This place sucks big time! All the cars are beat up and have no salvageable parts. Stay away! Tax is high as well. They don’t have 50% off sales anymore, now it’s 40%. I recommend checking ebay first.

Called the number online today and I reached a call center. A friendly agent told me that there were 3 toyota Matrix cars on the Wilmington pick your part lot… My husband was charged an entrance fee two times to enter two different lots. Only to find that they didn’t have any of the cars they said were on the lot… Staff on site were of no help and stated«I don’t guarantee anything»…very disapointed!

(February, 2016 update) begins: Price of admission is now $ 3. Primo is another $ 3. Prices of all parts were increased: see current price lists. 50% off days are now 40% off days (February, 2016 update) ends. ORIGINALREVIEW: There is the bigger LKQ pick your part down the street. There is the unrelated ecology parts a few blocks away. But what sets Help Yourself apart from those other two places are the following: Primo parts department in Help Yourself can easily be seen when you first walk thru main gate. So although you are used to paying $ 2 extra at LKQ pick your part down the street for their HIDDEN primo lot, only to find out nothing in there is what you need. Help Yourself primo lot is small and all the vehicles can be seen before paying to enter. So if you don’t like what you see, you don’t have to pay extra to go over there. Ecology doesn’t have a primo lot. Once you enter Help Yourself, this lot is well organized by small primo lot on left side. Gm vehicles on left side(after primo lot). Ford vehicles on far right. Imports in middle. Trucks/vans in middle and rear. Chrysler/dodge in rear and on left. It has a nice selection of vehicles. Especially gm and imports. Ford selection is about half of what gm is. Truck/van selection is decent. Chrysler/dodge are about the same as ford. LKQ down the street has an unbeatable selection of ford/gm/etc. But their selections stay longer than three months. Help Yourself tend to get rid of their vehicles before they are completely gutted. So no more than 7 weeks. Help Yourself has asphalt. Not dirt. Not loose gravel. Not pot holes. No wet oil every where. You can push a shopping cart through here and it is smooth(although they don’t have available shopping carts here). As you know, LKQ down the street has nothing but a combination of loose gravel, asphalt, mud, pot holes, wet oil, etc. Even though ecology has available shopping carts, the asphalt is loose, rough, with pot holes, and mud. So it’s a struggle to push carts though Ecology. Help Yourself cashiers are pretty nice and fair. I’ve seen the same ones time after time. They have been more than fair whenever I purchased parts. None of them tried to overcharge me for tiered items. They always kept it between g1 and g2. Ecology cashiers are fair as well. LKQ down the street has the worst cashiers. They will charge you high tiered rate, no matter what. Help Yourself parking lot is pretty clean and have speed bumps. Neat like a typical grocery store parking lot. Whereas LKQ down the street, has loose asphalt and pot holes. Same with ecology. Their parking is basically anywhere you want. Bottomline, this place is the best for this area. Just so you know, any LKQ pick your part location has their prices posted directly on website. So there are never any surprises. They also have their vehicle selections and dates posted on website as well. So you will know what is there and how long it’s been put out in yard. Ecology doesn’t have this. Last but not least, when its 50% off weekend, all of these places get crowded 30 minutes after they open. So if you come during those days, come before it opens and get decent parking and a nice place in line. They have rental tool place in lot. U can buy tools from a lot vendor. They have auto glass place. They have a lock/key mobile vendor in lot. Roach coach(food truck) is normally parked here. Bring cash to get in($ 2 entrance fee). No open toe shoes. They accept major credit cards and debit cards are treated like credit cards. So have id. Also, bring tools. I get tired of idiots asking to borrow my tools. Y come to a junk yard looking cute? You come here to get dirty. Come prepared.
