I have received an email personally fro the manager of Jin Jiang notifying me that the waiter, Jimmy, is no longer there. I will happily return and would hope everyone else does. This is the best Chinese food I’ve had in Westwood. My only issue was Jimmy and he is now gone.

I ordered from here randomly expecting total mediocrity, but found it to be so tasty. Happy to appoint this as my new delivery spot for Chinese. I’m really praying this wasn’t a fluke. The order was simple– beef and broccoli, combo Lo mein and spicy salt shrimp. The beef and broccoli had tons of beef that was cooked nicely, and the broccoli had just enough bite. The shrimp was different than what I expected but if you like spicy, this dish was worth it. The best dish was the lo mein. It had a good amount of all three meats which is something I have a problem finding elsewhere. Excellent portion sizes too. Three enters fed two people with enough for thirds! I would order all these items again and again but now that I’m convinced they know what they’re doing I’m excited to try more.

Ordered the honey walnut shrimp for delivery. Booooo. The shrimp was VERY deep fried. And I am someone who isn’t afraid of a little deep frying. The honey walnut shrimp I have had(and enjoyed) is less fried and more candied. Also, the sauce was so thick and congealed it wasn’t spread throughout the dish, only on a few shrimp. Made me wonder what the heck it was made of.

I have ordered here for the office lunch. The food is very good. We had the lo mein, a couple of chicken dishes, a beef dish, and some veggie options. The prices are reasonable too.

Hop Li used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant on the westside, went there with Chinese friends and loved the food. Well, they’ve either changed ownership or cooks, and now it sucks. Enter Jin Jiang to the rescue! They’ve been here for decades but I only tried them once in the past and forgot about them. Took my friend Shiao Ting here for her birthday and we had a feast! The only dish I didn’t like so much was the honey walnut shrimp, one of my favorites. The sauce was too sweet and two thick and covered the shrimp. But everything else was mouth watering. Salmon with a dark sweet sauce and veggies(bok choy). Moo shoo veggies with the little pancakes. I think the best part, though, were the appetizers. We had the chicken potstickers and butterflied shrimp. Both were your traditional Chinese appetizers. Yum yum. And love that dark sweet sauce that comes with them, as well as the HOT mustard! We were so full we could hardly move. The service was decent, though maybe a tad slow. But this is a pretty, comfortable, traditional Chinese place and we will be back.

Pleasantly surprised. Didn’t expect much from this place but it came through. Ordered two egg rolls appetizer, the sesame chicken, and the filet mignon. The sesame chicken was surprisingly good. Flavorful and the sauce that comes with it is amazing. The filet mignon was the real highlight. Perfectly cooked and the boiled broccoli complimented the dish so well. The black pepper sauce was a great combo with the meal. The place is on the second floor of the plaza which really makes the place lowkey. Very underrated. The décor is classic Chinese. The waiters refilled our drinks like 5 times. Very attentive with the drinks. The crowd at the time was very random which I loved. Great Chinese spot.

Came here with the office staff for lunch. Located in a strip mall on the second level. With the lunch you get a cup of hot and sour soup. I don’t care for that soup and there are no other options. I wish they would let you substitute for egg drop soup. Overall the food was okay. I had beef with green beans. My colleagues had the fried pork chop. Which I tasted and was very good the rest was just okay.

This is my go to Chinese spot in west la! I have taken friends and family to eat here and I’ve eaten a LOT of delivery. My favorite dishes are the Chef’s Special filet beef with black pepper sauce and the honey walnut shrimp. If you’re super sweet and a regular delivery customer, you can ask at the very end of they can put an orange as part of your order(because they give orange slices to dine-in guests). The service is amazing and the guys that work there are super sweet!

Dropped in for a quick lunch. The place isn’t visually stunning, but it ain’t too shabby either. They started by serving me a complimentary cup of hot and sour soup. I ordered the white meat chicken with assorted vegetables. It usually comes in a white sauce, but I asked them to customize it with brown sauce instead. Service was very accommodating and quick. In terms of flavor, both the soup and the entrée were delicious. Taking a star off because there was no greeter when I walked in and it took a few minutes for me to get someone’s attention just to get seated. Also, some of the pieces of the meat weren’t the best quality. Overall, this was a solid Chinese restaurant that had relatively fresh and authentic(and affordable!) food. Would Recommend!

Average. The honey walnut shrimp was a good dish. The black bean chicken lacked taste. Portions are average to small(regular entrees, not lunch special). You need to order rice and tea separately. They forgot to bring out the rice at first. And the second entrée came out almost 15 minutes are the first, but I digress. I didn’t downgrade for service; the 3 stars is based on the food.

Well, reservations for 12 were made two weeks ago for 6 pm Xmas evening dinner. We arrived at 5:45 and guess what? They seated a party of 12 who did not have reservations. Instead of correcting the Problem by asking that party to give up the table(they had represented to the host that they were our reservations) the restaurant did nothing! We were seated in a makeshift«L» shaped table. More so for the service. Terrible! Food was brought in shifts, ran out of food, no service whatsoever and some of the food was not hot! If this was their first try at serving on Xmas dinner then I would be remiss to be so harsh. But this isn’t their first rodeo and they should have known how to do it and take charge of people who takeover their reservations. Next year somewhere else who takes care of those who make reservations. Also their only response was SORRY. That just does not cut it. That is just a word.

