake. The only way Hearts Challenger could get any hipper is if the Cobra Snake guy started driving it, but then I would totally lose my appetite.
