Great neighborhood store with a nice selection of beers and wine.

I live nearby and usually stop in to buy lottery tickets. The Asian lady and Asian man that are usually there in the morning are always pleasant. The older white guy with the mustache and glasses seems to get pissed if you only buy lottery tickets. I guess he doesn’t know that the store gets a percentage of tickets sold, big winners and any tickets they cash. I say if you don’t want to sell lottery tickets, don’t contract with the state to do so. I can’t say that I have ever heard him say thank you unless I said it first. If not for his pissy attitude they probably would have gotten a better review. Customer service is pretty important to me. There have been plenty of times that I’ve walked up to the store and upon seeing him through the window turned around got back into my car and took my business elsewhere.

Eeek! Wine way overpriced for a grocery store variety, at best. Customer service nil. Pass on by, Unilocalers. You don’t need to get your wine on that much and you’re not going to find any spirit here! Go on to Von’s, Trader Joe’s, Pavillion’s BH or, for a great selection, K&L on Vine.

I didn’t come here at 11:00AM for booze(the old me would have but the new me tries to drink only on the weekends) but came here for newspapers for the dog. Yes, my dog pees on the Los Angeles Times. They seem to have a good wine selection but it wouldn’t be my first choice to stop here for wine. I always get them at Greenblatt’s or the Larchmont Wine and Cheese store. I personally prefer to shop at places where people will give me good recommendations for my budget. This place doesn’t really seem like they can give you the right recommendations. They also charge 50 cents if you charge less than $ 5.

They have expanded their wine selection! And last night I found out the hard way that they have a $ 10.00 minimum to use a credit/debit card.

You know, it’s not as bad as I thought. Sure, they might not have as great a beer selection as I was led to believe, but they ALWAYSALWAYS have Joose and even though the sign says Joose is almost $ 4 a can I don’t think I’ve ever been charged more than $ 3.25(including tax) which is only 35 cents more than 7 – 11! I shouldn’t complain!

It’s a twenty dollar delivery minimum. Open pretty late(11 or 12?). Prices might be a bit steeper than the grocery store, but they have a nicely varied selection of beer/wine/likker — I know I won’t look like I stopped at the corner store on my way to a wine snob’s house, put it that way — with all the usual basic grocery items as well. Plus the staff here = super nice.

I found out that this place delivered alcohol when i moved into the area and I’ve been ordering from them ever since. Great, friendly staff that remember you and what you like. While the prices are a little more than you would find at Ralph’s or Vons they are WAY cheaper than Pink Dot(and free delivery).