Legit Chinese takeout on the west side. I love that these guys are on my favorite food app rushorder(currently a promo with code«hungry3» at checkout)! Had this delivered recently. I wish I had a giant group I was feeding so I can get all my favorites: the peking duck is perfectly roasted here; eggplant dish, hot and sour soup, and filet mignon noodles, all so delicious. Their menu is really extensive so it seems I’ll have to be back to try some of the other items.

I am extremely disappointed in the customer service from here. The food was not bad I do have to say but the customer service was absolutely horrible. Here is why I gave one star. I work for a company in Santa Monica that caters weekly for its 40 employees. I told them this in hopes it would maybe entice them to be the best they could be because they would want the reoccurring business. We want to build relationships with restaurants because of our reoccurring orders. I place our order the day before(Thursday afternoon), with Lili or Helen. I give the limitations in regards to any allergies etc. I go over the order and repeated the order and the amount of people that need to eat, to the point I literally sound like a broken record. Everything seems great. She repeats the order, everything is correct, Awesome… Fwd to the next day, Friday afternoon. They were on time. Yay! Looks great so far. I had hope! However, when we start unpacking our order it looked rather small… Great. The delivery person calls the restaurant and tells the woman something in his native tongue and gives me the phone, I proceed to try to work out the situation. I tell her she got the order wrong she apologizes etc tells me she only gave me enough for 22 people. *Giant face palm* I tell her she is incorrect etc and ask what will she do to fix this. She tells me she will send us more food(meanwhile while i’m trying to rectify this situation the delivery guy is trying to take the phone from me and having a fit while because i wont give it back… Um i’m on the phone he handed me to his boss, whom he called) OK good so far. She again apologizes. Normally this would be acceptable and i would be happy however the kicker was when she proceeds to tell me we will have to pay the difference for the extra food she is sending over. Um, excuse me, I paid a good amount of money for you to cater to our office, repeat myself the day prior multiple times, emphasis the number of people and the food allergies and the very next day you make a huge mistake and we have to pay for YOUR mistake??? Are you kidding me ??? So her rectifying this was giving us extra salad, orange slices and making us pay for her mistake. Not even was I offered a monetary compensation when asked. Nope, just pay or don’t get the food you originally ordered. That we spend $$$ on. Long story short I would not recommend catering from here. You get shafted because of whatever reason have to pay for it and don’t get anything but an «i’m sorry» A f up this bad I would imagine most other places would compensate in some form or another other than salad and orange slices. I know I would. Oh and to add insult to injury I nearly broke my tooth on a chicken bone!(Pictured below)

This is my go to spot for Sunday night Chinese food and chill. I also order delivery and they usually estimate delivery time to be 45 minutes, but it always comes earlier! The food is exactly what you would expect take out Chinese to be, but the ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. We also order the hot and sour soup which is delicious. The only thing I can say is that I wish they would add more tofu and vegetables to it, most of the time it’s just the broth. We also always order the orange chicken which is consistently delicious. Best orange chicken I have eaten in this area. Lastly, the chow fun fried rice is pretty good. We ask for easy on the«fried/ness» which they always understand. Makes it less greasy. Overall, this is the place I always recommend to friends who are looking for good Chinese that delivers.

I order here 4 times a week because it’s conveniently located by my office and their beef and broccoli is great. I discovered a nail in my beef and broccoli that I normally order. The owner told me he would replace the meal for me and I refused. I threw up at my desk when I bit into the food and realized there was a finger nail inside. I went to the urgent care in Santa Monica and had a bill of 80 dollars. Not to mention the time I missed from work unpaid. I went in today and the owners wife told me all she can do is give me credit for the food. I am so pissed off. Spending 150 dollars a month at this place and got a credit for food? UNACCEPTABLE! therefore I will upload a picture of the nail and to show how they treat their loyal customer.

When I used to work in West LA, I used to come to Jin Jiang all the time for lunch. It’s cheap-ish Chinese food, better than Panda Express. The restaurant definitely needs renovation as the décor feels old and outdated. I always thought the food was average. I used to get the Kung pao chicken all the time for lunch all the time. It was decent, nothing too spectacular. Once I moved jobs to Torrance, I didn’t give this place a single thought. But, someone mentioned to me that they added a few items to their menu and their basil chicken tofu was excellent. So, I decided to give this place a try for dinner. I ordered the basil chicken tofu that was recommended to me and it was excellent! The dish includes fried tofu and has a sauce over it which includes chicken and basil. All the sauces worked well together. It was excellent. My other go to dish(aside from the kung pao chicken) is the string beans, which is pretty good. I always ask them to cook it well done, because sometimes it’s a little too crunchy for me. Ever since I discovered the chicken basil tofu, I have been venturing here more often. The food always comes out quickly, which is a plus if you want to have a quick dinner. I will definitely be coming back here for my Chinese food craving.

Went for lunch with my colleagues at work. An average Chinese place for lunch. The price was very reasonable. The food was fresh bit the taste wasn’t there. Had better Chinese food in LA for sure. Had their lunch special with came with hot and sour soup and salad. The salad was all lettuce but not fresh. The hot and sour soup could have been hot it was more warm. The orange chicken was decent but the quantity if rice for three of us was not enough. I tried substituted my steamed rice that can with the lunch special for fried rice and offers to pay extra for that. However, u was told if I want fried rice I have to order it as a separate entrée. I think they can easily add fried rice substitution in their lunch menu for extra cost.
