Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum!!! We had lobster rolls at Santa Anita race track carnival. There was $ 1 beer and hotdog booth so their truck seemed slow but it was definitely worth paying $ 13 each roll :) Their clam chowder was also yummy– there was Canadian bacon? Ham? Bacon? was in it. I loved the flavor of it.

I love a good lobster roll. While it isn’t like being on the shores of Maine for $ 13 you get a decent sized roll. People who expect a massive amount of lobster on a $ 13 roll need to check their expectations. Lobster is expensive to catch and transport. It isn’t chicken. I’ve definitely had more expensive rolls with a lot less meat. I’ve had rolls in Maine which blew my mind and the McDonald’s roll which was meh. I like that they give you the choice of the roll with butter(new england style) or with mayo. I like the simplicity of just having the lobster meat and butter. Also, for the people complaining the ones with butter are too simple and not creative: THATISTHEWHOLEPOINT. The whole point is the lobster meat is the star of the show not for it to be drenched in some awful sauce.

Extremely disappointed! First I waited 40 minutes in line and then I got the lobster bisque and even added extra meat for $ 3 to my order and I litterAlly was given three tiny pieces of meat in my cup! I gave a tip so I paid $ 19 for a tiny soup and barely any lobster. I would like to know who to contact because this was insane. I feel robbed!

Fantastic quality of lobster, especially from a food truck! But for $ 13 for a lobster roll sandwich the size of the palm of your hand… It’s not worth it. It’s basically 4 bites of food. Double the size and I’ll be back weekly! They say they get their lobster but also their bread rolls sent straight from New England. Really? Lobster I can understand, but having rolls shipped from the east coast? No wonder they are so expensive!

Oh my goodness! I love this truck! Their food, ALL of it is utterly delicious! Lobster Roll, Lobster Bisque & Clam Chowder, FANTASMIC! I have traveled to various locations to get the freshest lobster away from the water! I will always follow their locations on their website. Everyone who loves lobster, should do the same!

The hunt for the best lobster(excuse me, lobsta) rolls is over! These guys don’t mess around. the amount of lobster they provide you with makes the roll seem inadequately small, and covered with buttery goodness. They don’t even bother filling it with cole slaw, as most places do to make it seem more full. It’s all meat. Lobstatruck, I like your style.

The lobster meat is definitely good and the roll is buttery. However for the price of $ 13, the roll size was about the size of a baseball stadium hotdog bun and literally the lobster roll consisted of two things, lobster, and roll. It was delicious but yes it was not filling to be considered lunch so I probably won’t get it again. I think as much as I appreciate the generous amount of lobster I would prefer they make a filling roll. More bread, some thing to go with the lobster, some creativity.

If ever I go missing I’m most likely at the Lobsta Truck drooling over the succulent flesh of Larry the Lobsta’s unfortunate homicide. I have a maniacal love for lobster that dates back to my Bostonian days on the Back Bay. I pretty much love lobster anything, and the warm buttered rolls filled to the brim with tender butter coated lobster meat and served picnic style in a red and white checkered container reminiscent of the Hampton’s is my stairway to heaven. I could eat this every day of my life and die happy but being the neurotically health conscious fitness fiend that I am, it’s sadly not an option. I pretty much live in trendy yoga pants and the colorful beckoning trap of the red Lobsta truck is sadly my nemesis. This food truck is a triple threat. Lobster rolls, Lobster bisque„ Whoopie pies(crab rolls, fish and chips and fries in some locations) sadistically seducing both your wallet and your waistline. But ya.

This is the third time I’ve had lobster rolls from the lobsta truck. They are consistently good. Fresh flavour, well-coated with butter, and the lightweight roll is well prepared(buttered and toasted). There will be complaints about the price, and those are legitimate complaints. If you have ever visited one of the many seafood shacks in New England, the prices will make you cry a little. But it is a lot cheaper than a flight to Maine or Connecticut. Also I got to eat my lobster roll today in the 72 degrees sunshine while the East Coast is buried under feet of snow. Today I also tried the fish and chips. It’s a bit of an of odd preparation, with a dark, heavy batter, but crunchy and tasty nonetheless. Quite generous portions. If you don’t mind non-traditional fish and chips, I’d give it a try. Think of the lobster roll as an incredible appetizer, and the fish and chips as your main meal and you won’t be as freaked out by the price.

