A very decent pub, a tavern, a tap house, with a small restaurant up front that feels spacious on account of the tall ceilings and wooden floor. Towards the back there’s a stairway that leads up to the bar where they stage karaōke sometimes(or they used to anyways). The food is above average for the price. In a town full of rustic comfort food inns, this one actually feels good. They have a wide selection of burgers and sandwiches and beer, as well as the full bar for cocktails and what not. I generally get the quinoa burger, and it’s delicious. The restaurant front has a view of the public, frequenting Hyperion avenue, doing this and that. Reggie’s been shot. Les Claypool plays the bass. He also sings. General Sherman’s disposition was as hard as wood. Anyways, are you hungry? Would you rather not collect groceries and take the time to cook? Do you have a few shillings and a few things to say? Go on then, try here.

I am definitely a fan of this new place! We went for Happy Hour and indulged in lots of the HH drinks and apps. Great HH prices! We made a reservation for 15, they were able to accommodate us all at a long«community» style table. Décor: simple but chic, fire place, succulents on the tables, liked it. The drinks: I had the muscle mule, it was good(but not served in a copper mug, but maybe they do that on purpose to make a point?) and I had the Voulez Vous– very good! Food– appetizers and shareables… Hyperion Wings– Blueberry and Medium –really good Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls –good, would order again Sliders — the slider is on a hawaiian roll so if you dig that you will like it Fries– good fries! The Pretzel– My favorite thing of the night. It was so perfectly cooked and the OMG cheese dip is really awesome Service– great attentive service. Valet parking is $ 5 Will be back to try the full dinner menu!

good food but when I came with my parents, there was two huge parties that made the place unbearably loud. Still liked the ambiance though.

Cool Bar with good vibe. I have only ever sat upstairs which is darkly mood lit which is a bit of a surprise when you walk in but is still a pretty comfortable spot to kickback for a drink or meal with friends. Bar: Great Whiskey Selection! and a pretty good Beer List(both revolving tap/bottles) I don’t typically do mixed drinks however I have tried the Build a Buck(w/Jameson) and the Hyperion Old Fashioned both where pretty good. Smaller Bites: Avocado Fries 4 Cheese Mac Wings(try the Spicy Blueberry, they’re pretty nuts) Fries All good, tryem, enjoyem! Dinners: It’s been a while since I’ve ate dinner here but I remember really liking the Short Rib as well as the Roasted Chicken. Will have to come back for dinner soon.

I tried making last minute reservations for Sunday brunch for me and 2 friends, but there were none! So we showed up with no reservations and therefore seated at the bar… which was fine with me! No wait! Woo-hoo! It was 10:45am and the place was full! The staff is quite nice, and very occupied. Here’s what I had: CRABANDAVOCADOOMELETTE — $ 15 3 eggs /crab /avocado /wasabi cream /fruit or home fries /toast I chose my side to be fruit and I swear this place serves the most beautiful and plentiful side of fruit ever, haha. It’s so pretty how they lay the fruits out in the nice white bowl. In the bowl you see 2 whole strawberries, 2 quarters of an tangerine/small orange, skinned down to its beautiful pulp, some green grapes, and chunks of watermelon on the bottom. Oh and the main attraction to this plate: the omelette! Overall… it was okay. There were pieces of crab that didnt sem very fresh. the texture reminded me of canned tuna. There was some bit of cheese to kind of glue it to the over cooked omelette. I say overcooked because I usually like my omelette a bit runny. They cooked this thing all the way through. It was topped with some avocado, pepper and wasabi cream, which isn’t spicy. You taste the subtle flavors of wasabi, so its not bad at all. My toast was amazing since I had no carbs in from of me. So good with the butter! Yeah, my friends told me this dish was really good, but I guess it was a bit over-hyped for me. BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS — $ 15 SATURDAY&SUNDAY10AM — 3PM There are 5 different mimosas you can switch back and forth from! How cool is that?! Unfortunately I started my first one on an empty stomach, so I only lasted through 2 drinks total, haha. Here’s the mimosas I had: THEROCK Fresh OJ /watermelon liqueur /champagne I started with this one because I never had watermelon in my mimosa before! Although it is mostly OJ, you have that subtle watermelon taste in it. I really liked it! HYPERIONSUNRISE PAMA /mango nectar /champagne PAMA is a pomegranate liqueur made with all-natural pomegranate juice, premium vodka and a touch of imported tequila. It gives this drink that beautiful red blend into the orange like a sunrise. I don’t really taste it, but the slight mango makes the drink less citrus in taste. I like it fine and dandy! I overall enjoyed this place. If it weren’t for the daytime sunlight shining through the window, I would think this place to be too dark. It’s definitely has that hipster scene. Seriously I counted 5 guys in flannel who either had a beard or mustache who were just standing around the bar where I sat. I didn’t count the rest sitting! I suggest coming here early, because they have their 2nd wave at noon, and this place gets packed! I definitely would go back because everything else on the menu sounds amazing. Oh and I’d like to try their other mimosas to ;) Parking was difficult. It was scarce and mostly meters. I got lucky finding free/non-metered parking on Griffith Park Blvd. But they have valet too for conveneince if you dont mind paying about $ 5+ ti :) Oh and our bartender looks like Margaery Tyrell of Game of Thrones, lol.

