Always a pleasure coming here. Wholesome food even meat eaters can enjoy. Ordered the beloved macro bowl and it was as delicious as last time!

Tonight was my first time here. I ordered the coconut curry with veggies and tofu. The flavor was fantastic! But the noodles were so over cooked it was like eating glue. I’ll try them one more time.

First time in this place and we loved it! From Ventura, and we don’t have much to offer in terms of vegan and vegetarian food so this was a treat! The woman helping us was so friendly also. Great experience will be back soon!

Used to love this place but now… Slow service, grumpy staff and the food quality has gone down. Plus the portions are way over priced! So almost a great place to eat but I’m just fed up with the above. Such a shame as it’s the only healthy spot in my neighbourhood.

I thought it was boring. I got what the cashier recommended, the Macro meal. It was literally just bland boiled vegetables and rice. It came with a small container of yellow dressing like thing if you want to put it on the bowl, which added some flavor but it was just boring. The tofu was at least flavored. And the pickled veggies on the sided added a bit of flavor. Healthy doesn’t have to boring/flavorless like this…

This spot is cute, with lots of choices to check out. I wish I’d had more time, but I was in a lil rush, so I ended up getting some cornbread to go. I was originally looking to get a milkshake-y type drink but a matcha almond drink was a full $ 8! As other reviewers have noted, this is definitely on the pricy side, but I guess you’re paying for the ambience as the space itself is welcoming and airy… The cornbread was filling but uncomfortably salty on the crust. I’m not sure if I just got unlucky in choosing this, but I’d probably try this spot again as it has so much Unilocal love.

Super healthy food, I feel refreshed after brunching here! There was also outdoor seating which was a plus. I also got a chia smoothie, and loved it!

I heard M Café was good for vegan breakfast, so I decided to check it out. I ordered the breakfast burrito, add avocado for $ 1. The pastries in the case looked very good, but they were all super expensive($ 5-$ 7). It also creeped me out that just inches away in the same case is FISH. So, just a heads up, this place is NOTVEGETARIANORVEGAN. My burrito was tiny-the size of a sushi roll, and completely tasteless. No flavor whatsoever. The side sauce helped a little bit, but it still was not great. 6 bites of food for $ 9. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing-their lunch menu looked simple but tasty. I might give this place another chance in the future, but will not be in any rush to return.

M Café has become very«trendy» but I’ve always been a fan of the food. It can get expensive if you add a juice or beverage, but the meals themselves are reasonably priced given the quality of the ingredients they use(and you can definitely tell). I usually get the macro meal with either tofu or salmon, which is healthy, filling, and flavorful, but there are lots of things on the menu that I’d like to try. My bf got the Macro Yaki Soba(soup) which he really enjoyed. You definitely have to be appreciative of healthy food or you probably won’t enjoy M Café(I once brought some less than enthused coworkers here).

I know I say this every single time I discover a new hippity-dippity gem in Los Angeles, but how on earth has it taken me this long to get myself into M Café de Chaya… As a stereotypical crunchy granola Los Angeles native, I am thoroughly ashamed and embarrassed. With that being said, onwards and upwards, people! To make up for lost time, I went absolutely ham on my last visit(only if ham were macrobiotic, of course). After a good solid 15 minutes of deliberation(aka drooling over the menu), I decided to go for the M chopped salad, with the hearts of romaine, avo, cucumbers, chickpeas, herb-baked tofu, scallions, pickled radishes, carrots, roasted beets, tamari roasted almonds, tempeh bacon and tofu peppercorn ranch dressing… I mean, really. Tofu Peppercorn Ranch Dressing? Only in LA peeps. But what more could a girl ask for?! Oh, except for a pint of the Madras curry tempeh salad on the side, of course. If you’re at all hesitant about this, you need to slap yourself a bit silly. Initially, a friend and I had intended to split a small half pint of the salad. «Or should we do the pint?» My stomach was obviously doing all the talking. Upon overhearing the uncertainty in our voices, the kind man behind the counter actually put the transaction on hold and went to scoop us samples of the darn thing. «Um…we’ll take two full pints». I guess that’s what samples are for – to undo wrongs, and make them right. The M chopped salad was beyond flavorful. It was substantial and full of fun surprises and textures. Best of all, all the components were extremely complementary of one another. The tempeh bacon added just the right amount of smokiness, while the cucumbers and herbed baked tofu brought on the fresh. The avocado and the dressing provided a beautiful creaminess, while the pickled radishes offered just the right amount of bite and tang. Take my word for it – it’s good guys. And the madras tempeh salad? I think I’ve found my new addiction. I’m skipping denial and hopping on over into step two. Acceptance. When ordered in, the side salad is served with a handful of Mary’s Gone Crackers, and let me just say that appetizers shouldn’t really be done any other way. It was savory, yet sweet(from the generous sprinkling of raisins). Chewy, yet crunchy all at the same time(thanks to the slivered roasted almonds). I kid you not – I drove back out to the Westside for a second helping later that week. Don’t mind if I do. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area, and definitely still worth checking out even if you’re not! Obsessed.

