*most* horrible place ever. Bad quality food and worst service with a bad attitude. Although they made a mistake, they expressed a very negative attitude to customers… no apology. They do not even deserve 1 star. They deserve zero or negative stars.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in LA/OC areas. I love Thai food and have been to many. This has been my favorite. Food is amazing, service is good, and affordable. I definitely recommend this place. They make the great Pat Thai and Yellow Curry. And oh my goodness, Fried Shrimp Tempura is amazing, too.

this place! This is our go-to Thai spot and we are never disappointed. Favorite things are: Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and Tom Yum Soup with a side of plain noodle! Oh, and Thai Tea. The place is clean, service is great, and they have really fun karaōke at night! They deliver without charging a fee and their delivery guys are always super nice. And it’s cheap!

My friends and I love coming here for late night Thai food. It is so much better than Denny’s! The owner is so sweet! She makes sure to go around to each table and greet you and makes sure you are satisfied. We usually order the rice porridge, raw crab, the 1000 year old eggs with fried basil and fried water morning glory(ong Choy in Cantonese). Great atmosphere and great Thai food. If you like entertainment, there is a Thai band that plays and sings both Thai and Thaiglish modern songs. You could even requests song to be sang or you can even go up and karaōke it yourself. There is also a tipping jar for the band, so if you are generous, tips are appreciated It can get pretty loud, so not recommended for a date. They are planning to expand to an area next door in the upcoming months, so there will be a section that is not so loud. The dishes range from $ 10-$ 12.

22 bottles of sake on the wall. 22 bottles of sake. Take one down and pass it around . 1 bottle of sake on the wall Honestly this place has mother effin killer spicy papaya salad. The best in town. Their chili peppers are almost like poison. Make sure to ask for the papaya salad with crab(not on menu) It’s the best around and you’ll definitely taste the difference. They don’t use peelers to peel and slice their papaya and instead it’s hand scored the old fashioned way — how it’s supposed to be which really makes a difference in the crunchiness and gives the salad more complexity. Everything else is good, not the best, but not bad for a Thai place open late that has a great bar which serves hard liquor, beer, wine and wait did you say sake? — yaaaas honay! Service here is really terrible. I went here with my friend after a movie screening to get get our drink on since good sushi around town were closed. By the time the waiter delivered the large sake and walked away we already needed two more. They never came to our table to check up on us and even when we flag them down they acknowledge us but still tell us to wait although we’ve been waiting for like 20 min for a waiter. There’s usually a Thai wanna– be Rock band playing and singing terribly screeching loud music. You won’t be able to have a conversation here plus the music is so loud we switched tables 3 times looking for any spot where we can converse. Would I come here again? A definite yes. I’ve been here four times already and really love the liquor variety and papaya salad. Those two alone are music to my ears.

Crappy service. I’ve visited on numerous times and it seems as though the servers/runners are always EATING instead of serving. This time I just had drinks and was still let down: Definitely have had better Thai. BYE.

This place sucks. My chicken hell was extremely tough to eat because it was beyond over-cooked. After 3 bites, I asked the server if I could have another plate. She removed my plate, took the plate OFFTHETABLE and to her manager, brought it back to me and said we cannot get you another plate. GROSS! I asked for a different menu item, and she said there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to the manager 5 minutes later, and the waitress indicates her manager was not working that night. Hmn. I’ve never written a Unilocal review, but this was deserving of my time. Oh and yes I was charged the full price. Honestly the noodle dishes seem pretty good from my friends plate so there is your silver lining. The service was absolutely piss-poor and to be quite honest from reading others reviews, and I hate to say it… but the accommodating and level of service seemed… how should I say this… in favor of those from that culture, which sucks. The food was delicious. My group ordered pad Thai, yellow curry, egg rolls, etc. The Bbq pork noodles were misleading– It is actually a phở type soup. The chicken was flavorless in the pad Thai, so I would recommended the tofu unless it’s being soaked with a curry. They also seemed understaffed.