Fan of the bottomless mimosas! That’s only reason it’s getting 4 stars The food was just okay Great place to catch up with friends and the neighborhood is pretty cool to walk through after having a little too many mimosas The service isn’t the best when asking for a refill on your empty glass but just keep the eye game strong and grab their attention

Saturday brunch with bottomless mimosas? Yes. They do it every day! You can mix and match the different flavors. The food is amazing too. Gastropub style. We ordered a couple things off the breakfast menu to share and we were both happy. The only reason I’m giving a 4 star instead of a 5 is because they forgot to bring us our food. They were on top of bringing the mimosas out but somehow our food ticket got lost in the mix… It was about an hour and a half from the time we ate to the time we started eating. Our appetizer did however come out on them. Despite the accident I would still go back. They gave us a discount to apologize.

I love Hyperion Public… my boyfriend and I come to the bar quite often… great food options, some nice IPAs, TVs, dart board, cool bartenders and a cool laid back vibe. The Hyperion burger is top notch, loaded with all the fixings including bacon and comes with fries which are cooked to perfection. I’ve also had the chilaquiles(really good) and a few other items which were pretty good(although I will stick to the burger from now on). The pork belly sandwich is tasty but too rich and fatty. I know, I know, that’s how pork belly is supposed to be, it’s just not for me. The sliders are good, but way too small(2 small sliders left me hungry) and the fried chicken sandwich is just ok. The famed salted caramel pie is delish… definitely worth saving room for. ;)

Hyperion Public was a cool little restaurant/bar that has its own local type of crowd that would hang out here. They have like a small restaurant area in the front part once you walk in and then a bar area up the stairs and to the back. We came here for my fiancé’s Christmas party but it was a last resort because other places weren’t accepting reservations for our party size. As for the food, we decided to order a round of appetizers and drinks before digging all the way in and this is what we ordered: 4CHEESEMAC — Mac and cheese with cheddar, muenster, mozzarella and pecorino. This was by far my favorite dish and I don’t even like Mac and cheese. The mixture of the four cheeses was heaven and it tasted SO good! This was definitely the hit of the table. CHICKENWINGS — Tai Chili w/celery, carrots and homage ranch. These were okay. I only had one and there were a lot left over so I take it not too many people enjoyed those as much. CAULIFLOWERPOPCORN — these had the same effect as the chicken wings. People tried them and passed the bowl to my fiancé who loved them. After tasting one I told her she could have the rest lol. AVOCADOFRIES — Panko crusted with lime cilantro. After having one of these I was pretty much done with the appetizers. I was ready for some real food. I’m not sure what the person ordering all the food for the table was thinking but I wasn’t a fan of it. HYPERIONBURGER — Angus beef, cheddar, jack, grilled onion, braised mushrooms, Apple wood bacon and homage sauce. This burger was pretty good. I’m not sure if it was because the appetizers were a miss or if it was just really good. I will admit that I took a bite out OFTHE burger and there was a thick piece of paper from the beef patty in there. I told the waitress and they were willing to comp my meal but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Good burger none the less. TURKEYBURGER — Fresh turkey, muenster, grilled onion and avocado. This burger was pretty good as well. It was covered in avocado and it almost overpowered the rest of the ingredients for me, but my fiancé loved it so that’s all that mattered. MOSCOWMULE — it was good but it wasn’t in the chilled mug. No points docked for that but the mug always makes it official. JALAPEOSCRATCHMARGARITA — This was like drinking a jalapeño. Way too hot and nasty for me. I almost spit it out. If you love jalapeños THATMUCH, this is your drink. Overall, I don’t think we’ll ever come back. I believe because It was a last option, we all tried to make the best of it. I’ve told a few people it was ok and they have looked it up so I’ve provided some awareness but I wouldn’t recommend. Ordered fried chicken sandwhich and pretzel plus the all unlimited mimosa. Waitress sucked she forgot our order made us wait and hour after we ordered and made an excuses for it and comped out friend for his wait and not ours. The food was great very flavorful and the fries were good along with the avacado fries. Must try as food is great, service sucks but it’s not about the service. Not her fault she compt our friend who ordered 30 minutes after us and got His food before us and while 3 couple who came after us got their food before us and her reasoning was our order was behind. Be patient and don’t have expectations p

