If it’s a Tuesday night and you’re around the Highland Park area. and you don’t know what you want for dinner, come check this place out! Every Tuesday from about 5:30−9pm, they have about 6 – 7 food trucks come out and park in the lot behind the 99 cent store on York & Figueroa. This is great because you can try 1, 2 or more food trucks(if you come with friends/family). I tried the India Jones Chow truck(Beef Frankie — An indian Roti(flat bread), egg washed & rolled up like a burrito with chopped onions, tamarind chutney) & the Boba Truck(Cherry Blossom Green Tea). Very tasty! The other trucks that were there were the Mandoline Grill, Beignet truck, and others. Make sure to bring some cash, but good news is that most trucks do accept credit cards now. There’s plenty of free parking in the lot or in the residential area. I’ll definitely be back!

Kinda sad that all it takes is a little sprinkling rain for this whole operation to shut down. Terrible business model and utter waste of gas.

How amazing is this? Thanks fellow Unilocalers for turning me on to this! A little«food festival» in our backyard! I’ve only just moved to Highland Park 2 months back and have fallen in love with the little«secret» activities it offers. Don’t want to be repetitive since other reviews have covered the awesomeness of the little food truck gathering. It also makes me look forward to Tuesdays. There seems to be about 5 – 6 trucks at a time and I love that it changes! Try them all and support small businesses.

This was the reason I looked forward to Tuesday nights when I lived in the area. Once a week, 6 – 8 trucks gather behind the 99 cent store off of York Blvd. to serve the masses. Highland Park is the best. You never know what food trucks will be there, so it’s always a nice surprise when you check out all the trucks. There isn’t any seating really, so just pop a squat on the curb. My favorite is the Lomo Arigato truck. They are there every week as far as I know, so it’s always a good fallback when none of the other trucks catch your eye. Get the tallarin saltado, it’s delicious! Nobody really knows about it, so the lines aren’t long. Come check it out, the crowds are great and the food is good!

It was a funny turn of events my lovely boyfriend and I ended up at this gathering. After not being able to make it in time to go to Taco Tuesday at Organix, we ended up trying to find the amazing Frankien Stand. It can be alittle hard to find being tucked behind the 99 cents store, but when you do find it it is worth your while. This meet up has a great selection, and nice crowd gatherd. They have must of the diet specials covered with offerings(vegan, vegetarian, kosher, and I think is saw gluten-free) and international delights(Indian, Argentinian, and fusion trucks). Come out and enjoy what the trucks have to offer. My favorites: The Frankien Stand: Vegan hotdogs, sausages, and brats. Spooky themed and frighteningly tasty. Omnivores and Carnivores must try! Royal RV Cupcakes: Royal themed gourmet cupcakes. Great flavored and set up. Get a crown and a song when you buy there royal special. Summary: Check it out and enjoy the fun!

Love the great diversity in food trucks here on Tuesdays! Frankenstand(vegan hot dogs) and Lomo Arrigato(peruvian/japanese) as well as Pupusas from Vchos all bew me away. In the parking lot next to the 99 cent store by the park.

Great place for dinner on Tuesday nights. A great selection of trucks for dinner and desserts. Fun for the hungry fellow(s) looking for a nice spread for dinner. One word of advise though, since the event is located in a large parking lot don’t expect any places to sit down and eat. I saw several groups of people bringing their own chairs which is not a bad idea at all.

So… not a lot of people know where the food trucks usually are sometimes. I would have never expected them to be here in highland park, though!!! I’m so happy, so closeby to my place. So every Tuesday night, theres about 5 – 6 food trucks posted– serving different types of foods: i.e. grilled chees truck, india jones, boba truck, korean/asian infusion spots, etc. Lines are not that long here because people don’t really know about this hidden parking lot full of food trucks! Which is good!!! Long lines are blegh. Anywho, I went over to the grilled cheese truck and picked me up a loaded grilled cheese: macaroni n cheese, tater tots, cheese, and boom you got yourselfa heartattack!!! it was good. It took a total time of 15 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I picked it up. not bad Every Tuesday they have different food trucks. They even have a twitter account to tell you which food trucks will be there so you don’t have to waste a drive. I’m thinking about going next Tuesday! Bring cash because not all food trucks take credit cards. You probably want to take a $ 20 on you to be on the safeside.

Great variety of gourmet food trucks. I would recommend anything from any of them. Different trucks every week to keep it enticing. May want to bring cash…

This is awesome, and probably a regular stop for us on Tuesday evenings, after the farmer’s market of course. It’s fun, and the food is always changing. If you are in the area check it out!

Pretty good selection of trucks on Tuesdays. Plenty of lot & street parking. Plus it’s 3 miles from home if I ever want to enjoy a higher standard of roach coaches. So if you are in the area try it out. Pretty Fun

Love coming here on Tuesday nights to try out various food trucks instead of cooking dinner! I love that they have so many options and that these trucks now accept debit/credit cards!

I’m here almost every week! Its so awesome. If you live in the neighborhood its such a great place to hang out with your neighbors, take a stroll, or ride your bike. Its pet friendly and family friendly. The rotating food trucks are all pretty good and a lot of them have great vegan and vegetarian items for all to enjoy. Don’t forget to stop in to Figueroa Produce because they have great specialty items, organic fruits and veggies, and they have the best vegan ice cream on a cone. If you don’t feel like waiting in line at the trucks, the market can make you a sandwich too. Often times they have special taste testing and free samples. If you are friends with them on twitter they may have twitter tuesday specials and deals as well. The trucks are there from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. If you like Food Network you might see some cast members from The Next Food Network Star there. Come join us. Its fun and delicious.

I love how they brought a Din Din a Go Go to the north east part of Los Angeles! For the longest time I would have to either make a trek to the westside or bust a mission down to the South Bay. Not anymore! On Tuesday nights my dinner plans vary upon which trucks are set up at the parking lot of Figueroa Produce. I love my options if you have read my previous Unilocal. When I can’t make my mind I choose them all! Well a couple weeks ago they started a Los Feliz Din Din a Go Go that go on Mondays so I guess Mondays and Tuesdays dinner are going to be interesting.

Excellent food truck choices on a weekly rotation(don’t ask me how they decide), every Tuesday night from 5:30PM — 9:00PM. Figueroa Produce is really very good for specialty groceries and worth a stop-over when you’re checking out the trucks. Unlike the food trucks, who are only here on Tuesday nights, Figueroa Produce is here every day/night. Use caution driving/parking in this lot. Their Twitter feed is @hparkddagg.