DON’T ever get«Miracle Noodle Bowl». Worst $ 16.50 food I have ever had in my entire life. Let me tell you what it tastes like. It’s like you squeezed the mushroom water and mixed it with miso and added lemon+yuzu syrup all over it. If you want to go safe, get lazy sushi bowl.

Craved a burger and the Big Macro done did it. Definitely tasted healthy but it was still really delicious. Got it with a side of the Sweet Potatoes Fries and that spicy yuzu mayo… WOW. Put that mayo on the burger too… soo good. Definitely recommend!

So many healthy options here that are also really tasty. Deli salads change seasonally. The«M Chopped Salad» is easily one of my favorite salads in LA. Also frequently get the soup and love that they have a «miracle noodle» lo-carb option. The tofu«egg» salad is another favorite of mine!

The nice guy behind the counter explained that most menu items were vegan and everything here is macrobiotic. Everything we ordered on my second visit was delicious! What was so delicious: 1. Vegan sushi rolls in deli case 2. Grilled vegetables 3. Flaxseed broccoli 4. Macro burger 5. Vegan tiramisu 6. Vegan chocolate pudding The staff are really helpful and friendly. If you can nab a spot in the microscopic parking lot in the front, kudos to you!

Came here for lunch with my dad. I am a Vegetarian and as far as «vegetarian» places go in LA, this place gets a pass from me. More of a 3.5 in my book, but I feel like it would become more of a four if I tried some other things. I got their version of a veggie burger combo, with a home made patty, home made fries, and a choice of drink(lemonade, duh!). I always order veggie burgers wherever I go. My dad had gotten it before and said it was good but a lot of bun, which is fine because I love bread. However the burger itself was kind of bland and, yes, there was too much bun. The other strange thing is although the burger was fresh, it didn’t have a lot of veggies on it and needed more flavor. There was way too much tomato and the sauce that was on it was watery and did not attribute much flavor. However, the fries came with some kind of beet ketchup which was very tasty and they should have put it all over the burger! Fries were good and crispy but a little too oily tasting for me. Lemonade was not my favorite. It was sour but not in a good way. Coleslaw here was AMAZING. Loved it. Favorite thing I ate here. Girl sitting across from us had some kind of udon noodle yellow curry tofu bowl which I totally had food envy over. Hopefully next time I come here I’ll order this! Nice outdoor patio but very crowded. Food is pretty expensive but healthy.

Finding a place with Asian food that’s vegan friendly is a challenge. Thankfully, M Café de Chaya hits the spot. I had the M Banh Mi with peanut kale salad. Everything was soaked in flavor, from the first bite I was hooked. Really excited to come back and try everything else.

They have a big selection of food; breakfast, brunch, pastries, juices and smoothies. All vegan and tasty! The patio outside is not too small and sitting inside is nice. Overall I loved it! Kinda wish they would clear the plates off out table.

Delicious fresh food and great vegan selection! The menu is a little confusing. You can pick a combo or mix and match from their displayed selection but some items cost additiona. l Many of the items on the menu are organic. Everything we had was tasty; the lemonade beet juice; grilled salmon; kale with peanuts salad and the soba noodles. Can’t wait to come back!

I love this place. They recently streamlined the menu a bit, and I sincerely miss the BBQ Seitan Sandwich A LOT& side dishes seem a little smaller(Please bring back the BBQ!). Other than that, no complaints. Everything here is good. The BLT, the macro meals, the kale salad, the cakes, the teeny tiny lattes, the korean bowls — the toughest challenge is picking what to get, so i’m pretty happy(but please bring back the BBQ!)

I have probably not eaten in any other establishment in LA more than M Café. It is consistently delicious and consistently clean. I have never once gotten sick here. The vegetables are incredibly fresh and seasonal. I don’t like that they’ve raised prices, but I guess they figured they could and not lose business and it’s true. Plus organic veggies are expensive. Thai curry bowl is not to be missed(recommend subbing with quinoa). Or the banana Mille fleur — one of the best I’ve ever had and I’m not vegan. The sweet potato fries are addictive.

This my favorite healthy meal in town. Owned by a guy who used to be Gwyneth Paltrow’s personal chef & this place is pure heaven. They just opened 4 new ones but this location is where it all started. Order the big M(think big Mac) which tastes like a burger but has no meat. The fries come with homemade ketchup that tastes like ketchup but isn’t. Personal assistants run in & out of here all day on food runs. There’s lots of parking in the back.

