Awesome tasty burritos and chips! The Los cabos shrimp and baja fish are delicious. Fast too!

This place is so nice. They gave us free hats and free desert. The food is amazing and the people are just too nice. 5⁄5 stars for this place.

La Salsa is our favorite place for quick, easy, inexpensive(as opposed to cheap) casual Mexican fare. Yes, I know there may be places that offer better food, and a few others that are cheaper. But if you want a filling, easy, inexpensive delicious dinner(like under $ 10/person), it’s hard to imagine any place beating La Salsa. We get burritos here for when we’re heading for a picnic near the beach at Santa Monica, or when I’m heading home after class on Saturday afternoons and we just don’t feel like cooking. We always get the Vera Cruz burrito with fish. The salad that comes with it is excellent — fresh and consistent every time. The burritos are always made perfectly, and, unlike their competitors, aren’t stuffed 80% with filler. Easy delicious dinners for $ 8 a person are not easy to come by. We love this place!

Everyone knows how great the food is at La Salsa. Fresh, delicious, and a great deal. What I didn’t realize was what a great catering option it also is. Last week I needed a last minute lunch for my staff that had to work the holiday week. We had done the pizza and sandwich thing to death, so wi was looking for a new idea. Someone suggested Mexican. I called La Salsa and spoke with Ric. He was helpful and incredibly accommodating. We ended up with a taco bar for 30. Chicken and steak, cheese, guacamole, 2 kinds of beans, rice, lettuce, and of course tons of amazing salsa. Even 2 salads. Everything was ready right when I got there for pickup. I’m sure delivery would have been an option if I had given them more time. So freakin’ good and made everyone happy. You can’t beat delicious and fun. We will definitely use them again. Next time for the whole staff of 150!

Although it is a very small building, the food ended up tasting very delicious. We ordered the California burrito which was excellent, especially for vegetarians. The fish tacos were decent, but the fish wasn’t very high quality. They offer a salsa bar with different salsas such as jalapeño, cranberry, and a couple other mild sauces. Overall it’s a great place for some quick and easy Mexican food!

The review is for the cranberry salsa! Looks like it replaced the mango one. Wow, just a hint of heat and not too sweet. Didn’t go with anything I ordered, but had to try it. They should sell it by the pint! Or maybe put a turkey meat burrito on the menu?

There’s a million other burrito places that TRUMP this. Ordered an Asada Burrito, it was bland, and the salsa bar did not help. Also, they tossed a few loose chips at the bottom of my bag. I would honestly rather go to Baja fresh than this place. The place was also dirty

They’re better than most of their competitors. I used to go to the Poquito Mas nearby but the last two times I was so grossed out by it that I had to find somewhere new to go — it’s a bit farther away from home but worth the drive. The burritos are great — better than Chipotle and Baja Fresh. The salads are also pretty good. Great salsa bar. I’m a fan!!! It is super cramped in there, so I dont’ ever dine in. — 1 star for that!

I’m having a good time going back there every week or so, trying other menu items because they give free drinks if you save the receipts. Anyhow, this time I tried the Grande burrito. I saw them making it right in front of me — didn’t look very interesting but it really did taste good — their salsas are better than their competitors’, that is for sure. Maybe it was the salsa that made it taste better? I couldn’t eat the whole burrito for lunch as I have a small stomach so ate the other half for dinner. I wish they’d give a few more chips — theirs are good and taste even better with the salsa.

I know, I know. There are probably 38 better Mexican joints within a half mile of this La Salsa location. But when you’re looking for something familiar(especially when you’ve got a hungry kid in tow), you head to the tried and true. My shrimp burrito was good sized and tasted just fine but had way too much cabbage for my liking. A little cabbage is fine and goes a long way. A lot of cabbage is filler. The salsa bar had a good selection and was neat and tidy. The front counter person was also very pleasant. It was an «A-OK» experience, nothing bad, nothing great.

Just left La Salsa with some friends, and I had a wonderful experience! The food was great, and the service was even greater! Rosa is a fantastic addition and she was really, really nice(she offered to bring utencils to the table when she really didnt have to) and asked if we enjoyed our meals(which we did). I’ll definitely come back again. Thanks Ric!!!

