STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT ANYTHING COLORFAST!
I bought 50 yards of pompoms from Rafael. Rafael told me that the pompoms were colorfast and suitable for washing. This was important as they were to go onto a custom-​made dance costume
When I was about to sew the pompoms on, I noticed that most of them had a strange white fuzz on them because part of the pompoms had not been either properly dyed or properly sewn. I brought them back and asked for a replacement. Rafael replaced them and I sewed on what I thought were good pompoms.
On the first washing of the outfit, half the pompoms fell off and the other half bled black dye onto the surrounding fabric. I now have to remove the pompoms and find a way to fix the stains of the black dye. The costume is effectively ruined because of these poor quality pompoms.
I showed Rafael what had happened and asked at least for the money back. He was such a weasel! First he claimed he’d never said the trim was colorfast. Then he said that he’d already been «gracious» in letting me exchange the previous pompoms (which had been defective, so of course he should have exchanged them). Then he refused to refund my money unless I brought him back the pompoms in the same condition in which he had sold them to me! That was clearly impossible as I’d sewn them onto the costume and now half of the pompoms had fallen off because of their poor quality.
In the end, Rafael, refused to make the situation right. He sold me poor quality merchandise — not once but twice! When it damaged my costume (which cost me over $ 500) he refused to take responsibility.
Anyone can have a bad batch of product. But a decent business stands behind their product and doesn’t make their customer suffer losses because of their greedy business practices. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT GOOD QUALITY TRIM THAT IS COLORFAST!
