I have been attending LAVC on and off for almost 4 years now, and I am beginning to feel like it is my home away from home. When I first attended classes here there was a dingy little cafeteria — that felt more like the dining room of a prison rather than a College. Wisely, the overseers of LAVC’s future tore the place down in order to build a newer, and more appropriate dining area for her students. But that was, has, and will take at least 3 years. And so steps in — THELAVCFOODTRUCK The food truck has been parked in front of the bookstore now for years… and it is so effective and so much better than the old cafeteria that I feel kinda loyal to it. The staff is fast and friendly. Coffee is a buck and you can sidestep the long line in order to get it. They serve Mexican and American fast-food-fare… so burgers, breakfast burritos, tacos, and anything fried is ready to be had. Expect NO special dishes — no chef-ery — no creativity. But for decent food truck chow — this vehicle and its inhabitants are doing the work of God for the students of LAVC.
