JJ Video RIP. I drove by today, and there was an indecipeherable (from the street) sign probably stating that there were vermin or such. Oh wait, that’s Doughboys. Doughboys RIP.
Seriously, this video store was beyond cool. I used to rent 3 videos for like 5 bucks, and sometimes (shhh) DVDs were available before their official release date. I don’t mean that last part.
The owners were this friendly Korean couple with Korean soap operas on a loop.
Blockbuster is an evil conglomerate, so I guess I’ll hit the Fairfax Library for movies. National Geographic on DVD here I come.
