small but awesome little shop. Great soul and jazz section. A lot of great $ 1 records too. Most definitely worth checking out if you live in Los Angeles.

A GEM of a record store! I love that they specialize in local LA bands as well as other chill music currently going on in the scene. I talked to one of the girls who worked there and they said that they actually have a recording studio next store. HOW COOL! Thank you Lolipop for supporting the small bands that make up a integral part of the LA music scene

This is by far one of the best record stores I’ve been to in a very long time. Epicenter of a huge music scene centered in the north L.A. area, Lolipop definitely delivers with some awesome local music and great service. Grab some free buttons while you’re there, too!

Small little record store underneath a bridge in Echo Park. What they lack in stature, they make up for in excellent stock. Mix of used and new. Nice selection of funk/​soul (my main genre of collecting), indie, prog/​new wave, local, some hiphop, and a very pickable $ 5 and under section. Definitely saw LPs that I would come back another day to get.
They are a recording studio (next door) and label, with a nice wall featuring releases from the label.
Friendly staff, fair prices, good street parking. Will be back!