This place is on par with the lobster restaurants in San Francisco. The lobsters are fresh, fragrant, well done with delicious sides and very filling. Completely worth the price, worth the wait(15 minutes despite an empty restaurant) and great service. Definitely a place to try at least once. Plus parking is free and there’s a Walmart next to it…

Had $ 13 Lobster roll with butter on 10÷3÷15 when they were parked near Trader Joe’s and Ralph’s on Olympic. Texture of the lobster seemed odd and the bun, which was no different than a hot dog bun was too soft and flabby making it difficult to chomp on. Not that memorable in terms of taste either. Luckily there were few people on a Saturday night in this area so there wasn’t much of a wait. I’ve always been curious about Lobsta truck and now that I’ve tried it, I’m in no hurry to go back, but if it were my only option for lunch, maybe I would go back and try the Lobster Bisque and the Crab Roll. Truck seemed very clean including the metal counter holding napkins, etc. Cashier was pleasant and service was quick so overall 3 stars. **************** Key to my ratings: 5 stars = I had an outstanding experience 4 stars = Very good 3 stars = Fair to Good with maybe some glaring misses. 2 stars = Meh, not going back 1 star = Extremely poor service and/or product Disclaimer: My subjective opinion of my visit(s) to this establishment, I unequivocally make no guarantees anyone else will experience the same.

Good but expensive. For the same price, I’d prefer to get lobster at a sit-down near the beach. Perhaps the pricing is more for those inland who need lobster delivery. Not really for folks who live in the South Bay? We ordered 3 lobster rolls with butter and 3 lobster bisques. The bread was tasty and toasted, the lobster abundant but not as fleshy as those freshly cooked. This loses a bit of the mouth feel. The bisques were in really tiny containers. My toddler has snack bowls bigger than this. Can tell they stew with lots of lobster shells but perhaps did not use as much meat. Bill was ~$ 70 buckaroos. Holy moly! Someone’s NOT a cheap date!

Had the lobsta roll with butter! Oh so yummy. I wish it were a little bigger since I was still hungry after I ate the whole thing. The portions are more snack sized, or maybe I just have a big appetite. Friendly and fast service! Truck seems clean!

This truck was in Belmont Heights yesterday, and so I had to try their signature Lobster Roll. It’s basically a toasted roll with chopped lobster mixed with drawn butter.(You can get mayo instead of butter, but butter is apparently more popular). Overall, not bad, but not great. Imagine bread, lobster and butter because that is basically what you get. There are no other flavors or spices. And definitely not worth the $ 13 price tag. The portion is a bit on the smaller side, it won’t fill you up. I also tried the chowder, again nothing spectacular. Comparable to Progresso from a can.

I was a little skeptical to try lobster roll from a truck … for some reason, I thought it wouldn’t be as fresh or something. But the lobster roll w/drawn butter was so so sooo good. You have the option of getting it w/mayo or butter. I recommend butter! You can taste the butter flavor in the bread and they don’t skimp on lobster. The roll itself is a little small but it’s $ 13. It’s not a regular size roll because those usually run around $ 20+ at restaurants. Also, got a cup of New England clam chowder and it was really flavorful, with clams in almost every bite. It was served piping hot which is a plus.

Of course nothing beats enjoying Lobstah in New England but til my next trip East, Lobster Truck’s Lobsta roll totally hits the spot. At $ 13 a Lobsta roll, not cheap but so much better than teeny weeny overpriced lobster rolls I’ve tried at on restaurants menu. Splurge once in a while and treat yourself to the extra meat, for $ 5 extra it is totally worth it. You get an extra ½ portion of Lobstah goodness :-) Extra 5-stars today for the lunch treat, courtesy of Wescom Kindness campaign of giving back to the community. What a nice surprise to get in the long line and find out you’re getting a free lunch!