Claudia, who took my order and rang me up, was very nice. She greeted everyone and accommodated our little adjustments, more friendly than some in fast-food. And when I noticed that the TV in the front — large and loud enough to be unavoidable — was playing one of those godawful daytime spectacle shows where couples scream at each other over paternity tests and the like for the amusement of a hooting audience(about as unappetizing as UFC fighting, and possibly more degrading), I asked her nicely if she could change it, and she did, finding the Meredith Viera talk show a bit more palatable. The portions are modest, but the food dependable. They served my two-taco plate in a styrofoam sectioned plate. It would be so nice if they used reusable stuff, but they are in tight quarters here and have no room to wash it. The sections for the rice and beans are small. I got two orders of beans instead of rice, and I still wanted more beans. They were fine — nice texture though not very flavorful… but that’s what all the salsas are for! There were four shrimp in one taco and one piece of fish in the other, each with a wedge of avocado. Both pretty tasty once you added some salsas. I guess I would love more food, but realistically, it’s probably not possible for $ 8 Plenty of salsas — six different kinds — on hand, along with jalapeños, cilantro, onions, picked carrots and chile. The salsas are in the back room, which was notably cool and air-conditioned. And no TV. Interestingly, even the salsa marked«very hot» was not very hot, but I enjoyed the meal, though I ate too fast, as I often do in fast-food environments, my own fault :-/

I hate writing bad reviews but the attitude the lady had makes me want to. I’m never coming back. It’s 7:20pm my boyfriend and I are looking at the menu and the lady goes«Excuse me, are you going to order because we want to close early?» What… On the sign they said they close at 8pm. If they’d rather leave early than allow us to eat, then that is a place I don’t want to come back to. The attitude of the cashier and the guy making the burritos really threw me off. Customer service is important and I feel like this place has none. We wanted to eat inside and enjoy our food but we weren’t allowed to because they wanted to close the store early. You can find much better Mexican food in la than this place that won’t even be slightly courteous to their customers.

Probably would never go back to this place. I ordered an overstuffed grilled asada burrito. Half of the burrito was salsa, a teaspoon of beans and pinch of meat. Where you order is where they make your food. The place is so small, anything cole land in your next meal.

つº oº つ RAISEYOURCUTLERY つº oº つ I’ve been going to La Salsa for years, so I am undeniably a fan of their food. I’ve tried various items, but really only one thing on the menu has kept me coming back, and that’s their nachos. They make a respectable plate of nachos, it inexplicably has everything that makes nachos good and nothing that makes nachos suck. 2 kinds of melted cheese, sour cream, guacamole, beans, some kind of mystery sauce(their site calls it a roja sauce, but I’m not fooled. Roja = Red. VERYCLEVERLASALSA). Plus, they have a pretty solid salsa bar, their avocado salsa is consistently good. The reason they don’t get a full five stars is because just about every other entrée on the menu is ‘so-so’ or ‘bleh’. Nothing else warrants a return trip. Just the nachos, which are pretty great. — The Gourmand League

La Salsa is good. I feel like it gets a bad rap but I always get the 3 crispy tacos — one pork, beef and chicken. The staff is friendly and their salsa bar is good and flavorful. I feel like of all the similar concepts, their salsas are the best in the city. Their employees, however, wear gloves inconsistently. I’ve been in a couple times and saw them with no gloves and other times with gloves. Kinda ick.

First time going to a La Salsa — got the three taco combo and it was $ 6. Not bad! Similar salsas to Baja Fresh. They’ve got TVs to watch sports on, if that’s your thing. You can order items a la carte but you have to ask. It’d be nice if they could include prices for individual tacos/enchiladas. But hey, it was $ 11 for two of us for lunch.

Okay, traffic and hunger makes a girl cranky. So I obviously had to pull over to the nearest decent-looking eatery. And this place definitely did not catch my eye, what with it sandwiched between a shoe depot and a donut shop. And I almost turned around the moment I stepped inside– so cramped and sad-looking– TV blaring like a nursing home. However– tummy grumbling gave way to an informative and polite cashier who was patient with my questions and recommended a bomb not-so-typical Mexican dish: the chile lime salad. It sounded ok on the menu, and when I got it, I was disappointed by the pathetic amount of steak and its simplistic appearance. I covered it in salsa, anticipating its bland flavors. But I was quickly humbled! This salad was delicious! I don’t know what they put on their steak or in dressing, but it was one of the best salads I’ve had in a long time.(Café Intermezzo in Berkeley, you are missed!) I didn’t even mind the four lettuce butts in my dish. The only thing I was upset about was my faux pas of salsa-ing the salad(akin to A1-ing a steak or putting salt on a chef’s dish). Okay, the other thing I was upset about was that it wasn’t bigger. But not really, since a girl has to watch her figure!

Great location… Right across the street from my work. I can walk there… good part? if you are going to drive its one of the few places around the area that actually has parking… Service is fast and people are friendly… Food is good and prices are fair… I’ve tried the salad, burrito and one of the bowls and they were all good… has a great salsa bar(I don’t eat any of it, but everyone else enjoys it) All my coworkers also enjoy the food, so try it, you probably wont regret it… You can pay with your card and don’t forget to take a mint on your way out!
