LA Cutie’s Nails & Eyebrow Studio

I had been looking for a new salon since my old nail guy moved. This one is about 5 minutes by my house, I saw the reviews some were good some were bad. I thought I just give it a try.
The salon it self is cute very modern I went in and there was no wait time. I got a gel mani and after I left I could see I had some bubbles and I could see streaks on one nail but I’m not picky so no big deal. The gels only lasted 5 days they started peeling from the sides. Like other reviews say this place has potential but needs new employees that know what their doing.

i would give this place no stars if that were an option. fucking horrendous. i wish i could say good things about it because it’s a new business and it’s by my house. i really like the ambiance. i’ll give them that. it’s decorated with excellence. however, their staff’s services are horrendous. i got my eyebrows done here by laura and it was the most excruciating pain i’ve ever felt in my life. i’ve never been in that much pain from getting my eyebrows threaded. and my eyebrows still looked like shit after. i highly recommend that if you want to get your eyebrows done and you’re in the area, look up moolian’s eyebrows on Unilocal.she threads my eyebrows perfectly and makes the process pain free. might i add, i got a pedicure by a hispanic lady who graduated from maronello. worst pedicure i’ve ever gotten in my life. she only did one thin coat. my toenails would have looked better if i painted them at home myself. my solution: hire better employees. this place has so much potential to grow. the owners have good intentions. i’m here to tell you, your business is not going to make it if you don’t find quality employees.

Great find in mid city-​we really needed a nail salon in the area! They did a great job on my nails and it was quick friendly clean and reasonably priced-​not a ton of frilly extras and no massage chairs but that’s cool with me. I’ll definitely be back.

Love this place is so clean. Very nice people and they really take the time to do whatever you ask them to do. I got my hair done and my make up and I love how they did it I definitely recommend this place

Love this place. They take their time to provide excellent service. One of my favorite part is they offer mimosas or champagne while you get your nail service. Their prices are worth the service too.

This nail salon is a hidden treasure! I’d like to preface the review by declaring that I am a manicure addict with many needs and demands. I have thin skin, therefore leaving without bleeding cuticles is a must. I have arthritis in my hands (the majority of the time manicures are painful due to the constant twisting and turning of the joints) so a gentle hand is also a must. And to top it off, I like black nails and I like them to be beautiful. every time. And of course I am not forgiving if the polish strays from my nail to the skin.
Having said all that, please know that I recommend this place highly, not only because they exceed my expectations and requirements but also because the quality is consistent.
The salon atmosphere is chic, clean, friendly and hygienic ! My nails look on point everytime and they even offer mimosas ! Pfffffttt! What more do ya want !?!

So I’m in the hood/​mid-​city wondering where I can get my nails done. Somewhere local I surmised but without the characters. A place that isn’t reminiscent of that scene in Baby Boy… I hop on Unilocal and I filter for what’s open at 11am on a Sunday– and lo and behold LA Cuties is open. I walk in and I’m impressed the vibe is modern reminiscent of Laque and I’m sold.
Except there aren’t any spa chairs and I’m sitting in this oversized white chair with my feet in those portable spa trays filled with lukewarm water. ok. But there’s 10% off on your first check-​in so I roll with the punches.
Except my hot towel isn’t hot. And the technician walks away and leaves a cold towel on my feet for a few minutes. Ok.
Except my pedicure looks pretty fucking good. And I haven’t been this satisfied in awhile.
And then the technician walks away to leave my pedi to air dry. Without a fan or UV light and I’m pretty done with the spot.
Sorry girls– you had potential but have some work to do.

I came here about a month ago as a walk in, they were closing in an hour and took me with no problem. The girls were super sweet and very talkative. It was refreshing to be able to communicate with my nail technician for once. For that, I would give the customer service 5 stars. However, the actual job she did on my toes was sub par, I could have done it my self much better. She clipped my toe nail off and made a weird shape, it literally looked like I had a corner of my toenail missing. I picked a glittery polish, and when I was done my feet had glitter everywhere instead of just on my toenails. It wasn’t worth what I paid.

This nail salon has been great both times I have come for manicures.
The first time, I wanted a regular manicure. Wanted to see how detailed and careful they were with nails. The young lady that helped me was friendly and knew what she was doing.
Second time, I had Raquel try a new design. Raquel was detailed with my nails and careful. She and the owner, recommended certain colors and designs.
I haven’t tried their pedicure, but soon.

The atmosphere is very cute. I was offered a mimosa which was a nice touch. Now only if their manicures and pedicures were as nice as the décor I would have given more stars. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure, I had 2 technicians working on me and it still took over 2 ½ hours. I was so ready to go! After 2 ½ hours, the pedicure was just okay, it looked like my 8 year old niece could have done a better job. By the time I got home the polish on my toes had started to wrinkle because there was way too much polish. My gel manicure was not sealed on the tips and cuticles were feathered. Its been a week and it looks like I haven’t gotten a pedicure in over a month.

Loved this salon! Had a mimosa and a relaxing pedicure. The décor was really cute and the chairs were comfortable. Customer service was great too I’ll definitely be back

Excellent service … I guess their A/​C wasn’t working but they had plenty of fans to keep the customers happy! Raquel is amazing!

I was thrilled to see this place open, and it is pretty nice! Beautiful decoration, good service (offered a mimosa or water when I came in) and they fit me in quickly, which I thought was great… But unfortunately I had a gel mani/​regular pedi and wasn’t so pleased with how they turned out. For the first time ever, my pedi (which usually lasts 2 – 3 weeks) had missing polish on 6 toes in 48 hrs. Plus, the tech dug into my nailed so hard it left painful bruises on my big toe. And now it hurts to wear closed toe shoes. Add that to the lopsided gel on one of my fingers and it was a bad investment overall. Not sure if she was rushing and being haphazard so I may try again, but for now my search for a great nail spot continues.

Amazing customer service! I had my eyebrows done, fill and pedicure and the girls truly pampered me! They are sweethearts. The décor is beautiful and very CLEAN! It’s not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and they really give you your money’s worth. I will definitely be coming back.