Drinks took over 30 minutes and food took over an hour. In the end they gave us a $ 6 food discount credit off a $ 70 check and still creeped on gratuity. What an terrible experience. Friend chicken sandwich was good and pretzel came out cold. I really want my money back from this place

Went here last night with two friends To celebrate a bday. We started off with fried cauliflower(don’t remember the official name) with the pretzel with Dijon mustard. Wasn’t a fan of their mustard but the other dipping sauce was good. Pretzel was fresh, warm and fluffy. I ordered to Hyperion burger(just ok. Brad was too thick, seemed a bit dry to my liking) with F Yeah fries. Those fries are THEBEST! THATWASTHEBESTPARTOFALLMYMEAL. You have to try them. For dessert we got the graham cracker snore delight. I can’t remember the actual name though. This place was dominantly a hipster joint. I was completely out of my element. I also didn’t like that I had to practically scream to talk to my friends. Oh and the spot closed at 2am but at 1115 the valet guy came over to us to get his money?! Huh? One of those spots that I can say I went to once but won’t go out of my way to come again

Avocado Fries — YESPLEASE Truffle Mac n Cheese — rich and truffly flavor and definitely a must if you love truffles. Kale Caesar Salad — Definitely a healthy take on the classic Caesar. Radishes thrown in there for a pop of color. Fyeah Fries — No point in ordering. Nothing really special about them. — We sat all the way at the back end of the restaurant in the lounge/bar section. It was pretty cold, until we realized we were sitting right under the vent. Overall, we had a good experience. Drinks were good. I got the Reservoir Dog and the mezcal wasn’t yummy with the mixture they made. Had to return it. The ginger cocktail was def yummy if you love ginger.

Went here with my coworker for happy hour. Parking: it’s the silver lake area so naturally, it sucks. You can valet though. Ambiance: nice vibe. Friendly staff. Another room to get rowdy when watching fuuuuzball. Loved their wooden décor. DRINKS: had their old fashioned. Pretty damn strong for a $ 5 drink. Well worth it. FOOD: started off with the hot wings. Pretty darn good. Not as spicy as I would have liked it, but I’m Thai and I have a completely different palate when it comes to spice. I then proceeded to order the Hyperion Burger. I love it when I’m asked how I want my burger cooked. I’m not stuck with an overdone piece of hockey puck. I’m a rare-mid rare type of gal. Let me tell you… Did not disappoint! Giant slabs of applewood smoked bacon. Bacon makes everything better. Huge burger. Bun was on point. Juices were running. PERFECTION. And ended it with a salted caramel pie. Need I say more? I love pie. I love caramel. Tis all. Will def come back.

Outside seating, full bar and a hostess to show you the way. I had the best salad ever here, surprisingly! Their Heirloom Tomato Salad was delicious. It had diced peaches, fragrant tomatoes, arugula, chopped almonds and vinegarette dressing that made the whole salad balanced with a spazz! They give generous crab meat portions to the avocado crab omelette. The Croque Monsieur was nicely crisp and well done. They serve up bottomless mimosas and an open bar for the drinkers in the house. Cool place for any eating settings and occasions.

Great Great Great Spot! They have a great breakfast, brunch, and dinner selection! Endless mimosas are $ 14 until 3pm. I’ve been here for dinner before, and recently came for brunch. My boyfriend loved the Chilaquiles. They were perfect! I had the chorizo and eggs(came with beans, and tortillas) and it was a perfect serving size. Combine with some mimosas & lilosas and it was a perfect start to the day!

First time in L.A. and this was a good first meal to start off my trip :-). Place is cozy with a very chill atmosphere. I particularly liked the old school 80s music that was playing in the background. The service was also really good. Really friendly and smiling waitress who was always there when needed. On to the food! It was delicious! I had the cubano burger and it was absolutely divine. I also had a side if the sweet potato fries and those were good too. I typed the meal off with the salted caramel pie which was a little too rich for my tastes but was worth trying. Definitely recommend this place for anyone passing by.

