I was referred here by the Fashion Island location to order some shirts that the Fashion Island KS did not have in stock. Ordering the shirts seemed like a burden to the sales associate. They already had it on hold and all I had to do was call in and pay. The sales associate who took my payment seemed annoyed that I wanted to change sizes, but hey, it was around 6 or 7, she probably had a long day at that point, so no harm no foul. She promised to either call me back or email me my confirmation/receipt/tracking number. So I called the store the following day and tried asking for something, ANYTHING to confirm my purchase. She gave me the run around and basically kept on saying that UPS would email me my tracking number and that they didn’t have anything to give me until they picked up. I finally had to break it down to her… In my past experience, when I would ship something to a client, I would print the UPS/FedEx label and wait for the them to pick it up, BUT I WOULDSTILLHAVE A TRACKINGNUMBERTOPROVIDETOMUCLIENT. Or at the least, offer to email a copy of the receipt or just anything to confirm the purchase. After I told her what’s up, she finally was able to read off my tracking number. Of course the first 2 times she read it so dang fast that I had to ask her to repeat it slowly(I mean, you’re already pissed at me for making you work, do you really want me to call you back just to make you repeat it again?)

Always makes me happy coming to this store. So vibrant, fun, colorful and filled with amazing merchandise! Have always been a big fan of their handbag pieces and even their iPhone and computer accessories. Most recently though I have fallen in love with their timepieces! Their designs are very elegant, clean and girly. Especially love their two tone stainless steel pieces! Definitely on my shopping list!

Went to get some christmas shopping done, had four people on my list, even with my Kate Spade bag in hand, couldn’t even get greeted by the three employees that were too busy singing with the store music and staring at themselves in the mirror, ALL while being the ONLY customer in the store. I made sure to leave and I will do my business online.

1 star for the gorgeous jewelry I bought. 1 star for the friends and family 30% off sale. 0 stars for service. I came in here today because I saw online that they were having a 30% off sale which was over today. I had been coveting this pretty bangle and thought that the regular price was a bit steep. So, I was super excited to come to the store in search of said bangle. Anyways, we walked in and my shopping companion saw the bangle! Score! It was the last one too. We waited over 10 minutes before anyone even greeted us or offered us help. Wow. Really? I had to actually make eye contact with a salesperson and ask for help! WTF? While she was checking to see if there were some new bangles available, another salesperson approached me and asked if I wanted to try some rings. I asked to see this delicate gold ring, tried it on, and loved it! Unfortunately, the one I tried was the last one in my size. I asked her about the 30% off sale and she was like, well did you see it online? Do you have an email? Do you have the email with you? Um no. I saw it online and that’s what prompted me to come in to your store. BTW, I had overheard her telling other customers about the sale, so wtf? Why was she giving me such a hard time? Geez. Anyway, I finally go to pay for the items. I ended up buying 4 pieces of jewelry and asked for 4 different boxes. Obviously, each piece needs to have its own box! I could tell the saleslady was not too happy about that. Why does she care? It’s not like they are her boxes! Plus, I spent way over $ 100! Not like it should matter what I spent, but still, be nice. While she was ringing me up, I asked her if the ring I bought had crystals on it. She said, well, they aren’t diamonds. UMM, NOSHITSHERLOCK! I knew they weren’t diamonds, but I wanted to know if they were crystals or rhinestones! No need for the damn attitude! I was so disgusted after her lame remark. I just wanted to leave. She gave me my bag and didn’t even pretend to smile. Next time I have the urge to go to Kate Spade, I’ll pass. Not in the mood to be treated like a second class citizen.

If you’re looking for a very classic handbag, or wallet for your Mom, Sister, Girlfriend, Significant Other, Wife, Friend etc., this is the place. Kate Spade makes wonderful, well crafted, timeless pieces as well as shoes and some clothing. The service hear is top notch which is a rarity in Los Angeles. I was buying for my sister’s birthday and was going back and forth between Cole Haan, Dooney & Bourke, Gucci & Louis Vuitton. Kate Spade’s price point is about the same as Cole Haan, Dooney & Bourke. What sold me was the service. I was a looky loo at first, then I got a thankyou not for coming in, then a call about new products. Since they took the time to contact me(Tameye), I went in and purchased a wallet. To top it off they were having a special sale in which I saved over $ 100. I will definitely be back during the holidays. If you prefer classic over trendy, check out Kate Spade.

Kate Spade, a New York City-based magazine editor back in the mid-80’s, launched her handbag line in 1993 and I fell in love. Despite the fact that I thought Mademoiselle, the magazine she worked for, sucked. I still think Mademoiselle sucks. Anyway, I digress. I fell in love with Kate Spade’s bags because sturdy and uncluttered design + unobstrusive branding have just always appealed to me. And she nailed that aesthetic on the head. When Neiman Marcus bought her out, I wasn’t too worried that anything would change. But, when Neiman Marcus sold to Liz Claiborne, something in the back of my mind told me that wheels would start to come off and I would witness the dark descent of the Kate Spade line into something that would sear my eyeballs with its ghettofabulousness. And I was right. But there are a few Kate Spade bags left that still retain some brand integrity — even under the Liz Claiborne umbrella. And, if you love(classic) Kate Spade as much as I do, you’ll know which ones those are. Better snag them now while you still can.
