I’ve always wanted to try this out, after seeing all of their commericals on tv during football games(advertising, you win this time). I was literally the only person in the restaurant, ordered an italian sub and it took forever for them to make. Nothing particularly stood out about this sub. The sandwich was mediocre — from the meat to the bread to the vegetables within the sub. If I wanted to get a mediocre sub, I could’ve easily gone to subway a couple of blocks over and gotten my selection of vegetables and meats within the sub.

Well. Es a sammich place. Clean and friendly. Not much else. Bit lackluster on the Italian. And tooo much mayo for my taste. It was like jimmy John went nuts on my loaf! The staff gets the extra star.

Very poor customer service. Sandwich made sloppy and I was blocked out when one if the employees mopped the floor leaving it soaking wet and sudsy.

Ate here and bit into my sandwich there was mold on it. Jimmy Johns usually is good to however the management and workers here are not.

Downtown LA has a LOT of variety so you can always try something new. That’s exactly what I did… Jimmy John’s seems to look like an upscale, we use legit ingredients, which in turn will make your sandwich taste spectacular… But it wasn’t Spectacular… It was a good, regular made sandwich, but nothing special about it. I had a #12… Turkey and avocado… There was a little turkey and barely any avocado but a ton of mayo… Thank God all the mayo spilled out on my first bite or else I woulda gotten sick. Mayo is good and all, but don’t over do it! The place is technically a 2.5… The service was good. I think they pride themselves on making the fastest sandwiches… Which I don’t know if that’s really good or not… But it was a decent sandwich. I honestly know if I would recommend giving here. There’s a ton of places to eat. If your up for a sandwich, maybe try out… You might see something in it that I don’t…

I had been really obsessed with Jersey Mike’s…until I found Jimmy John’s! This place is the best. Simple sub sandwiches done right, with good quality meat and cheese and fresh veggies. It was easy to eat. much easier than Mike’s, and delicious. They are also extremely fast, they finish making the sandwiches faster than I can finish paying.

They really mean it when they say sandwiches so fast you’ll freak! That was some quick and friendly service! This is a great location so I always come here.

Go ahead and throw out that«Freaky fast» motto. I’ve been waiting for like 15 minutes with a crowd of others waiting for our sandwiches at lunch. No sense of urgency from employees that there 20 angry people waiting way too long for their sandwiches. What’s so hard about spreading mayo on bread and putting precut meat on the bread? Sandwiches are coming out one sandwich per minute or two.

Honestly… I LOVE this sandwich place. We had an employee come to our office and she brought lots of samples… JUSTBECAUSE! AWESOME! So then I decided to try a whole sandwich and man… it was great! Super fast delivery(UNDER10MINS) The sandwich was fresh. Crisp lettuce. No soggy bread. Just great! We ordered from here again this afternoon. I have had the Tuna, the Turkey and today I am trying the BLT(unwich) I will review as soon as it gets here and I take a bite! Great job Jimmy John’s !! :)

What. How did I fall for this AGAIN? So, I am usually very good at remembering food places with details and I could have sworn I went to a Jimmy John’s in Indy and complained about it. I asked the others that were in Indy if they remembered and everyone thought I was a crazy person. Turns out, now that I write this, I checked my Indy reviews and found that I wasn’t crazy and really didn’t like JJ’s. Epic fail. I walked into JJ’s since so many opened up around DTLA thinking, it should be ok. It’s SANDWICHED(heh) between Sugarfish and Bottega Louie. Two of my personal favs so, by proxy, it should be catering to my taste buds. I looked at the menu and did not see anything I really wanted. I ended up getting a veggie sub since the meat didn’t look or sound appetizing. The bread was meh. I completely forgot to say no mayo and nearly gagged when I saw the abundance of mayo slathered on my sammich. The sandwich was edible, but I just wasn’t a fan… and I eat just about everything. Bumped it up an extra star for quick and nice service though. The food wasn’t that good. I cut my sandwich in half and gave the rest to a hungry homeless man.

First of all they use cheap over processed white bread. Second, when I saw they don’t change gloves and I have allergies, I asked them about it. They said to make me a new one I’d have to talk to the manager. I was low on time so I just threw it away. It’s pretty gross.

They deliver in under 8 minutes. That’s pretty freakin’ impressive. The only sandwich I’ve tried so far is the beach club(turkey, provolone, lettuce, mayo, cucumber, and avocado spread) and it’s so yummy! It’s a great choice for a lunch meal and will tide you over well into dinner.

