This is the worst hair salon I’ve been to. Yes, the manager was very professional; but the other workers were horrible. They were so unprofessional it seemed as if they were just random part-time workers who were not educated on hair designing. Last time I went to do an ombré hair color. When bleaching my hair, they had to wash it off with cloth because they had done it the wrong way. After the dying process, I was satisfied with the results. However, the dye washed off/away after a few days; and all I did was wash my hair according to the way the manager had instructed me to. It was such a waste of money, it costed me freakin $ 200. If you have abundant money that you need to waste, then I would recommend this place. But if you want actual good, satisfying results at a reasonable price, I would recommend you look somewhere else.

This is long overdue. I come to this neck of the woods to get my eyelashes done and have been doing so for a very long time with Allen who works in the back. Amazing! One day I really needed my hair done badly/desperately, and I mean badly. I decided to give them a try even though I had only seen Asian women here getting their hair done. They always say hello and are very very nice and courteous to me, so I said what the heck let’s see. The service was first class such as getting my hair done in Beverly Hills at the posh overpriced salons. All of their products and machines to do hair including conditioning my hair which was thoroughly needed was just wonderful! They highlighted my hard to highlight hair that usually turns orange, to a beautiful golden blonde color. I would recommend them to any nationality if they can do my frizzy wanna be curly and straight fro ball. They straightened it perfectly and even curled it for the most reasonable price I would not have guessed. Definitely a must try no regrets!

I go back to this hair saloon today to color my hair. The service is really excellent. They just not color my hair but they did also treatment without asking me to do it. They are truly concerned to my hair and they know what they are doing. I saw my hair transformed from dull, curly, dry and lifeless hair to a shiny, soft and manageable straight hair. Kim and her staff are really nice and approachable. I will highly recommend this saloon to anyone! Good job kim and your staff. Keep up the good work. You guys are amazing:))

I tried many other places around the world since I travel a lot. Designer Kim, she’s very professional, friendly, thoughtful(she’s concerned of my hair condition), and talented in cutting and coloring. She consistently attends Vidal Sassoon classes every season to keep up with new trend and techniques. However, she does an excellent job translating the seasonal trendy hair to everyday wearable hairstyle when you ask her.

This place is absolutely amazing. im not that really of a picky person and what not, but this place was really really AMAZING. Haircut is really cheap, i got mine for 10 $ and it was professionally done, not like those other cheap haircut places. They asked me if i wanted something to drink, or if i felt uncomfortable at all. The dealt things professionally and got things done to the point. Ask specifically for KATECHO when u go there, she is perfect.

Highly recommended by my mother so decided to get my hair done here. I am usually always worried when I go to a Korean hair saloon because they love to chop my hair off, even if I beg them please don’t accidentally make it too short. Well immediately I could tell that this place is different then all the other places I been too. The hair stylist was examining my hair and checking the overall health of my hair(it was in pretty crappy condition) and wanted to know the history of my hair and proceeded to treat my hair. She is the first Korean hair stylist that I have ever been to that suggested LONG hair! She gave me a perfect trim with nice layering and the magic perm is what I always wished for not flat as a board. Even though I sat for almost 6 hrs total starving since I didn’t eat breakfast and lunch… it was totally worth it! It is a little pricey compared to other Korean hair salons but you will love the results it is worth the few extra bucks. All the assistants are so friendly and do a great job as well. The place looks nice and they are going to be adding a nail saloon soon. The parking lot kind of sucks tough but I didn’t drive so I didn’t care. Excellent Service… Highly Recommend!

I’ve been to lots of hairdressers but this place may be the best yet. The owner and principal stylist is knowledgable and skilled, and she gave me what I wanted with good pointers on how to look better and take better care of my hair. Also she called me back on the next day to make sure that I am comfortable with my new hair style. I highly recommend this place as I have received many compliments on my new hair style.