I have to give this truck an update with an extra star because I’ve had their competition… Cousin’s Maine Lobster. The lobster rolls and bread is better here at Lobsta. Cousin’s mayo lobster roll is stupid, all they do is squirt a line of mayo on it and place«normal» cold lobster meat on top. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but I seriously could have done that myself! All I’m saying is, if the Lobsta Truck and Cousins Maine Lobster trucks parked next to each other I will pick Lobsta any day.

Tasty rolls! They are small, but that seems to be the case most of the time. A lot of people seem to complain about the price but I’ve bought lobster meat to make my own rolls and it’s usually around $ 25 a lb! The stuff isn’t cheap! I like that they have an option to add extra meat for $ 3, I might do that next time! The lobster meat itself was very tasty. We also got fresh squeezed lemonade to go with it. A little sweeter than I like my lemonade but a nice refreshing drink on a warm day. They’ve been at the TJ’s in Manhattan beach(on MB Blvd) the last couple sunday’s and when we went around 1pm there were only a couple people in front of us, we waited maybe 10 minutes to get our food(someone in front of us had ordered about a dozen rolls).

I might need to rethink the LOBSTA We all know that GOOD seafood is gonna cost you in SoCal because we REALLY are NOT a known to be a seafood capital despite having an ocean full of fish down the ENTIREWESTCOAST of our state, especially when it comes to LOBSTA! Now I have friends that LOBSTA dive in our waters but to me it just doesn’t taste the same as LOBSTA from Maine or even parts of the South. Call me picky and I am especially when it comes to me spending my hard earn money of something I want. When it’s YOU feel free to have YOUR own OPINION on what you spend YOUR money on or the food YOU choose to eat! So I have seen several Unilocalers checking into this place and writing reviews. There were so many mixed reviews I wasn’t in a big hurry to try them out and keep it bookmarked for a long while. So on a loving HOT as H*LL afternoon at the Home Depot Tuesday Food Truck Round Up it caught my eye so I figured now was my chance to give it the olé college try and see how it goes. I got there a bit early as the truck event was just beginning to wind up so this truck wasn’t open yet which gave me the chance to check out the menu and see what other food trucks were showing up in case I wanted to change my mind. About 15 mins later they opened to a bit of a line so I went to another truck to get something else small for my dinner picnic, in the hopes that once I came back there’d be NOLINE! Ding, ding, sing I was right no line when I walked back about 10 minutes later. I still had not decided if I wanted the crab roll or the LOBSTA roll and after another minute standing in the blearing heat with the sun trying to pierce the skin on my face I went with the LOBSTA roll. I had a choice of mayo and butter so I got half and half. I figured it be the best of both worlds. I blinked and it was ready. I of course was a bit shocked at the size because I was expecting a much larger roll since I paid $ 13 plus tip. I almost wanted to ask for my tip back. Needless to say I WASNOTIMPRESSED with the teeny-tiny portion size and I could hear MYOWN voice saying… See this is one of the MAIN reasons why I am NOT really fond of food trucks. The dollar amount doesn’t seem to match what you get on some truck this being one of them. I wish I was kidding when I say that a $ 1.00 bill is larger than this sandwich. Once back in the car I unwrapped it to see it stuffed full of REALCRAB which was a bit of a relief but it still could have been bigger. NO I’m NOT gonna let that go, so I suggest you get over it! Picture me sticking my tongue out at you! I took a bit and nothing special. Didn’t really have too much flavor like I have had in other LOBSTA I have had! Not sure if they are flavoring the water they are cooking the LOBSTA in or NOT but I’m guessing NOT! I also ordered half mayo and half butter and didn’t taste either, which was annoying because it is NOT like they had a ton of orders it was just me so how could you get that wrong, especially after I just forked over $ 13 buck-a-roos? Overall I WASNOT impressed! The roll was just ok but certainly didn’t WOW me in the least. I did like the HUGE pieces of REALLOBSTA so I have to say BRAVO for that because most would have probably had that FAKETASTLESSCRAP I TRULYCAN’T STAND! The bread was NICE and soft and they toasted it which also was REALLYNICE! But I can’t see myself going back to this truck again. Not for what I spent, what I got and it was just meh!