This place has been on my to try list and it didn’t disappoint. I say it’s a hipster restaurant that fits right in in Silverlake! It’s fairly a small place with a long communal table in the middle and booths along the walls. The overall vibe was dark not in that creepy/scary way but more of that chill/relax feel. Not sure if that makes sense… My friends and I came on a Saturday around 10:30am after we ran the Color Run at Dodger Stadium. The place was packed and they weren’t taking anyone without a reservation. But they did have seats open outside which we took. Even though the place was packed I was surprised that it wasn’t overly crowded. As most of you know it’s hard to find a good brunch place in LA that’s not overcrowded w people … So this was definitely a plus! :) and although we sat outside the service was good… No waiting ridiculously long to take our orders etc. the servers came multiple times to fill my coffee and waters for the table. As far as the food goes it was good. Now was it extraordinary good? No. But it was good. I had the Breakfast Platter with eggs, sausage, and home fries. It was your standard breakfast plate and it was good as I expected it to be. Home fries were a little on the salty side but they were delicious. I loved the bell peppers and onions that accompanied it. Some of my friends got their Crab Omelette which I thought was ok. The crab was on the lacking side. And my other friend got the BLT? And he liked it. It looked humongous and the side of fries looked good. Food was overall good. I would come back if I was in the area again! :) Oh parking is street parking like most of silverlake/echo park…

Before visiting Hyperion Public, I only knew that the restaurant checked the following boxes: highly rated with American brunch items in Echo Park /Silverlake. Based on those characteristics, I was expecting something crowded, expensive, and trendy. But, I was pleasantly surprised with Hyperion Public despite my aversion to gastropubs(since I’ve found that they usually aren’t the most receptive to modifications due to allergies): we didn’t have to wait for a table; the menu had a range of moderately priced($ 10 – 13) items; and I didn’t feel totally out of place. The atmosphere of Hyperion Public was, like most Silverlake establishments, cool. I would characterize our outside table as hipster picnic: dark brown tables with matching benches. The inside of the restaurant was also trendy(think about every other new-ish gastropub you’ve been to), though rather dim. Despite the chilliness, I preferred sitting outside.(They do have a smoking terrace if you’re inclined to smoke and eat, but we were seated in a non-smoking section.) Our server was knowledgable and immediately knew the answer to my question: whether the sriracha aioli contained dairy products.(For the record, it does.) I managed to remove that element from my $ 13BLTA, with which I was very happy. When the food was first served, it looked like one massive sandwich, but was, in reality, two halves stacked on each other. The sandwich had ample strips of bacon to satisfy any cravings. There was perfect amount of lettuce and tomato — not too much. And, the avocado was a welcome addition, though I wish there was more. The toasted sourdough bread was delicious. The side order of thick-cut fries was also very satisfying — not soggy, not overly salty, not drenched in unnecessary ingredients. Given the crunchiness of many of the items, I could imagine that the aioli would have made the sandwich more moist, but I was nevertheless happy with my food. My friends were generally satisfied with their food(huge crab omelets and decent breakfast plates), but were more pleased with the sweetness of the grapes found in their fruit salads and the deliciousness of their diet-busting sourdough toast. Although I was satisfied with my BLTA, I was nevertheless disappointed by the lack of vegan options on the weekend brunch menu. The menu’s key, which helpfully notes vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian items, led me to believe that the restaurant would have at least one vegan item for brunch, but, sadly, there were no vegan options. You can find street parking in front of the restaurant or in the adjacent neighborhoods. There’s no need to pay for valet parking if you’re willing to walk a block or two. Overall, a good dining experience, but I probably wouldn’t drive out to Silverlake just to eat here again!

I tagged along with my sister and her friend so they could order bottomless mimosas with our brunch! We went on a Sunday and the streets were so quiet and peaceful! We arrived shortly before 12pm and were seated right away in the patio section outside. Choosing what to order after looking at the options was incredibly difficult! My sister and her friend each ordered the Truffle and Mushroom Frittata, which was so rich and delicious. The cheese shavings on top made it a wonderful balance of flavors. I ordered the Croque Madame and it was fantastic. I loved that they lightly toasted the bread it was on! The flavors are always extremely simple, but that’s just the way I like it! The waitress told me that my meal came with a side, but it ended up being an extra $ 2 but at that point I enjoyed them too much to ask for clarification. Lastly, in case you didn’t know the bottomless mimosas are $ 14 but you can switch out which kind you get every time! Hyperion Public is a really fun place and it’s totally worth checking out!
