Walked in and asked if they make food to go. She said yes in a dismissive tone. I looked at the menu and asked if they had anything vegetarian. The answer was no. I asked if I just order a taco with some guacamole and cheese. The answer was no. Don’t waist your time this place is not worth it.

A little hole in the wall that serves amazing pupusas! Not greasy at all and so delicious. Dinner for two and 3 sodas = $ 17 bucks! Can’t beat that. Definitely has highly recommend it if you’re not looking for a fancy place!

My neighborhood pupuseria! This place serves big pupusas for $ 1.95, or $ 1.50 on Wednesdays! What a bargain. You do have to wait about 20 minutes but that’s because they’re making it fresh for you. I recommend the Revueltas or the Bean and Cheese. Usually 1 is enough for lunch and maybe 1 ½ for dinner if I’m really hungry. Mmmm… always good. Oh, make sure you go before 7:30pm, they tend to close early.

I have been coming to this restaurant since the early 1980s when i was a itty bitty child. I don“t know if it is the memories of growing up 2 blocks away. I seriously think that its because the pupusas are so good. They were delicious in the 1980s and even today when I go back I am delighted by the same delicious taste of pupusas revueltas and yuca frita con chicharron. mmmm

Man this place is off the beaten path but worth a visit. I was at Loyala for a work thing and am glad I gambled on this place. Really good burrito, I think I had the red chile, and the meat pupusa I had was awesome too. Super filling. I’d go back. I’m really surprised this place has not gotten more love.

Another pupusa joint worthy to be on my list! :) Michell told me about this place, for she literally has been coming to this pupuseria since she was a toddler. She is Salvadorean so I knew this place had to be legit! The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but no need to worry– we parked half a block away & made it safely to the restaurant & back! :) I ordered the same as always: a chicharron(pork) pupusa & a revuelta(pork & cheese)! $ 1.95 each they both satisfied my craving for Salvadorean cuisine, but I recommend the cheese & pork! oohhh the grease! mmmmmm…i simply love pupusas! but not how fattening they can be! Michell ordered a refreshing, tasty drink called«enselada” — it’s a mixture of fruits & fruit bits floating around in your cup, thus the name«salad(of fruits)! All in all, we left satisfied & with a full tummy! p. S.this is not a fancy place, more like a delicious hole in the wall! yum! Until the next pupuseria– adiós zipotes! :)

Cheap, hearty, greasy pupusas. They have a variety from which to choose, but two stood out to me. The chicharrones or pork pupusa and the green chile and cheese pupusa. The ingredients are very fresh and flavorful. After about two of these guys you’ll be set and feel slightly weighed down, but you’ll know the food has done its job.
