This place is on point! K.P. keeps me and my boy fresh every week. We stumbled upon this place a couple of months ago, and have been coming back ever since. The place is kind of small, but it’s still very welcoming. The music is always on point, and everyone makes you feel welcome. I would have to agree and say that this is the best barbershop on Melrose. I live in Hollywood, and I’ve had some flaky and shaky barbers, but this place always comes correct. Thanks you guys!

KP, the man to go to. I was around the area trying to find a decent barber. I went to others down the street only to be told they couldn’t use blades to trim my beard. I walked by this place and it was gold. KP, took care of me. Super humble guy. I recommend this place.

Best barbershop in LA! They get you in and out! Keep your fade tight, line up right, they even have snacks if you’re a little hungry! It’s in the perfect location right on Melrose. You can get a haircut then grab a bite or shop on Melrose right after! My barber of about 3 years is «G»! It’s hard finding that perfect barber that knows exactly what their doing with the clippers! Glad there’s Katie J’s!

I’ve been going here for about 4 years now and would have it any other way. J is the owner there get your hair done by her or the other barber in the first chair. Everybody in there walks out with a smile and that to me is a PLUS

Kaite J’s Barber Shop is THE best barbershop on Melrose! I have been going to J every since I moved to Los Angeles (8 years strong). I have a certain loyalty a barber that consistently «dips you». I walk in feeling like a 2 and walk out feeling like an 11! J always takes care of you from a great cut to refreshments to catering to the music you like to be played while you get your cut. The customer service is excellent and it’s a great guest experience.
Tucked between Formosa and Alta Vista on Melrose OPEN 7 days a week with decent prices and excellent haircuts Katie J’s is a must visit for your next haircut!

Katie J’s is the spot! J is super flexible, super cool, as are the other barbers, and the atmosphere is cool. It’s right next to Generation8 tattoo, and across from LaLa’s on Melrose.
All of us have had that «please don’t **** up my hair» moment. Trusting a barber can be difficult, certainly if it’s a new barber to you, but I can assure you J does not disappoint!
Open 7 days a week too!
I’d give 10 stars if I could!

Tiger from Tiger Boxing Gym has had his hair cut by Greg, of Katie J’s, for years… following him from his last shop. This place is so small you have to look to find it. Just 3 chairs, 3 barbers. The vibe is great and we are always happy with the results! Highly recommend!