When my friend found out what I was paying for a haircut, she insisted I come to this salon. You don’t have to speak korean — they speak english. It isn’t the fanciest but totally professional and just as good as my Bev Hills salon for about third the price! Going is also a great excuse to go to korean BBQ. :)

I call the day before and schedule an appointment for 2:00pm, intending to go tutor a kid a couple hours later. I arrive 10 – 15 minutes before my appointment time and approach the entrance to find that it is locked to my surprise, but I peer inside to see that people are bustling inside… I cannot deduce any possible reason why the door should be locked because, first, I have an appointment scheduled very soon, and second, the salon is for all intensive purposes, open, telling by the customers moving about inside. As many of you might be thinking by now, I should have fled the place right there and then, but I didn’t. Yes, like a bad horror movie, I did walk in despite all the warning signs. I changed myself into a robe and plopped into a chair for a good hour(yes, one full hour) before someone noticed me and shampoo-ed me. I sit waiting again, my wet hair causing my robes to soak at the shoulders for a good while. Miss Ji Young finally pops me into a chair and leaves me. Another half hour later, I got up flustered and told her I really need to be somewhere. She nods at me indistinctly kind of wandering and snipping hairs of clients in a rather schizophrenic manner, not really concentrating completely on one client at a time. During my wait, I had managed to find a picture of a shoulder-length style and gave it to her for reference when she came round my way. In the end, I somehow owned a frizz worthy of a poodle, the frizz worsening at the end of the length of my hair… evidently, Miss Ji Young thought I had naturally straight hair when she was doing the cut… and I don’t… I also suddenly had short and blunt bangs which I don’t even know how that happened. The girl in the picture I was clutching to for reference had long side bangs that swept below her eyes and down to the tip of her nose … mine had been clipped to well above my eyebrows and frizzed up into a ball there as well. I swatted and beat at it ferociously to no avail, trying to sweep it to one side, which it would not do! So I had this cross between blunt-cut /side bangs if that’s even possible. Someone please confiscate Miss Kim’s scissors now. I was there for a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes for a cut. Just a cut. For the majority of the 2 hrs and 15 minutes, I spent waiting. And I am now stuck with a do that even my flat iron cannot fix completely.

i dont go to the hair salon. i go to the back of the salon to get my eyelashes done. i’ve been to a couple places to get my eyelashes done before, and she is probably the best. It takes about 2 hours to get the full set… I dont know how much the full set is, because i first went when there was a promotion for 40 dollars! i know crazy! and i’ve been going for refills ever since. refills are 60 bucks… but she does an amazing job! you cant get that price and quality elsewhere. p. s. no credit card. cash only! i dont think she works for the salon. they just gave her a little room at the back and works independently.

My last hair stylist damaged my hair. She kept perm solution on WAY too long and I was left with damaged goods. It feel out by the handfuls. My once glorious head of hair was now just full of split ends and broken strands. **SIGH** Kim Ji Young to the rescue… Dan da ra dan!(jingle jingle) I came here after a quick lunch with my mom. She advised that alot of younger stylish girls come here to get their hair done. Ok, now that I dismissed my last stylist and in need of a new one, I bit the bullet and mosied my way over here right after lunch. The staff of 3 were GRREAT! There’s the owner who gives instructions, stylist INA who did most of the work, and another lovely gal who shampoos, sweeps, and does most of the small tasks that when added up, really made my appointment worthwhile. They gave me root highlights. No biggie, I’m a seasoned veteran when it comes to touchups. I liked that they kept re-checking the foil to make sure the color wasn’t over-processed and removed the ones that were started first and then gradually it was all removed. This makes much better sense than to take them all off at once. Ok, so the best part was the hair manicure. Basically, it’s a deep treatment that gets combed into your hair and scalp. Then they wrap you in plastic and sit you under a seated dryer for about 30 minutes. When I mention the little thing that i like here, this is what I mean: First, it was a hot day and I was more than hot sitting under the dryer. The gal walked by me and made a slit on the plastic that was close to my forehead. Omg, it was instant relief! Next, after the dryer, she came and put a cold wet towel over my plastic wrapped hot head. Talk about lifesaver! Another instant relief. And her shampoos? Thorough and a nice massage to finish it off. So back to my hair. It was instantly shiny and soft again. And guess what? Few strands still fall off, but it’s not the handfuls like before. I’m happy. $ 150 spent but well worth it. She advised to wait a month for a perm. INA promises that she will give me waves to kill for! this saga will be continued…