Yummmm. Friendly service, great ambiance, healthy food options, reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? I opted for their 2 salad combo and selected the peanut kale salad(thanks to the Unilocal reviews on here, thanks Unilocalers!) and the madera tempeh salad($ 2 extra but worth it). Since I didn’t understand what the latter entailed they happily gave me a sample and I loved it. Its a huge serving so you will definitely fill up. Not a ton of parking but there are a few additional spots behind the restaurant as well as street parking. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely go there.

Went to M café today for the first time. Really nice looking restaurant. The staff was nice but stressed. For a restaurant that serves a healthy clientele i was disappointed to see the cook snarl at my request to use serving gloves. They have an open window where you can watch the food be prepared and cooked. There was a jar of nuts used for garnishing orders and the cooks were chomping away on them, rubbing their noses and not using any gloves. This is why i requested gloves. So the 2 stars were for the unsanitary practices I saw. And the cooks were all in a rush. The food was good. They did not follow the dietary requests I put in and used oil. m café used to be a cool place but seems the quality has gone down. No One was really in there.

Argggg!!! Why did you switch up the menu and remove one of my favorite salads? BOOOOOO! I also get a lot of carry out salads here and the container is now much smaller than what it used to be so you’re NOT getting any value at all when you take out. Better to eat there as you get more. I tried the new Cesar to go — and it was literally 10 bites of salad and fish for $ 16.50. Total rip off.

My new ABSOLUTE favorite spot in all of LA. I absolutely love this place! With a heart for macrobiotics this is a gold mine. I had the tempeh quinoa bowl & just had to try the GF/V cinnamon roll made from garbanzo bean meal. It was all soooo delicious. The menu had almost TOO much options that I wanted to try. I will most definitely be back!

This location of M Café is just as good as the Beverly Hills location and the service is slightly better. They have free 1 hour parking in the back and more seating than their sister restaurant. I don’t want to repeat my review since I did Beverly Hills but I highly recommend the M Chop, the Madras Tempeh and the Peanut Kale side. They have great desserts here too. My favorite is the Tiramisu. The only problem I have with this entire chain is that they are vegan and macrobiotic yet they serve fish. Vegans don’t want fish but other people do I guess so it’s a happy medium for those people. All in all they are totally consistent and delicious.

I used to love M Café. When I was a die hard vegan, M Café was one of my favorites. Now that I’m vegetarian, I have more choices, therefore I haven’t frequented as much as before. Now I go every few months when my boyfriend craves the sweet potato lime fries. My last visit, sunday, April 22, was a just okay experience. First of all, I ordered the Macro burger with sweet potato fries. Instead of ringing me up for the combo, the girl rings it up separately. And then I have to wait for her to get a card to void my transaction and redo the charge on my card. Why wouldn’t the staff always encourage giving customers the best possible price and combination? Plus I wanted my drink that comes with the combo. Then when the food arrived, I had to go back inside to ask for napkins and silverware. I am not a caveman, I need those things to eat. Finally, the food quality has gone down. I am not sure if they changed suppliers or something, the those sweet potato fries were not as good as they used to be. They used to be thick cut, looked almost hand cut and crisp, the ones I received there thin cut and went from some being soggy to others being burnt, almost like I was given the bottom of the bag. The burger patty seemed different, still good, but the burger is not the same. My favorite was the bun. I loved the chewiness. For my drink I chose the regular lemonade. I used to have the kale lemonade, but last year they changed how they make it and now it tastes like foot, unless they changed it again since last year. Café graitude does vegan food better. Sorry.

Parking situation is very very bad. They have a great selection of salads in the deli/market style display. I remember ordering some pasta and sushi and they were okay but nothing to shout to the world about. Except their Sweet Potato Fries. Oh my lord the SWEETPOTATOFRIES! You MUST order the sweet potato fries. The accompanying aioli made this the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. «So far», I have to qualify. But still, the best. Selections are a bit pricey. Service = eh. Could be better? I’ve tried asking questions about heir menu but got monosyllabic responses. I don’t know how but a fly managed to get inside the display case. That’s important to some people.

Literally have been stalking their menu for months now and I can say that it did not disappoint at all. My only disappointment was not being able to come and eat here everyday! I tried the miracle noodles with Coconut curry topped with black cod. I loved how there were so many choices of proteins and you could almost customize your main. And their menu is HUGE! There is something for everyone and it’s super healthy! Vegans and non-vegans will love it! They even have super healthy desserts and even some from Babycakes NYC. Curry craving satisfied — healthily as well!
