Los Feliz Locksmith

These guys are terrible and unreliable. Don’t be fooled, neighbors, they are NOT Los Feliz Lock and Key which is a terrific operation. These guys are using their name. They do mediocre work and over charge.

I honestly feel like I was ripped off by gypsies! I was locked out of a friend’s apartment and I called several locksmiths… It’s annoying none of them can give you an estimate, even though they seriously unlock things ALL DAY??? With Los Feliz Locksmith, I got the same story: $ 29.95 to show up, then the «technician» would give his estimate. The girl I spoke with at the dispatch center (sounded like all of the other ones… Same hold music :-/​) said they start at $ 15 to unlock in addition to the $ 30 fee.
When the gypsy showed up an hour late, AND with halitosis (:() he said it would be an additional $ 125 to pick the lock or he could bust the lock. I told my friend and he said «NO.» and that a previous locksmith did it for $ 50 with the inflating wedge. I told the dude that, and he said he would call his boss and ask if he could do it without the fee.
He came back and said he could do it for $ 100 total. I said no again, and asked if he had the inflating wedge. He did and within 10 seconds, the door was open. $ 80 cash… He couldn’t give me that rate with a credit card; AKA pocket as much as possible.
I need to buy one of those wedges off Amazon for $ 15 so I can be a gypsy too!