Hype!!! Average sandwiches this location has a long wait to order and even longer to get your sandwich… When I ask for a bag to go to the guys said«they over there«so I had to pack my food grab my napkins and get my own mustard I should just put a shirt own and help pack everyone’s sandwiches to reduce the amount of wait time … I do like the bread it was fresh but besides that the only other funny thing is the tile in the bathroom…

= FRESHSANDWICHONTHERUN = * SANDWICH * $ 5.99 for the regular sandwich, and an additional $ 0.75 if you would like cheese. Nope, you don’t get to choose the type of cheese you want, because they only have Provolone Cheese. Favorite is definitely the #4 Turkey Sandwich, but their #1 Ham Sandwich rocks also. * DELIVERY * Lighting Speed Delivery. But unfortunately they have a really small delivery radius and expensive delivery fee. They charge $ 2 delivery fee per item ordered. So… If you want them to deliver 3 sandwiches, that’s an extra $ 6. I am one of the fortunate ones that falls within Jimmy John’s delivery radius, but I rather walk there and pick up my sandwich than having to pay them extra money for the delivery charge(when I am one block away). * TAKE-OUT * They make their sandwich really fast, I usually just pick up my phone and place my order, and they would have my sandwich ready by the time I walk there. Awesome spot to grab a quick lunch. Especially if you are tired of eating Subway.

I came here to get a sandwich not knowing I’d be bombarded with right wing propaganda, including that almost borderline racist sign about people who wear baggy pants being resentful kids, I posted a picture of it. I’ve always loved my parents and I’ve never resented them and I’ve worn baggy pants almost all my life! I found out later the corporation reduced all of their employee’s hours so they wouldn’t have to provide insurance to them. Would I come back? Hell no, you can kiss my ass through my baggy jeans, jimmy johns.

Oh, how I have missed Jimmy John’s and their«free smells». Used to eat it all the time back in Texas during college, but completely forgot about this place until it opened in DTLA. I get the Country Club, add cucumbers, easy mayo, cut in half. My advice for all of you newbies, «cut in half» is a must. Otherwise, you end up squeezing out all the insides by the time you get to the end. You’ll thank me for that tip.

A young lady stopped by work passing out samples and letting me know if I heard there was a Jimmy Johnson’s in the area, at first I was lost, never heard of it. So she offers me one sample sandwich(3 inch) and I had three choices, ham with tomato and lettuce, ham with cheese, and ham and cheese with avocado. I was open to try anything since it was free. She gave me the ham with tomato and lettuce, the bread is very good, soft inside but very firm on the outside. The inside such as the ham is nothing special. I would not pay for this sandwich, very basic and it was fine, but there is already sandwich shops in the area that are a bit better. Appreciate the sample and giving me another food option for lunch near work but another sandwich shop is just another video store on the block. Try them out, maybe there will be better then my experience.

HOLYSMOKES! Their delivery is FAST! Last night my fiancé and I decided to order Jimmy John’s since we didn’t want to leave the house. We went online and browsed their menu. The ordering process is super easy and quick to use – pretty no brainer. You can add extras, customize your sandwich by selecting how much of everything you want in it(Xtra, Regular, EZ, or none), and also add sides. I ordered the 8inch Veggie sub with extra lettuce, sprouts, chili peppers, and a pickle on the side. We submitted our order, watched a 15 minute segment of comedy on Youtube and before we knew it, the Jimmy John’s delivery man was at our door. The sub was good. The bread reallllllly makes the sandwich come together. It’s a solid bread. The contents of the sandwich are fresh and tasty but I wish there were more options like at Subway– jalepenos, pepperchinis, olives, bell peppers, etc etc etc. Regardless, it was a tasty sandwich and the delivery CAN’T BEBEAT.

I wasn’t sure about this place. Had no idea what it was, only that it was new food place across the street from my work and I wanted to check it out. I thought they served hamburgers or something. I went in and lo-and-behold it’s all about the cold cut sub in there. I was a little disappointed, because Subway sandwiches have turned me off of the whole cold cut thing. But, again, I wanted to try it. I asked two servers what they recommended. Both said #12 Beach Club. I like turkey and avocado, so it worked. They only had Provolone cheese there, so Provolone it is. The order went super quick and I had the sandwich in seconds. I wasn’t sure where to sit, because the place was full, but I squeezed into a spot at the counter to check out this sandwich and read the Unilocal reviews that had come in since the place opened last Friday. Two of the three reviews referenced that Jimmy Johns is a chain from the east coast with addictive sandwiches. Ok, I was ready to try it out. From the first bite, I was sold. A WHOLEWORLDOFDIFFERENCE from Subway. Blows them out of the water and sorry, Subway, I don’t think I’m ever coming back as long as Jimmy John’s is around. The food is super fresh and great quality. The bread was so tasty — like bread is supposed to taste. If I’m going to screw my diet by eating carbs, I want the carbs to be worth it. Also, as friends have noticed, I often tear off bits of bread from sandwiches because I don’t like too much bread. I ate every bite… and the last bite was as good as the first bite. The turkey was so good and I’m on board with the thin sliced fresh Provolone too. The avocado was real avocado. Deeee-licious. I’m writing this a few hours later and my tummy is still happy. Ok Jimmy John’s, I’ll see you again soon. (Also, correct that there is no condiment section — I looked. I suppose you have to ask them for those things when you order and they will put it on the sandwich for you directly when they make it. I didn’t see napkins either.)