Wow. What a joke. First of all if you’re not Thai or Asian don’t expect to be served right away. We waited at least 20 minutes before we got helped. Then when we got helped(there were 3 of us) they didn’t explain the order properly. Drinks are $ 7−10+ dollars, typical I suppose for a bar but soft serve drinks are no refills. What about water, No refills!!! Maybe it’s a Thai thing? After we got our food they brought out two plates and took an extra 10 minutes to bring out the third without having any courtesy to explain or let us know our food would be here shortly. Maybe they forgot? Both my sister in law and I have been servers so customer service is vital and always should be if it involves serving others no matter what field of work you are in. I’m not sure about the karaōke, it’s more like an Asian hooker came in and started singing in Thai or some other language other than English. After we finally got our bill(asking for it from several servers and being completely shined on and ignored by one) there was an extra $ 3 fee. Yes only $ 3 but it wasn’t explained at ordering and we just wanted to know why it was added. The lady who we asked was completely rude. She rolled her eyes grabbed the menu out of my sister in laws hand and spoke in a very rude manner. She finally decided to call the guy over which I’m assuming is the owner? He got loud and rude and in our face. CHECKTHISOUT. Since we got upset because of the horrible treatment and people in our face they decided to share what was happening with another table, Asian of course and probably her sugar daddy white man who was being controlled by this Asian chick. Anyway, this lady flips off our table about 3 times so as calm as possible because I am pregnant and need to control myself, I was confused and wondered wtf is wrong with her, she mumbles something and flips us off again, so I flip her back off trying to keep my cool. THEN she picks up her spoon from her bowl suggesting what I’m assuming to hit me with it?! Wtf I couldn’t believe it. This b**** had the nerve to butt in when she needed to be minding her own business. I swear if I wasn’t pregnant I would have knocked her ass out. SODISAPPOINTING! Not only was our service horrible but it was extremely unprofessional getting another table involved wether they are regulars or friends every single server walked over and talked to her, now if she was the owner she should have got up and said something to our face but instead she had the nerve to involve herself when it was NONEOFHERBUSINESS! Bottom line this place SUCKS. Service is horrible. Food is mediocre. Tables are hard and uncomfortable. Super unprofessional service. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Parking sucks as well, we had to park two huge blocks away only to be hugely disappointed. What a waste of time! I would give it 5 negative stars if I could.

I’m thoroughly impressed with my experience here :) Hollywood Thai earned my 5 stars and though it’s a tiny bit more pricey than some other spots, this might be one of my new favorite Thai restaurants in Los Angeles. Reasons Hollywood Thai gets 5 stars: Really good food that did not disappoint Full bar Open till 4AM! Nice ambiance inside Cute, friendly waitresses Variety of menu options We ordered the pad Thai with shrimp, the waitress suggested a pad Thai that was authentic and we went with it… It was about $ 14, a little pricey but it was so good! It had a blanket of egg on top and it was unique from pad Thai I’ve had at other restaurants. It really tasted authentic. We also ordered the chicken satay which came with a kind of bread I’ve never seen before– delicious! And the spicy shrimp soup– at medium spicy it was actually pretty spicy but it was also soo good! We came in late night so it wasn’t too busy and parking wasn’t a problem, but if you come at regular hours you might have to find street parking.

Good or bad, my hope is to eat at every Thai place in LA. And this one was not for the better. At least I can say I’ve had lunch here. Hollywood Thai is so middle of the road. You expect your food to have some flavor — salty, sour, sweet, bitter or even spicy if you like that, but everything here bordered on the bland. I had the beef noodle soup and it was a very big bowl. Lots of noodles with a few beef balls and strips of beef. It would have been great if there was just a hint of flavor. I’m not a fan of the condiment caddy either and I don’t like adding anything from it to my soup. Food should be good straight from the kitchen. You shouldn’t have to make it taste good. The papaya salad(som tum) wasn’t much better. It looked good like our order of the crispy rice salad(nam kao tod), but both were dull and flavorless. Oh, I’m still hungry. :( Meh. Move along.

Amazing food, beautiful women, and excellent service. I get the grilled pork and Penang curry around 3 to 4am because I get out of the studio around that time.

Being Thai, I am pretty picky with my Thai food. Hollywood Thai is my all time favorite Thai restaurant in Los Angeles. I love the vibe, the karaōke is entertaining, the workers are super sweet, and the food is delicious! I always order the same things — Pad Thai, chicken/pepper/garlic, Panang, and their papaya salad(Som Tum). I think they have one of the best Pad Thais. Good Pad Thai is hard to find, at least for me. They are pretty generous with their portions and they stay open late! Check them out if you’re craving good Thai food, you won’t be sorry!

I eat at this place frequently, mostly drunk, which probably explains why I haven’t written a review for this place yet. Here it is. Amazing!!! Best Thai food in Los Angeles. These fine folks have showed me the meaning to «Thai spicy». Pretty much order most anything on their menu and say Thai spicy after and your mouth is gonna get it. Don’t get me wrong you can order their food normal not spiced as well. Must try: Duck basil fried rice — best fried rice I’ve ever had. Chunks of roast duck and I order it super Thai spicy! Order at any spice though it’s good on all levels. Tiger cry — sliced tender steak marinated in Thai spices and grilled Beef panang– again I order this curry extra Thai spicy but any level is good. Honorable mentions are the morning glory dish(stir fried water spinach) and the chicken heaven(marinated chicken deep fried)
