this place has everything Korean. from traditional Korean drums and musical instruments to ceramic pottery, it has a wide variety of things you can purchase! there are also items you can purchase as gifts for birthdays and holidays, too! if you can’t find it in the store, the owner, Billy will do his best to find it for you. the owner is super sweet and extremely friendly. oh yeah, they have an online store for those who are too far away. shout out to the owner: thanks billy for all your help!

One of the nicest owners i have ever met. To be honest this place is super hidden, along with being quite messy and FILLED with items. But going here and talking to billy makes it one of the best things. The store itself is just teeming with history, and talking to billy is worth it. Apparently there is an online store which is how he usually runs business. Note: he apparently does custom phone cases now, and will only charge 20 $. For a custom case that is actually a steal.

I first walked into Koreana Gifts and Arts with the intention of just purchasing a Korean dancing prop but I got more out of that store than that item. The store is a wonderful treasure trove of Korean products at a great price but the best treasure in the store is the owner, Billy Yoon, and his spunky dog, Aero. Billy was so friendly and inviting that I spent more time in the store than I intended to but it was well worth it. We had a captivating conversation of Korean American history and the struggles that faced immigrants coming to the U.S. He also shared his family photos with me and I felt incredibly lucky seeing another side of U. S history that is typically ignored. Billy is incredibly knowledgeable and is quite a resource to have when shopping around the store. The store itself is almost like a museum because it carries many traditional items. However, you can also find many modern items relating to Korean culture as well. It’s unfortunate that I live so far away because I would be visiting the store as often as I could! I rarely give 5 stars for any establishment but this one certainly earned its stars.

After becoming Facebook friends with Billy, I decided to pay a visit to his store since I generally like to meet as many of my Facebook friends in person as possible especially those who I interact with frequently. The owner, Billy Yoon, is a very nice man and has a beautiful dog. His family is either 3rd or 4th generation Korean American. This store has a wide range of unique products at an affordable price. I highly recommend paying a visit to this store and you will learn about Korean culture and products. There is plenty of street parking, and it is probably best to let Billy know when you are coming. He is so friendly that he shared his family photos with me and it was a true gem because it is rare to see Korean Americans in the United States that long ago. I told him that his family pictures belong in a museum! I bought a book called Korean American Adoptees. I still need to find time to read that book, and I want to give it to my friend who is a Korean American adoptee. They have nice mother of pearl items, instruments and all sorts of cool stuff. Check it out!
